King is an advanced, western riding lesson horse and loves teaching us how to ride. He's pretty big, but only fierce with his paddock mate Champ. He's a pushover, kind of a scaredy cat really. Our riding instructor Dianna, describes King as a gentle giant, with a soft, kind heart, that's almost as big as he is. Not only is he one of the tallest horses we have, he also has the biggest mouth on the farm, so whatever you do don't feed him. Awesome Joe is 20 years young today!! Nancy Forsyth Awesome Joe is a Haflinger, a breed that has a golden chestnut coat, with a cream-colored mane. Joe loves to work as a therapy horse, and she some of the work that he does is pulling carriages so that our riders can develop knowledge, and discipline while experiencing the joy of connecting with a horse. New Farm Arrivals !! 😍 This crew of six pals is from a small Farm in old bridge, NJ. This is Patrick, the Miniature Albino Donkey, he is a sweet soul and a cuddle bug. Sunshine, the Nigerian Dwarf Goat, is a sweet fluff ball that enjoys treats. Tom & Jerry the male turkeys, and Ethel and Lucy our Lady Turkeys, all have a lot to say & talk about. All six are currently in quarantine and should integrate into the Farm in the near future ! Getting to know this duo for the past few months has been something special! 😊 Diego has become quite the cuddle bug when working in their paddock. He will lean into you and nudge you to pet him. While Aryia is still a bit shy, Deigo shows her the way as she slowly warms up to everyone. Diego, with the green halter in front, was born in Lakewood, NJ and is 12 years old. That is 36 years old in donkey years! He is very friendly and loves to investigate. Diego loves to meet new friends and enjoys apple slices, carrots and horse treats! In the corral is his cousin Aryia. (pronounced like Are-ee-a). Since Aryia's favorite color is blue, she wears a blue halter. Born on the same farm as Diego, Aryia is 9 years old. She tends to be pretty shy but feels most comfortable when people are eye level with her; so be sure to remember to bend down when you visit.
