Coro Chocolate Cafe Taste: 8/10 Service 7/10 Venue: 7/10 Price: 8/10 A short while back i visited Coro Chocolate Cafe, and it was a chocolate lover's dream come true! Please note that my visit was pre-new management, so I'm eagerly anticipating the changes they might have brought. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the chocolate biscoff cheesecake with ice cream. The cake was incredibly moist and rich, with a deep, decadent chocolate flavor that left me craving for more. The pairing with the creamy ice cream was a stroke of genius, adding a delightful contrast of temperatures and textures to each bite. It's safe to say that this dessert alone is worth a visit to Coro. Also loving the cookie dough, i will warn i would recommend to share as it can get abit too sickly so order some water! The ambiance of the cafe was cozy and welcoming, but definitely needing a makeover. While I haven't experienced the new decor and menu under the new management, I'm excited to see what they have in store. If they maintain the same dedication to chocolatey goodness, I'm sure Coro Chocolate Cafe will continue to be a go-to destination for chocolate enthusiasts. In summary, Coro Chocolate Cafe, in its previous form, delivered an outstanding chocolatey experience. I can only imagine the potential for improvement and innovation with the new management. 📍Coro The Chocolate Cafe, Edinburgh We visited Coro on a bit of a miserable day for some brunch. I had a pumpkin spice hot chocolate and a pesto and mozzarella crepe. The crepe was absolutely lovely, great mix of flavours and a good blend of sweet and savoury. Although I loved it, I do wish there were more savoury veggie options - loved the idea of bacon and egg pancakes/waffles but these only came in a meat option and for savoury veggie food crepes were the only thing available. I am not exaggerating when I say the hot chocolate was literally the best I ever had 😍 it's made with real chocolate and I love that you can modify it and add syrups for more flavour. I got milk chocolate but there's also the option to have dark or white chocolate Unfortunately despite the food being good, the service was disappointing. The person who served us was quite cold and after serving the food never came back to check if it was ok or if we needed anything else. My food was served by one of the chef's who was very smiley and welcoming so it seems it's only some staff who aren't quite up to standard. We were also planning on ordering a fondue to share but no one came to clear plates or offer us the bill so eventually we just left and paid at the counter. Third time lucky 🍀 • 💷 Fruit Fondue For One £6.99 💷 Nutella & Strawberry Crepe £5.75 • Decided to give this place another shot after two bad experiences and on those two occasions I didn’t even try the food because customer service was awful. I’m not going to go into detail but they certainly redeemed themselves third time round. I went for the fruit fondue which consisted of marshmallows, bananas, strawberries, raspberries and clementines and a pot of smooth velvety melted chocolate. There was plenty of fruit so more than enough for dipping which I really liked.
