Mechanical Soul is a musical group from the future whose name was on the same sign as the Kristos, our contortionist friends from the future. During the busy Epcot holiday season Mechanical Soul played outside of the Innoventions East breezeway in 2004. I did not see them listed in the entertainment guide any other time, so their time at Epcot might have been brief. Maybe just holiday 2004? They have also played at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival’s Party for the Senses a few years. They were listed in the 2008 festival guide as entertainment at Party for the Senses. Mechanical Soul composer Grayson Wells composed the music for Soarin’s dedication during the Happiest Celebration on Earth. In this video the band has four members: Grayson, Charlie, Sam, and Ross. They play “instruments of the future”. I was sad to learn that the composer for Mechanical Soul, Grayson Wells, passed away on March 29, 2009 at the age of 39. .
