Sedih sekali. Mulanya, mereka tiba-tiba kehilangan nafsu makan, penurunan berat badan secara drastis dan ada pula mengalami pembesaran di perut. Sekitar satu bulan terakhir, lima meong terlantar yang kami rawat, yaitu Manggoes, Goldie, Gala, Musri dan Ngomeng didiagnosa oleh dokter terserang FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Dan Gochi suspect FIP. Menurut saran dari dokter, pengobatan perlu dijalankan selama 80-90 hari tanpa henti. Upaya untuk kesembuhan mereka, sudah kami lakukan secara mandiri. Sejauh ini, meong-meong sudah menghabiskan 8 botol obat Basmi FIP. Setiap botolnya berisi obat injeksi 8 ml, dan diberikan (disuntikkan) ke meong 0.2 ml - 0.4 ml (tergantung berart badan) per harinya. Obat ini tergolong obat dosis tinggi, sehingga kami juga mengimbanginya dengan pakan hepatic serta vitamin Hepato. Keterbatasan dana, tidak adanya donatur tetap, serta pertambahan jumlah satwa terlantar yang harus kami rawat--beberapa diantaranya juga membutuhkan tindakan medis--, membuat kami harus mengajukan permohonan ini kepada kamu, sahabat. Pengobatan FIP Goldie sudah kami stop di hari ke 40, dan selang beberapa hari kondisinya membaik hingga hari ini. Manggoes juga akan stop pengobatan karena terpantau mulai membaik. Tomorrow is Day 30 of the FIP protocol. Today Big Boy spent over an hour exploring the room his soft kennel is in. He was able to jump up on the window seat and look out. He watched some golf and dug through the toy box. He jumped up on the counter and finished Bones’ lunch. He now weighs a little over 10 pounds, up almost 3 pounds from the day he was diagnosed with FIP. Legal FIP treatment is coming to the U.S! Starting in June 2024, veterinarians will be able to legally order compounded tablets of GS-441524, a drug proven to save cats diagnosed with FIP. This marks a significant breakthrough for both vets and cat guardians, who previously had to either accept the loss of their beloved cats or seek out the drug through nontraditional means. It’s incredible to witness such a pivotal moment in veterinary care! If your cat is diagnosed with FIP, you can discuss with your veterinarian the option of ordering these life-saving compounded tablets. Here are some tips on reducing the risk of FIP in foster homes: 1. **Avoid overcrowding**: Be mindful of your capacity for care. He's beauty, he's grace, he'll have a seizure in front of my face. Clifford is currently on treatment for neuro/occular FIP. While he's made ✨️AMAZING✨️ improvements, he still has a long way to go. Most days, he's moving and grooving and taking his injections like a champion. But, this morning, he decided the injection was painful enough to cause a seizure. It's scary, but it was quick, and he was back to normal after. 30.04.2024 Tag 14 COOPERS TAGEBUCH - Pssssst 🤫 , ich muss euch was erzählen … Nach dem gestrigen Drama im Auto , glaube ich hat Meowmy die Faxen dicke gehabt. Sie hat nämlich meine Ärztin angerufen und sie um Hilfe gebeten und da hab ich nur gehört das mein Kumpel Bailey dafür mit kommen muss… - Bailey (Bild 2 & 3) hat mir erzählt, er ist Meowmy zu meiner Ärztin gefahren und er hasst zwar nicht das Auto fahren aber so ganz geheuer ist ihm das auch nicht, er sagt da bekommt er immer extrem schwitze Pfoten 🐾. 😹 Als er mit Meowmy dann endlich da war , haben meine Ärztin und Meowmy darüber gesprochen wie man richtig spritzt , da ist mein Kumpel Bailey in die mich mach mich so klein wie ein Kitten Haltung gegangen… Meowmy wollte wissen wie man es mir abends so angenehm wie möglich machen kann . Sie haben meinem Kumpel 3x gepiekst mit Kochsalzlösung. 29.04.2024 Tag 13 COOPER‘S TAGEBUCH - ob ich heute mal so richtig richtig faul war , aber sowas von ! - nachdem ich knapp 1kg Bauchflüssigkeit verloren hab , ich fast wieder das Kilo zu genommen . 