Ok, I probably got way too excited over this. But I HATE having to figure out which stalls are open. This is located at the front of Animal Kingdom, right by the lockers. I don't frequent this bathroom, so sorry if this are old news to some.... but I sure hope Disney does this everywhere! Do you think Tangled deserves more than bathrooms at Disney World?! I love these bathrooms, but I wish there was a ride or something instead. I kind of feel weird taking pics in front of of bathrooms. 😂 but I will do it.

These are just a few of the best bathrooms in Walt Disney World. ✨🚽 Some of them are popular for how clean they are, some are popular for how quiet they are. Did you know about these bathrooms?

The thing about a beautiful backpack is the people around get to appreciate it more than the wearer. I was delighted that Jemima chose to wear her favourite backpack to Magic Kingdom -it looked stunning in the tangled area. Until last month I hadn't seen this area in WDW. The funny thing is I remember it as a cable car station -but that was over 35 years ago now 😲 (I've been going to Disney for that long!) Anyway, this was the perfect Loungefly to take with us ..from @lflovers_official If you haven't seen Jemima's reel of when she shows this bag to Rapunzel herself check it out. @magicmadjem #loungeflylovers #loungefly #loungeflydisney #loungeflyxdisney #tangled #rapunzel #rapunzelloungefly #loungeflyfan #waltdisneyworld #LoveLoungefly #magickingdom #disneyparkphotography #disneypark #tangledrestrooms #disneyrestrooms #disneycontentcreator

Reminder.....✨ Find something to celebrate every day. • This life is so hard sometimes, that it doesn't need us to be hard on ourselves. You could have the worst day of your life, but even on that horrible day, there's still something to celebrate. Your celebration could be as simple as getting out of bed that morning or treating yourself to something you've been thinking about buying. Life shouldn't be a competition where you compare yourself to others. Where in the Disney World 🌎 can you find this restroom? Comment your guess below! ⬇️ It’s a little off the beaten path… so here’s a hint: this place has a theme song from long ago that I couldn’t forget if I tried.

Did you know that public restrooms larger than three stalls are required to have drains? These “just in case” drains are usually round, but in Batuu you can find stylized linear drains that are a little less conspicuous than just a round drain in the center of the restroom. I actually think the design looks a little like Aurebesh.

Who says white subway tile is boring? Certainly not Caribbean Beach Resort’s Old Port Royale Restrooms! Especially considering some of the unbelievably gorgeous details in the sink area, I think white subway is exactly what this bathroom needed.

Let me know in the comments ⬇️ Do you think stand-alone sinks like this one at the Affection Section count as being #DisneyBathroom related?🚰

Yeah, that tends to be what happens. 🫧 The Coca-Cola Store and Rooftop bar 🥤 is where you can find a surprise rooftop bathroom! The bathroom itself is pretty standard, but because it’s part of the rooftop bar rather than the store, there is a beautiful view of Disney Springs when you step outside the bathroom! I’ll post some view photos to my stories.

“Jumpin’ Jellyfish!” - Sebastian the crab and anyone who walks past this ride at Disney California Adventure🪼🪼🪼This restroom sign is what I call a “directional sign,” for lack of a better descriptor. It’s the type of sign that points to where the restrooms are rather than labels them. This sign points to the Paradise Garden Grill Restrooms. 🪴

Wilderness Lodge is modeled after the National Park Lodges of Western North America. The design of Wilderness Lodge is also heavily influenced by the Native American culture of the West. One of the elements in WL’s design that can be most attributed to Indigenous culture is actually the lighting. 🫧 If you look up ⬆️ in the lobby you will see multiple chandeliers unlike any you may have seen anywhere else. They are huge and really just a magnificent sight. They are authentic rawhide chandeliers, pictured here in the first photo above the entrance to the Restroom/Telephone/Water Fountain vestibule. Rawhide (dried animal skin that has not been tanned, hence the lighter color) had many uses in Native American history. Drums, shelter, bags, and even dreamcatchers were made out of this pliable, yet sturdy material. The pieces of rawhide that make up the chandelier are also likely sewn together with cord made from leather or rawhide. 🫧 Rawhide light fixtures also give an excellent backdrop for a “shadow puppet” effect. As you can see the chandelier features different animals and tribal markings. The dark colors used in the artwork on the light fixtures really pop against the backlit, light colored rawhide. You can see a great example of this in the third photo which features a flush-mounted light fixture that depicts a drawing of a horse and his rider. 🐴 These light fixtures are true showstoppers. (The third photo depicts the restroom sign that you can’t see in the second photo because taking pictures of lights is hard 😅)

