We went inland with Talbot on the way home and stopped @gascoynejunctionpubtouristpark for the night - lived it up again with the ensuite site 🙌 and had dinner at the pub, which was delicious 🤤 The only downside were the flies - they were EVERYWHERE! I've never seen so many before. They were super annoying too. Even with our fly nets on 🪰🙄 Lachie didn't care though. Next stop, Exmouth ✨️ I took this photo of Talbot after waking up at 5am to walk down to the Exmouth Cenotaph for the ANZAC Day dawn service. It was such a beautiful service (a credit to the Shire of Exmouth) with a huge turnout, and amazing that the US Ambassador was there and spoke about her personal link to this beautiful part of the world ❤️ We stayed at the RAC Exmouth Cape Holiday Park, and got an ensuite site - pretty expensive but so worth it! But Instagram gave us such high hopes for this spot as it’s so heavily raved about but unfortunately we were left slightly disappointed, weather conditions didn’t help as the wind was high. This spot has the potential to be incredible and we can see why so many people have raved about it but it’s growing popularity has taken away from its beauty and you have to hope/ plan for good weather to enjoy its full potential. Pros - camps spot free - you’re guaranteed an ocean view - sunset delivered - accessible by 2WD if you’re brave, we saw camper vans. Being in the blue mountains has opened a sense of being fully immersed in nature. On hikes to waterfalls it’s not always the waterfall at the end that makes it beautiful and worth the hike, it’s the journey there. Taking in the smells, sounds and even touch as the track carves into the nature it’s surrounded by. It wasn’t until our 3rd hike that I took the time to stop and take in the scenery not just the destination waterfall and something about that was magical. We were able to test out our camper over new years before we head off in Feb & we're super happy with our off grid set up. Just need the little bits and pieces now and we will be ready to go! ☀️ Our plan is simple, we dont really have a plan 🤣 were heading west to try follow the sun as much as possible, we arent booking anything so we dont have to be anywhere at a certain time, we will do a mix of free camping, national parks, caravan parks & seeing where our adventure takes us- then back to celebrate christmas with our family! Day 1 of camping done and dusted and my gosssshhh haha it’s not been overly fun. Kids are a nightmare, crying, winging, screaming, fighting, being so rude and just uncontrollable. More so Kayson and Huxley. So it’s been super hard on Matt & I. But I’ve been reassured day 1 is always super hard for everyone who camps with kids. Also it being 40 they were so hot and bothered. Bored with us setting up ect. The wind was hectic nearly messed up our entire set up. All electrical accessories now controlled through the RedVision display and also through the RedVision mobile app, so you can be in bed and control all of your electrical devices! Manager30 providing battery charge via vehicle,240v or solar input! We also wired in tank sensors so the customer can monitor their water levels through the display and app!
