We’ve worked with Francois Lurton’s Argentina wines before, but this is the first of his French wines we’ve tried. Labeled as a white dessert wine, this blend of cognac and white wine is aged for 10 years in oak barrels which results in flavors of hazelnut, dried oranges, vanilla and honey. Honestly, the timing is something out of a fairytale, so much so, we can’t help but think Maime has had everything to do with it…Believe it when we say this sounds absolutely crazy, but it’s as though she’s personally snail-mailed this gift to us right from Heaven.