It’s #WorldShowcaseWednesday so let’s do a little spotlight on the France Pavilion 🇫🇷 restrooms! 🫧 For a brief moment, these were the newest bathrooms at Epcot. But with all the changes at Epcot, they have been churning out new restrooms at a rate that I’m not complaining about! But the France restrooms still feel very new to me. I was automatically excited about them as soon as I discovered they were a freestanding building (my favorite type of restroom because it reminds us all that restrooms are important enough to build a whole building for!) And they did not disappoint- though I do long for the days before Remy was open and these restrooms were wayyyy less crowded than they tend to be now. 🫧 I really appreciate that this bathroom is designed with a rustic base (literally…I’m talking about the brick flooring) with elegance layered upon it. I think this rustic/elegant dichotomy is the perfect blend for a Parisian bathroom because while Paris is amazingly elegant and fancy, it’s also old. I like that this bathroom captures that. In particular, I feel like the white embossed tile is juxtaposed against the more muted tile on the rest of the walls. And the sheen of the stall doors is juxtaposed against the rugged brick flooring.

Happy #TrashcanTuesday from the labeled trashcan in the single stall restroom on the Club Level of the Animal Kingdom Lodge. 🦒 🦓 🐐 This restroom is very dark, so the pictures aren’t my favorite, but I really wanted you all to see all the beautiful details in such a small space! The textured wallpaper, the intricate tile framing the mirror, and even the wood carving on the vanity! It’s all lovely… even in the dark! I also really love the design on the trash sign. 🚮

Do the bathroom people 🚻 on the restroom sign for the outdoor eating area of Yak & Yeti look familiar to you? That’s because they are dressed and posed almost identically to the inside restroom’s bathroom people! They are all dressed in the same Nepalese clothing, but with some color variations. Another slight difference- one of the ladies is wearing long sleeves and the other is wearing short. They also all have the same accessories- the women have a fan and the men have a walking stick.

9/1/2023, 12:58:14 AM

Trust me, you are not expecting the tile situation that lives behind this cozy brick exterior. Swipe ➡️ to check it out. I’m obsessed. This bathroom is a bit of a hidden gem. Right across from Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, it is new, well appointed, fairly quiet, and centrally located. It also has a companion restroom!

Restroom with a view ☀️ This is the pool restroom for the Feature Pool at the Contemporary Resort. The open-air hallway where you can find this restroom has a beautiful view over the dock to Bay Lake. I’m not sure if the boat launch from here to Wilderness Lodge is up and running again, but if it is, this is a PERFECT situation- you can stop at this restroom right before hopping on the boat! ⛴️ Love when I can stop at the restroom and see my destination. It makes me feel safe 😂 Because any time spent getting from a bathroom stop to my next thing, is just inching me closer to my next bathroom stop. (I’m looking at you Grand Floridian with your no easily accessible bathrooms in between the main building and the boat launch.)

One of the most special Disney Bathroom Details can be found at the Fantasyland Train Station restroom. Once you pass under the lovely archways, look at the far right wall and you will find this: a (fake) box marked for the fire department. This type of box may be for housing keys, accessing alarms, or storing an axe. What is really special about this detail though, is that it is labeled “Carolwood Fire Dept.” This is an homage to the Carolwood Pacific Railroad 🚂 - the storied railroad that Walt Disney built in his backyard. The name of the railroad is in reference to Carolwood Drive- the street Walt Disney’s home was on in Los Angeles. This detail (and other references to Carolwood within Storybook Circus) is so fitting because the restroom is so prominently featured alongside the Fantasyland Station! 🚂 🫧 Given how easy it would be to overlook bathrooms when placing story details, I get ecstatic whenever I see something like this. Thank you Imagineering!!

