А когда Обида поселяется в жизни и в душе человека, то на душе у такого человека становится очень тяжело. Да и сам Обида чувствует себя не слишком хорошо, и просится наружу. Некоторые люди ни за что не хотят выпускать Обиду на свободу: они сразу же называют этого зверька своим и начинают кормить и опекать его, а тому все равно ничего не нравится в человеке, и он просится наружу. Но поскольку у Обиды плохое зрение, сам выбраться он не в состоянии и этой своей слепотой он заражает человека, который упорно не хочет выпустить его на свободу. В конечном счете Обида от отчаяния начинает давить тоску по свободе поеданием всего, что попадется под его лапки. И у человека то там начинает болеть, то тут, но выпускать зверька он все равно не хочет. Обида продолжает есть и расти, расти и есть… Про таких людей так и говорят – «их Обида гложет». Рано или поздно Обида прирастает к человеку и становится его частью. Человек будет становиться все слабее, а Обида – все сильнее и сильнее. А понять то, что он должен был отпустить зверька, ослабевший человек, увы, никак не может. Вывод: Обида – это #состояниедуши , которое мы выбираем сами. Tale of a Rose Vater pflegte die Rosen so delikat als wären sie eine Liebhaberin. Die Rosenzucht war für ihn mit das Wichtigste das es um das Haus zu tun gab. Keine Rose durfte gebrochen, kein noch so kümmerliches Pflänzchen vergehen. Immer wieder beobachtete ich ihn – sitzend vor der roten Ranke voll Rosen. Er wirkte nachdenklich, sanft, irgendwie zerbrechlich. Einmal setzte ich mich neben ihn, nun nicht mehr ihn, sondern die Rosen beobachtend, wie sie voll und prächtig an der Ranke hingen. "Pik dich nicht", sagte Vater als ich mich vorsichtig der Ranke näherte. Wenn man gut genug aufpasste und den Stil nur sanft berührte, konnte einem nichts passieren. Ich hatte mich schon damals gefragt, ob die Rosen für ihn eine Art Ventil waren an die er seinen Schmerz abgeben konnte. Vater war eine Rose, die, mit Samthandschuhen angefasst, ganz ungefährlich war. Das aber verstand Mutter nicht. Solange Vater seine Rosen um sich hatte, war er nicht allein. Being able to do repair work in ANY relationship is crucial to relational health. Being able to own our part. Being able to follow through with efforts to clean up any messes we’ve made. Being true to our word if we’ve made promises towards repair. We all screw up. We all fail in relationships. It’s normal. And I’m not about judgement and objectification of people or shaming them for making mistakes. I know how much I’ve been forgiven. But I am about showing value. I am about words and actions being consistent. I am about a willingness to have hard conversations. To take corrective action. I am about putting love in action. Screwing up doesn’t make you inadequate or bad. Telling the truth about our mistakes sets us free. It breaks the shame. Truth telling opens up the door for forgiveness. It paves the way for understanding. Backing up our apologies with effort, change in behavior and follow through is powerful medicine. It can feel so scary to face it all. But ultimately it will set you free. A short story: I was excited that my tomato tree was growing big and soon I would be eating tomatoes from my #balconygarden you can already see it was flowering. But I just woke up one morning and found the stem bending, (I hadn't initially supported it) but on trying all I could to keep it upright, I would always find it bending every morning. I realized the top leaves were wilting and so I decided to #cutitbackandwatchitgrow I will not forget to post once it bounces back. It has been quite a week of having to advocate for my kids and I am quite exhausted. Parenting can be exhausting. It has so many beautiful moments, but a lot of terrifying ones as well. I’ve learned that many times it’s the people you need to trust most with your child that can become the most harmful. Their caretakers… their parents… this is just a scary world to raise children in. But I’ve also found hope in the people that have reached out to help me over the last weeks. It’s a special type of desperate to ask internet strangers for help, but that desperation led me to some resources and answers that I needed. I’m glad my ego didn’t prevent me from exposing my vulnerability, because I would not have received that help. My health has been the worst this year, my work has been the worst this year, my joy is pretty non-existent right now to be honest. I fake smile a lot. I haven’t felt happy in a very, very long time. But with solutions come progress and healing and I am excited to begin that healing process. If you find your self in the midst of a storm, just do what you can and forgive yourself for what you can’t. That’s what I’m trying to work on now. Forgiving myself for not being the best mom, not being the best teacher, and not being the best friend. Being stretched too thin is a thing and having a village to lean on is important. It’s a lesson I’ve had to learn over and over again the hard way. So today’s lesson: Practice #forgiving yourself. Keep trying to grow your #village . Never stop fighting for your kids. . 04.25.24
