Fistral beach around 5pm this evening. I went for a dog walk and was struck by the contrast of the blue of the sky behind the brewing storm clouds , against the golden yellow of the low sun on the horizon. This was made all the more spectacular by the reflection in the wet sand. As I walked up the sand dune to leave the beach, I looked behind me and the light was gone! This dinosaur decided to join us for brunch this weekend on a little girls trip to Cornwall. Herring gulls (Larus argentatus) have pink legs and webbed feet.