Last time I was at Epcot, I had a #DisneyDream come true! I got to have dinner at Teppan Edo! 🍜🍲🍚I’ve always loved hibachi, but I’ve never had the chance to do it at Disney and it did not disappoint. I had steak hibachi that came with veggies and same udon noodles that I’m still thinking about. The food was excellent, but the real star of the evening was how special the people were! Everyone at Teppan Edo was so sweet and they put on a great show! And of course, I got to check out a new bathroom. The interior of the bathroom is pretty basic, but I LOVE the signs. The fan shape is awesome. 🪭 What’s your dream Disney dining experience?

8/23/2023, 1:00:18 AM

Glow up or glow down? 🫧 Prior to the construction of Gran Destino Tower, the lobby of Coronado Springs was the “El Centro” area, near Panchito’s. This means that we sort of have a unique opportunity to compare the old and new lobby restrooms of the same resort! I know what I think, but I’m curious what you think! The first photo is the “old lobby” signage and the third photo is the “old lobby” interior. The second photo is the “new lobby” signage and the fourth photo is the “new lobby” interior. 🫧 I personally feel like the Gran Destino bathrooms are some of the prettiest on property and therefore this is a huge glow up. BUT I did not grow up going to Coronado Springs (my first time ever was only 2 years ago), so I don’t have any nostalgia associated with the older design. 🫧 Which bathroom design do you prefer?

🚰Water Fountains of the Tangled Restrooms🚰 is what we are celebrating this #TangledTuesday! While this area does not yet have a fancy water bottle filler (though keep an eye out for one @stuckinneverlandco !) there are a couple good ol’ fashioned water fountains! The first picture is of the pair of ornate water fountains that you can find mounted between the companion restroom and the men’s restroom. While they may be showing a little wear, I love that such ornate fountains exist! And if this themeing isn’t good enough for ya, check out the fountains in the second photo! This pair of fountains is made up of a bucket and a barrel. And this can be found in the Tangled seating area, which does have a more rustic vibe than the bathroom. I don’t know this for sure, but it does appear that the story of this second water fountain might be that the barrel holds a store of water and someone comes and fills the bucket from the barrel, places the lid back on the barrel, and then sets the bucket atop it where we can then drink from it.

You always hear “Canada or Mexico??” but never “Spaceship Earth East Restrooms or Spaceship Earth West Restrooms??” And that’s what I’m curious about! First photo is Spaceship Earth East and the second photo is West! (I never remember which is which) So, tell me ⬇️ which restroom is your first stop when you are entering the park? What about when you exit? For me, I always go to Spaceship Earth East because my family would always stop there and wait for each other by Gateway Gifts after we watched Illuminations 💜

8/15/2023, 1:11:12 AM

Did you know that before this area of Disneyland was called “Critter Country” it was called “Bear Country”? 🐻 I’m sure this bear wasn’t too pleased by the name change! He points to the restrooms at the Hungry Bear Restaurant.

🎶 My connection to the parks is through music, and one of my favorite background music loops is inside The Land Pavilion at EPCOT. 👂 It can be hard to hear, though, because of how loud it is in there, especially with all the sounds echoing. 💡 Pro tip? I’ve always been really afraid of getting trapped places (elevators, closets, small bathrooms, that type of thing.) Almost certainly, this has to do with the fact that I got stuck in my pre-k classroom bathroom because I couldn’t figure out how to open the door😅. Because of this, I never use an elevator (even in my own building) or go to the bathroom (even in places I’ve been before) without bringing my phone. I’ve always thought this was a little much BUT I was proved RIGHT. Because last night I stopped at a gas station to use the facilities (single stall restroom) and when I went to open the door, it would not budge. 😖 Thankfully, I was able to call my husband and he was able to open the door. I think it had swelled due to humidity and I needed someone stronger than me to open it. The whole ordeal probably lasted 2 minutes but I ✨did not handle it well ✨ I’m telling you this to a) let you know that you should always bring your phone to the bathroom and b) share with you that I did not freak out when I was actually stuck in the bathroom (I did later 🫠) because I was busy posting about it to my stories because I wanted to tell y’all about it. So, thank you for being my friends 💜

8/9/2023, 12:05:00 AM

Would you guys like to see more photos of the interiors of companion restrooms? At the moment, I don’t have much content from the inside of companion restrooms because I typically don’t go in them for fear of making someone who needs it think it’s busy. But it was recently brought to my attention that not all are the same size, so I thought folks might want to know.

