We were so lucky on our 2019 trip to have these extended magic hours for resort guests. Hollywood studios was open from 6am 😱 that meant for us we were up at 4.30am on Hollywood Studios mornings. It does sound crazy that on holiday we got up at this time but we enjoyed the park with minimal crowds. By 9am we had basically done everything…. And rode rides multiple times. If staying at a Disney Resort between now and November 2nd, you can get into Hollywood Studios from 6-9am before they open to the rest of the public. . Let’s talk about Extra Extra Magic Hours for a minute... . On our most recent trip, we stayed in a Disney Springs hotel so we would be able to take advantage of these early hours. This was especially important with knowing that two of our afternoons and nights would be spent for the Epcot firework shows. . We took full advantage of these hours: . Sunday from 7am-8am at Magic Kingdom we rode 7 dwarfs, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Small World, and the Carousel. We finished right at 8 to head towards Frontier Land to hit the mountains. . Monday from 6am-9am at Hollywood, we were able to ride Slinky Dog x2, Toy Story Mania, Saucers, Smugglers Run, Star Tours, and wandered Galaxy’s Edge. I felt like HS was fairly crowded during this time, but we managed to accomplish all we wanted before heading to Epcot. . Tuesday from 7am-8am at Animal Kingdom, we were able to ride Flights of Passage x2, Navi River Journey, and get in line for the Safari before the line was terribly long. . We were able to hop from park to park and hit our Epcot rides throughout our trip, so we were constantly on the go. . My thoughts? . The biggest pro is that we were able to hit so many big ticket rides with little to no wait - riding a few of our favorites 2 times before the crowds picked up. I noticed that many times the wait times were even shorter than the posted times. . If you are not staying on property or are not interested the early mornings, your strategy for getting all of your favorites will look very different than the above. The wait times for many rides will get lower the closer you are to park closing, so it is definitely still possible to create a plan to hit the popular rides later in the evening. . It’s crazy how I’m only a morning person at Disney 😂 We were able to do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING we wanted before 11am! Including Millenium Falcon, Olgas Cantina, All of Toy Story Land including a meet and greet with Woody, Disney junior Dance party and the Frozen show. We definitely could have done more but we only did the rides that Lucca could go on. The Skyliner at sunrise is a must! The tranquility and stunning views are incredibly romantic, and a perfect relaxing start to a long day. We were fortunate enough to hear some birds chirping “Good Morning” too! The Skyliner is a fantastic means of transportation but it’s honestly a great experience even if it didn’t get you from A to B.
