⭐ Update ⭐ ICYMI I broke my wrist a few weeks ago, pretty badly too.... I had surgery last week. So I've been pretty quiet on here because, I can't really do anything! I'm still not sure when I'll be up and running again, I'm hoping that in a couple of weeks I might be allowed to do a little sewing, but it'll probably be June before I can get back into it properly 😔 I really miss my machines! But I thought I'd just let you know that I'll keep the April monthly offer up for now, cos I can't do one for May anyway. That colour blocked jumper is just $49! Also, the @deb.mcnaughton one is on sale for $85 and it's the last one left! (Size 14, search 'moon' on the website 😉). The market takes over the whole of the town centre, sprawling the length of its main high street, large car park, several side streets and the picturesque cobbled Catherine Hill. Head down to the car park to visit this month’s vintage traders, check out the boutiques, galleries and smaller suitcase stalls on Catherine hill. Pictured here, legendary local artist, Win Ash, looks on as Founding Curator of the Art Section, Gene ‘Chub’ Makim, brokers a deal with prospective buyer, Deidre McGill of Crooble, for one of Win’s paintings of Eucalypts – which Diedre happily purchased. Today, the McGills live in the Pittsworth area and still treasure their beautiful Win Ash painting. We’re pretty proud of our Aspects Art Show here in Goondiwindi. How lucky we are to have people in our community with a love of art and vision. Over the years, our Art Show has changed and grown, but the passion behind the show and support of our community has remained constant. What do you get when you cross a mural artist with a jewellery designer? Some extremely colourful earrings! 🎨 I met @mollymural by chance, we took one look at each other’s work and pretty soon got chatting about a collaboration! Molly started the design process by creating some beautiful collages to work from, before browsing through my materials and colours to create a bold and sparkly palette. I then took her drawings, got to work with some digital drawing and lasers, and sampled our first pair of earrings. We’ve been busy working away making these earrings together and they’re finally ready to share with you all! I’ve loved having a glimpse into Molly’s colourful world. If you’re local to Bristol you may well have seen her artwork, if not, pay her instagram a visit ASAP for some uplifting colour and pattern. Stepping outside of my usual design themes and colour palettes has been exactly what I’ve needed. I’ve loved doing something a bit (well, a lot) different to my typical style, it’s shaken up my design process and reignited my love of abstract, geometric shapes too! We’re super excited to be launching our first batch of these earrings at @thefromeindependent on May 5th, where we will each have our own stalls.