8/7/2023, 12:05:00 AM

Have you ever noticed how many directions there are in and around bathrooms? In addition to the more practical directions like “Please Wash Your Hands for 20 Seconds” (pictured at the Flame Tree BBQ restrooms) and the paper towel dispenser that tells you to “Please Pull with Both Hands” (pictured at Pizzafari Restrooms), Animal Kingdom in particular also does a great job adding story-related directions and rules. The second photo is from the Expedition Everest restroom area. Here you can see that there is a small sign above the water fountains telling travelers that this is the safest water to drink in the area. This places us squarely in the world of Expedition Everest- where trekkers might be tempted to drink from streams or wells. I also wonder if the small pots above the fountains might be for the purpose of collecting water from these water fountains. The fourth photo, is my favorite story-driven directions near a bathroom. This photo is from the Harambe Theater restrooms, which is across from the Harambe Port of Entry and Customs. This sign is a reminder to travelers that you need your papers with you. This is my favorite because I love the (even subconscious) addition to the story that travelers might stop at the restroom before going through customs. Which, if you know me, my advice is to always go to the restroom before getting in any sort of queue!

8/4/2023, 1:10:55 AM

Old + New ➡️ The Disney Skyliner + a sign for Telephones. Even if folks don’t use them, I hope there is always vestigial association between telephones and restrooms. Fun fact about me: of the three things references in this photo (restrooms, telephones, and the Skyliner) I only use the restrooms. 🙈 I have literally never been on the Skyliner and I don’t plan to. I know many of you will try to convince me, but I get nervous on elevators, so I don’t think the Skyliner is what I need 😅

8/3/2023, 1:08:21 AM

Got a request for the Polynesian, so here ya go! When you think of the Polynesian Resort Restrooms, the first thing to come to mind is probably the very warm, orangey colors of the lobby restrooms. Which I LOVE. But, I thought I’d showcase a more cool-toned restroom that you might not have seen before! This is the pool bathroom at the Lava Pool. And despite lava 🌋 not exactly bringing anything other than warmth to mind, this restroom is one where even the neutrals have cool undertones. In addition to being painted blue, this restroom features glossy blue accent tiles that, if you look closely, have hand carved fish on them! You can see that close up in the second photo. The wall tile, is particularly interesting in this restroom because it seems (to me at least) to be evocative of wood paneling. In the third photo you can see the sort of fence post pattern in which it goes up the wall. As you can see, this tile also serves as more of a neutral in this design, but still has hints of light blue and gray in its coloring. All this cool-ness (both senses of the word!) paired with the traditional cherry-wood-toned signage of the Poly restrooms (which you can see with the baby sign) makes for a lovely juxtaposition.

Happy Christmas in July!! 🎄 What are Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves doing, you ask? Well, they are still vacationing at Winter Summerland, of course! We’ve got a couple months before the holiday season really ramps up, so our festive friends are partaking in one of the best mini-golf courses ever!!

7/26/2023, 1:01:36 AM

Apparently, I am very scared of construction walls because I assumed the Splash Mountain bathrooms were closed with construction! But apparently they have been open this whole time! This is exciting news for two reasons: 1) you can still use them and they are QUIET! @nomadloungers sent photos today of a totally empty bathroom. And 2) we might get to keep them! It’s totally possible that these will be redone closer to the opening of the ride, but it’s also possible that the themeing will remain the same. If I got to choose, I’d want to keep all the themeing, but change the men/women/companion signs to be frogs. 🐸 👑 Also, if you did not know, this restroom is now officially called “Frontierland Railroad Station Restrooms.” It was formerly “Splash Down Photos Restrooms.” I totally prefer the new name!!

