I've never been much of a fan of fast food restaurants. Formerly working a third shift and living a bachelor's life, I'll admit, there was a spell where I partook in some of that nasty stuff. But, I'll also be the first to state that yes, the "food" that I had would have an aftermath effect on me afterward on my system. Frequently, the next day, I'd either fast or conduct a cleanse of sorts to help reboot my system back to normal. What did I learn overall? Well, one that I need to marry me, a woman who's a holistic health nut to help me strive for the straight and narrow. 🥴 Secondly, that food plays a massive role in our behavior in both our health, energy, and mental clarity on life. Personally, Chick-fil-A and KFC were never industries I'd gravitate towards as their sandwiches seemed overrated and overpriced. Considering it's been revealed, they're loaded with tons of ingredients that are designed to make the chicken addictive to the consumer. It's literally become a fast food crack joint. Will our FDA change this? Pfftt! Heck, no! They're the parasites who sanctioned it by turning a blind eye to the whole affair because their overlords bid it so. They want a weak, addictive, and compliant populace. Dumbed down to the point when they're confronted with truth, they're the first to react with a haha emoji, a clown face, or a cognitive dissonance response. This is modern America. Impulsive. Currupt. Arrogant. They're hungry for immediate gratification, not thirsting for knowledge and truth. God stared in best via the prophet Hosea 4:6, "My people perish for a lack of knowledge. Because though hast rejected knowledge, I will reject you from being priest to Me; because you have forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget your children."

The towering 56-foot-tall steel-sided structure is a stylized rooster, complete with a moving beak and eyes, that overlooks a KFC restaurant. The Big Chicken was built in 1963 for a restaurant called Johnny Reb’s Chick-Chuck-‘N’-Shake (see below). The owner, Stanley R. “Tubby” Davis, commissioned the construction of the seven story tall Big Chicken as a way to advertise his eatery. Davis earned the nickname “Tubby” due to his feats of devouring whole buckets (tubs) of chicken. Soon after it was complete, the 56-foot tall towering landmark became a reference point and local favorite, and phrases like “turn left at the big chicken” or “just one mile south of the big chicken” became common. A few years after construction of the big chicken, Davis sold Johnny Reb’s to his brother in 1966, who later turned it into a franchise of KFC in 1974.

Harland also had a hotel and gas pump next door to the cafe back in the day where travelers could recharge.🍗 Family snippets of stories: My uncle and my dad were bell hops at the hotel near their college and carried the COL’s luggage… My uncle sat in his long white Cadillac one night too… Said he was a short little man... He carried a wod of $1 bills in his pocket one night and gave a bus boy $1 to go get a haircut... Mom said she met the COL when he walked around campus. He was on the board of trustees there… The cafe was also a bus stop.
