Одна из недавно законченных работ - реставрация акустики Sansui SP. G300II. Акустика была на мебельных ножках - колёсиках, некоторые из них были выломаны с частью корпуса. Цвет был выгоревший на солнце. Кроме того были разрушены терминалы и от них оторваны провода. В процессе реставрации были заново переустановлены терминалы и пропаяны провода. Корпуса отшлифованы и протонированы морилкой Borma, а затем нанесено паркетное масло с твёрдым воском тоже Borma. Дополнительно я изготовил антивибрационные подиумы с ножками IsoAcoustics Gaia II. Акустика проверена. Качество звучания я бы назвал выдающимся! Speaker frame repair. Repairing plastic framed grille covers can be a real challenge. Another one of our unique skills! A piece, about 30 mm long had broken off & was lost, making the repair somewhat more challenging. So cut a piece of plastic to size, glued it into place & built it up with hot melt glue to roughly the right shape. Then sliced & shaped it to match the surrounding original frame. For #TonebenderTuesday we have a Marshall Supa Fuzz Prototype clone built in a hammertone 1590J in the style of the Tonebender Mk1. The Marshall Supa Fuzz more commonly contained a circuit with the Tonebender Mk2 topology, but they were sometimes built with a topology similar to the Tonebender Mk1. These latter versions use a set resistor instead of the variable "Attack" control in the Tonebender Mk1, and they instead have a modified output section with a "Filter" control. Personally, I find the "Filter" control in the Supa Fuzz Prototype more useful than the "Attack" control in the Tonebender Mk1, but I like the unique build style of the Tonebender, so I decided to combine them - layout in the last photo. If using our pre-drilled Mk1 boards, this layout can be used if two drill holes are added. This build is done on hand-drilled vulcanized fiberboard with NOS caps, a mix of old and new carbon comps, and 3x Siemens AC162 transistors which we currently have in stock. Full-size Alpha pots, Cliff S4 jacks, a Carling battery disconnect and footswitch make up the electromechanical parts.