7/25/2023, 12:55:56 AM

Would you believe me if I said that I’ve been to Typhoon Lagoon one time and I only took pictures of the bathrooms? 🫧 Well, you should. In 20+ years of going to Disney I’ve managed to never go to the water parks. It just wasn’t really my family’s thing and I don’t really like to swim. But last time I was at WDW, my husband and I got rained out of mini golf (I am PUMPED to use my rain check btw) and so we decided to do some exploring. Typhoon Lagoon was about to close, but we had just enough time to check out the bathrooms (and get some yummy donuts!)And so, that’s what we did! 🫧 I love the vibe of the bathrooms here, especially some of the details that point to Typhoon Lagoon’s history as a once perfect island paradise that was ravaged by a typhoon, such as the oar paddles that are used for the restroom signage! I can’t wait to come back and do Typhoon Lagoon for real. I may be the first person who was convinced to go to a water park based on how cool the bathrooms are.

Let’s hear it for the light fixtures at Animal Kingdom Lodge 👏👏👏👏 What are some of your favorite bathroom light fixtures?

7/20/2023, 1:04:44 AM

Happy ☀️Tangled Tuesday☀️ Next time you visit this bathroom area, make sure to check out the beautiful flowers planted in the center of the stone bench! In addition to being the central point from where the lanterns jut out, the round, stone bench in front of the restroom is also a planter! Based on my research these flowers are: Golden Daisy Bush (yellow ones); Jungle geraniums (magenta ones); and Madagascar periwinkle (lighter pink). Let me know if you’ve heard of other names for these flowers!

Today I was admiring how colorful my grid is and I thought I’d bring in something more monochromatic. There are *beautiful* all white, mostly gray, all black, etc. bathrooms on property and I wanted to celebrate them. But while looking for one to post, I came across some photos I’d forgotten about…. This is something I *never* do because I can find beauty in all bathrooms. BUT this is a bathroom I can’t stand. It is the bathroom in the on-property McDonald’s. 🫧 Truth be told, I can’t remember the last time I went to a McDonald’s, (I’m in love with Chick-fil-a), but I don’t recall McDonald’s being boring!! I went to this McDonald’s with the sole purpose of getting photos of this bathroom and BOY was I disappointed. My memories of McDonald’s (the very few I have, *cough thanks mom cough*) are colorful- a place that smelled of heavenly french fries and looked like someone really had a fun time designing it. I remember characters and bright primary colors and Hi-C. 🫧 Let me know if this bathroom has always been on life support because I don’t know. It does seem like it could be a “clean, modern” aesthetic casualty. My beef with this bathroom is not limited to its sterile appearance though. 🫧 This bathroom has *only* hand dryers. Even the newest bathrooms on property still have at least some paper towels. So, I did what any hand dryer oppositionist would do: I dried my hands with toilet paper and then exited the bathroom. That’s when I was confronted with the second thing I hate about this bathroom: the door. This door closed SO aggressively it made me fear for all the fingers in America. It was the loudest sound possible too. Imagine if I had used the hand dryer: loud hand dryer and then a loud door?? No no. We want loud colors, not loud sounds 🫧 At the end of the day, any bathroom is a good bathroom. Trust me, I’ve had…emergencies, so I know the value of a bathroom. But this bathroom is like a soggy fry: it’s technically what you asked for, but not at all what you wanted.

7/13/2023, 1:29:40 AM

Did you know the the Adventureland Breezeway restrooms have over FORTY stalls? (In the ladies’ room at least.) You may not have realized how big these bathrooms are because they don’t always feel that big. That’s because these restrooms (and their namesake breezeway) are usually very crowded. While the crowding in the breezeway can be attributed to its proffering of shade and shelter, for the bathroom a lot of its crowding can be attributed to what you see in the third photo: it’s basically in a bathroom desert! The only public bathroom that is even close on a map is all the way on Tom Sawyer Island. So, my recommendation is to check out this bathroom for its beautiful design, but try to hit a different bathroom to use before heading to Adventureland! Maybe Casey’s Corner! Or Pecos Bill’s!