28.04.2024 Tag 12 COOPER‘S TAGEBUCH - ich sag euch , ich bin immernoch etwas entrüstet von gestern , das Meowmy mich ins Auto gepackt hat! - aber heute gibt ein bisschen was zu feiern 🥳, ich hab euch ja erzählt das icv Bauchflüssigkeit hatte und Meowmy sagte ich sah aus wie eine Trächtige Katze , aber ich bin ein Kerl . Als wir angefangen haben das Medikament zu nehmen hab ich 5kg gewogen und hatte einen Bauchumfang von 45cm , jetzt hab ich zwar ein bisschen Gewicht verloren aber mein Bauchumfang ist 10cm geschrumpft 🥳🥳🥳, also nur noch 35cm . Keine Sorge ich esse genug , es ist ein Zeichen das diese Flüssigkeit weg ist und da verliert man erst mal an Gewicht und dann legt man wieder an Gewicht zu. - heute hab ich mit allen gespielt auch mit meinen Kindern, ich bin richtig gerannt. Meowmy konnte es fast nicht glauben mich so zu sehen . - gegen Abend hat Meowmy mich für unsere Spritztour vorbereitet (Bild 2) , so nennt sie das jetzt wohl … - 23:20 Uhr jetzt Hocke ich hier wieder im Auto und singe Meowmy unsere Stammes-Klagenlieder ins Ohr, sie lacht 🤭, ich weiß ja nicht ob ich das so lustig finde hier in ihrer Karre zu hocken … Außerdem sieht Begeisterung anders aus (Bild 3)… Da sticht die mich doch tatsächlich wieder hier im Auto , ich hoffe das machen wir nicht jeden Abend . 27.04.2024 Tag 11 COOPER‘S TAGEBUCH - heute war der mit allen allen Felligen Mitbewohnern (Bailey, Baby, Alaska, Amiro , Teddy & Cooperline) super entspannt, das haben alle im Haus gespürt auch Meowmy & Gran-Meowmy. 😽 - die meiste Zeit haben wir einfach den Raum verschönert und waren kuschelig . - nach gestern musste ich mich natürlich bei Meowmy so richtig ins Zeug legen und mal ein bisschen meinen Charme spielen lassen das hat auch ganz funktioniert….😼 - heute Abend ist irgendwas anders, Meowmy zieht mir mein Geschirr an , das macht sie eigentlich nur wenn wir das Haus verlassen… Halt Moment, wir verlassen das Haus ?! 🙀 aber es ist dunkel draußen, wo sollen wir denn hin … Das macht mich ein bisschen ängstlich 🙀. Ich hab mal mitbekommen das sie mit ihren Admins vom Verein, nachgefragt hat ob sie vorziehen kann und diese sagten , sie dürfte während der gesamten Zeit max. 3-4x je 30 min vorziehen , ich glaube das hat sie heute vor …. - Ohja sie zieht die Zeit vor oh was hat sie da in der Hand (Bild ) sniff-sniff ist das, das Zeug ?! 🌺 Destiny lead her to us. A stranger kitty sneaking to our yard in the dark at the night looking for food, quickly disappeared and came back silently the next evening for a couple of weeks. She was skinny, messy furr, scratches and wounds on her skin, runny nose, but she looked cheerful, her eyes were beautiful with a lovely gaze. She purred when I fed her and touched her head lightly. I wondered where she came from? was she stray? was she abandoned pet? poor kitty I named her : Happy ! Name is a wish, and I really wish it for her. One day, we found her bleeding, suspected from internal disease. On the third day, she was dare to show up during the day, not in the night as she used to do. The gleam in her eyes faded. It was the time we realized she was not just craving for food but seeking for help. When we took her to the clinic , it became apparent that she was afflicted with multiple diseases. The bleeding was caused by pyometra and need to be operated but her condition was not good regarding to malnutrition, impaired immunity and serious infections. My heart was broken to see her struggling to hold her pain with short breath for days at her lowest point. But amidst her suffering, she showed her gratitude every time I visited her. She never gave up, and we made it, she is a survivor !! Miracle happens to those who believe, it’s such a blessing to be survive after all that she had been through. 🎓🖤 Winnie has graduated to observation! 🖤🎓 Another fantastic job by the team at @furandfeathersanimalsanctuary "🎖️🎖️WE DID IT 🎖️🎖️ After 84 days of treatment for dry FIP that went to neurological FIP 5 days in, Winnie Poo went for her bloods today and my next message off our fab vet Sarah….. “Winnie is fixed ❤️” Elaborated to - her bloods are now normal again, her weight has gone from 2.2kg to 4.3kg in 12 weeks, she is active, fat and most importantly FIXED as Sarah says (it’s a standing joke) 🎉 Tomorrow we enter the 84 days observation period and we will re-run her bloods in 6 weeks, then 12 weeks to make sure everything stays good!! It’s gone so fast but it hasn’t been without its ups and downs!
