God is faithful!! I posted a video a few weeks ago about having lost my smell and how I was going to miss the smell of honeysuckle. I have such precious childhood memories of honeysuckle and it’s my favorite smell. 😊 Today, God showed that he was right with me through this Parkinson’s journey….He gave me the ability to smell honeysuckle on my walk this morning. This reminds me of a couple of GREAT Bible verses: 1) John 10:10 - "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." and the other one, that has SOLEY captivated my heart, is Romans 8:28 - "And we know that all things work together for good to them who love God, and to them who are called according to His purpose." I am a walking testimony to these verses. Back in 2019 my life, as I saw it, was done. My husband was against me, he was turning our daughter against me, and all I had was my God and my son, Adam. GRANTED, I was thankful for those two, however, I wanted my WHOLE family. So, in obedience, I got down on my knees and begged God and cried to Him for resolution, and fast. But God said, "Be still, and know that I am God." every, single, time. I was like, "What, why?" Why should i be still. I know you are God. But I abided. I would sit on my couch, with Bible in hand, and just watch my so-called "love of my life" treat me with utter disrespect, and hate toward me, and it opened my eyes and completely DEFINED what "Love is Blind" means. God KNEW what He was doing ...and He knew what He was doing IN ME. Yes, I had to WAIT on the Lord, and TO GOD BE THE GLORY, it was worth the calluses on my knees and the toilet paper wasted to wipe my tears away, but they were NOT in vain. Amen!!! I have my daughter's relationship RESTORED & not only that, she came back to me, with a boyfriend who LOVES GOD, and is sooooooo very good to her. GOD will restore what was meant to be lost, broken, or dead. And now, my ex lives int hat big ol' 2000sq ft home, alone. You do reap what you sow. Sitting with Dean Phylicia Rashad for an hour chatting was mind boggling and a life long destined meeting.