The leaf-shaped (and sometimes leaf-adorned) restrooms signs at Downtown Disney are some of my favorite West Coast signs. Mostly because of the memories attached. 🫧 Back in 2019 I was on a trip to California where we were driving near(ish) Anaheim. We decided sort of at the last minute that we were going to drive to Disneyland as I had never been there before! We were just going to do some non-park things as we didn’t buy tickets. Even so, I just remember being so over-the-moon excited about the chance to get any glimpse of Disneyland things!! In addition to checking out Paradise Pier Hotel and The Grand Californian, we walked all around Downtown Disney. And I kept seeing these hot pink signs and they made me so happy because I couldn’t wait to share them to this account- which was still fairly new!! 🫧 So whenever I look at these signs I’m always reminded of the feeling of what a boon it was to get to unexpectedly go to Downtown Disney for the first time! I’ve been to Disneyland (for real) since then, and walking through Downtown Disney always takes me back to that first time when it felt like such a get to have photos of Downtown Disney restroom signs. 🫧 What are some restroom signs that make you nostalgic?

You know you’re at Disney when you find yourself taking pictures of *the floor.* Can anyone guess where you can find this creamy, geometric flooring? 🫧 I’m reading “The Imagineering Story” by Leslie Iwerks right now and oh boy. I don’t think I’ve ever taken this long to read a book- because I feel the need to fully soak up every sentence! I love seeing that a common thread in the history of WDI is attention to detail. Details like the floor.

Earlier today, @disney_surgeon posted an interesting Reel about the H2O+ products in her DVC Villa at Wilderness Lodge! It has been such an interesting ride these last few months with H2O+ and I love seeing reports of what people are noticing! For my part, last time I was at Disney I also stayed at Wilderness Lodge (in a standard room) and I had both the H2O+ lotion and H2O+ bar soap. This was back in April. If you watch Nicole’s Reel, you’ll see that she only had the lotion! And just a generic bar soap. This could be a trend or it could be a fluke. We literally do not know 😂 This is what we do know about the H2O+ situation (it’s a short list): - H2O+ announced in August of 2022 that they were retiring their brand at the end of the year. - In December 2022 H2O+ retired. - Disney has never addressed any of this. Other than those three facts, everything else is experiential speculation from me! My non-expert assessment is that there is a large stockpile of H2O+ products that Disney will continue to use until they run out. After that, anything is fair game. The only two guesses that I have for who might replace H2O+ (which I don’t even necessarily think are likely) are: Basin and Geirness. Both of these guesses are based on flimsy info- Basin has been a staple at Disney for a while and a previously H2O+ display at the Contemporary now has Geirness. But we really just don’t know anything, so flimsy guesses it is. It’s also very likely that whatever products become the Disney resort line are not branded other than “Disney.” 🫧 If @waltdisneyimagineering wants ideas, I think it would be really cool to do unique scents for each resort. Just sayin.

The theme of my account should really be “bathrooms, tile.” Because I feel like I’m always celebrating tile work! That’s because tile is largely the main design element we see in Disney Bathrooms-especially because the park bathrooms don’t have mirrors and often have industrial lighting. 🫧 This bathroom can be found in front of the Beach Club Resort on the pathway to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot. It’s a great spot to stop if you are entering Epcot that way! Though I do believe it’s key card access after a certain time. The amazing patterns and waves on the floor and walls of this bathroom (and a few others at Yacht and Beach Club with the same design) are made up of mosaic tiles- which are basically the tiniest tiles you can get! They are often only one inch by one inch! These tiles are so small that they often come in sheets with mesh backing to make installation easier. Think of how much effort went into making these impressive patterns- especially with such tiny tile!! Thank you bathroom designers, your work does not go unappreciated 🙏🏼

Happy Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny release day!! If adventure has a name, it must be…the Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar restrooms! This restroom area is house in the aforementioned bar at Disney Springs. This bar is where Jock Lindsey (pilot to Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark) set down some roots after discovering sunny central Florida! This former airplane hangar was converted to a bar by Jock who wanted travelers and members of The Society of Explorers and Adventurers to have a place to swap stories over drinks. 🫧 Because of Jock’s many travels and his friendship with Dr. Jones, this Hangar Bar has many exciting artifacts! Just stop in and ask an employee to tell you about the amazing pieces they have. To my delight, some of their most treasured pieces are housed in the “Lost and Found” locker that is located between the men’s and ladies’ rooms! 🚻 You can even see find the Staff of Ra (Second photo) and an Indy jacket that was actually used on set.

Many of you now know that there are walls up around the UK Pavilion restrooms. While I do not know if this is for repairs or a complete renovation, it could definitely be a reno ! If you’ll remember, this is an infamous Disney Bathroom Blue ™️ bathroom. While I will miss this, I am optimistic about a renovation, particularly because of the most recent World Showcase bathroom renovation: Morocco! 🫧 The Morocco Pavilion🇲🇦 bathrooms were renovated a year or two ago and they look awesome! They made my tile dreams come true! Specifically because the tile they used over the sinks mimics a style of tile design called “Zellij” or “Zellige.” This is a distinctly Moroccan type of tile work where small chiseled pieces of tile are put together in a mosaic- usually in a floral-looking tessellation. While the tile work above the sink area is not true Zellij, it is painted to look like that type of tiling. In addition, the type of tile that is on the wall between the men and ladies rooms is called “zellige” -which is a more modern type of tile which refers to tile that is not all uniform, inspired by the original Moroccan Zellij. It makes me so happy to see a World Showcase bathroom renovation honor the design elements of the country.

A little #ToyStoryTuesday and a little #TrashcanTuesday !! 🫧 Earlier this week, I asked y’all in my stories to share your favorite and least favorite #DisneyBathroom. The Toy Story Land restrooms were popular in *both* categories! 😝 🫧 I can definitely understand why. These are some of the most crowded bathrooms on property with some of the best themeing on property! Where do I come down on this issue? These are one of my favorite restrooms on property in terms of how they look and they are also some of my favorites to photograph- to the point that I often include these in my Top 5! BUT at the same time… I can’t remember the last time I actually used them!

If you’ve been following me for a bit, you’ll know that this archway leads to one of my favorite bathrooms on property! This is the Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant at Hollywood Studios and the bathroom is a gem. It’s tiled in an exciting, period-correct style that I just love! I mean, a crazy black and white tile pattern with black and white caricatures?? I love it! Another cool thing about this bathroom? In terms of getting to check out a restaurant bathroom without dining at said restaurant, it’s one of the easier ones! Especially for a sit down restaurant. When you walk into the Brown Derby you can either go towards the hostess stand or take a left (through this beautiful archway) and see the bathroom! Much easier than having to sneak past the hostess stand to get to the bathroom- which I definitely don’t do. 😉

Did you know that even though the Disney App will show you where to find Companion Restrooms in the parks, it does not show Companion Restrooms at the resorts? This is a huge problem for folks who require access to these types of bathrooms. Someone once even shared with me that it prevents them from visiting Disney Resorts- because they can’t count on having facilities to use. In terms of where and if resorts have Companion Restrooms, it’s sort of a grab bag. Newer resorts like Riviera tend to have a Companion Restroom with every facility, but for other resorts you really have to look for it. So, if you are someone who requires access to a Companion Restroom, I am doing my best to keep track of where they are. If you go to my profile, you’ll see that I have a highlight called “Companion” -which is where I share all of the bathrooms I’ve posted that have companion restrooms. I will also try to be more intentional about specifically sharing the Companion Restrooms at resorts. In the interest of that goal, these two green-doored Companion Restrooms can be found at The Polynesian and Caribbean Beach Resort, respectively. The Poly restroom can be found on the second floor near Ohana and the CB restroom is at the main lobby entrance!!

Pizzafari Frog- call that Pizzafroggi. 🍕🐸 And yes, I can see that he’s very broken. But he’s still special.

MORE new things to welcome ➡️ the World Nature restrooms are officially open!! 🤗💚🪴 That mural is so COOL I’m glad their giving each of the restrooms their own character ☺️🪴S/o to one of my favorite accounts @wdw_bathrooms for the notice on its opening! 💚Really exciting to see progress on this area moving more quickly and excited to welcome this new restroom back to the park! 🥰 #disenyparks #epcot #worldnature

I just wanted to thank you all for being so awesome!! The newly redone World Nature bathroom was barely open for a day and you had already sent me a bunch of photos and videos!! Since I’m not local to Orlando, I used to worry about not being able to give you the most up-to-date content. But I know that I can count on so many of you to let me in on the most breaking bathroom news!! You guys are really the best. Keep tagging me in your photos of the new World Nature Bathrooms- which are a green version of the pictured World Discovery bathrooms!! Also, keep your eyes peeled for a question box in my stories- since we have a new mural, we need a name! I’ll start that process up soon!

🚨NEW BATHROOM ALERT🚨 It finally happened!!! The construction walls are down around the World Nature bathrooms!!! Check out my stories to see photos from my friends @travelingwithtenley and @peoplemovertohogwarts who were at Epcot today and got some photos of the NEW MURAL!!! Yes, we have a new bathroom mural. And it is wonderful. I’m so happy. Now…. All we need is a name. The mural at World Nature’s sister bathroom is called the Candy Cane wall…. What do you think we should call our new green wall???

Happy #HalfwayToTheHolidays! 🎄🎃🎅🏻👻🎁 I actually hate summer, so I crave any chance to be reminded of the superior part of the year. If you’re like me, and are always looking for a taste of some holly jolly fun, head over to Disney Springs and the Disney’s Days of Christmas shop! It is a year-round bastion of ho-ho-hope for those of us who thrive during the holiday season. And it has a bathroom right next to it! So we have a year-round festive bathroom exterior! On the interior as well, the accent tiling features evergreens (or pre-Christmas trees, if you will.)🌲

6/16/2023, 1:07:30 AM

Still not over getting to see this place basically empty!! It was worth getting up early- which, unlike Rapunzel- I hate doing. I hardly ever see 7:15 😂 What’s your favorite place/ride to rope drop?

6/14/2023, 1:28:29 AM

Don’t ever walk past a piece of art at Disney without taking a closer look! This floral mosaic hangs in the restroom vestibule of the Chronos Club at Coronado Springs Resort. At first glance, this piece of art looks to be just a colorful collage of paper. Upon further inspection though, you’ll see that this piece of art is made up of stamps from around the world! I’m no philatelist ✉️ but I can see stamps from the UK, Egypt, and Finland! Do any of the stamps stand out to you? I wonder if this piece of art is meant to be a tribute to Walt Disney’s love of travel. 🤔

Did you know that there are real brass handles on the stall doors in the bathroom at Cinderella’s Royal Table? These beautiful, intricate handles require special care too! Custodial Cast Members have to clean them with brass polish to keep them in top shape. 🫧 To the CM who made some magic happen for me and took me to see these singular bathroom fixtures: thank you so much. I will truly never forget it!!

Today is the day I like to post about Le Cellier! Because it’s my husband’s birthday and this is his favorite Disney restaurant! Why is it his favorite? PRETZEL BREAD. If you haven’t had it, you are missing out. If you have had it, but haven’t asked for your butter to have extra maple sugar on it, you are still missing out. What’s your ideal Disney restaurant?

It finally happened! I got to visit the new Tron Bathrooms! I may not have ridden Tron, but you know I checked out the bathrooms!! (I had every intention of riding, but it was down when I was there.) 🫧 My impression was that the consensus was that these bathrooms were a little underwhelming. And I actually disagree. Are they emblematic of the strong move towards “clean/sleek/modern” that Disney seems to be making? Yes. But does that vibe actually work here? Yes. The other bathrooms in Tomorrowland actually follow a similar formula of mostly sleek and chill design + some small (albeit very interesting!) details. 🫧 While I’m a lover of crazy, statement-making bathrooms, I also appreciate those that are quieter and focus on details. The Tron bathroom is one of those. The hexagonal and circular light fixtures inside and outside the bathrooms are an extremely cool touch that is very evocative of a Tomorrowland aesthetic. Also, I don’t know if this is intentional, but the tile in the entryway sort of mimics the color and “movement” of the Tron canopy. 🫧 My favorite little detail though, is the sink/stall door material. I’m actually not sure if it’s the same material, but it looks almost identical. Both the sink trough and the stall doors feature a deep purpley-grey color with very subtle swirling throughout the material. If this looks familiar to you, it’s because the Rockettower Plaza restrooms (the ones next to Space Mountain) feature countertops that also have a “galaxy” pattern to them! I love keeping swirly countertops in the Tomorrowland family! And with the addition of the triangular pattern, the stall doors are especially striking.

Did I Rope Drop the Tangled Restrooms? Yes. Was it totally worth it? YES.
