About this weekend Our first @the_righteous_mum Womens SUP Surf Camps of the year! We had ALL the weathers and ALL the positive vibes. Day 1 surf in the rain, a sauna @olla.hiki.sauna.cornwall swapping stories and inspiration chucking cold water at each other and hanging out in the rain, a family dinner at the harbour and we were into day 2. A calming stretch whilst soaking in some vitamin D with @elaine_dancingyogi at the beautiful back drop that is @lustyglazebeach we then refuelled and chatted forecasts @blend.lusty before hitting the waves again. Cheering each other’s wins and watching everyone skills and confidence increase. We still have some space for our next camp in one months time. Two races in two weeks, two completely different conditions. The photo to the right was the MAPA 6 miler. The conditions were cold, rainy and windy(like 18mph pushing 25). To the left was Carolina Cup. Sunny, warm and a little windy with boat traffic. Now when asked as an amateur SUP racer how do you train for all the different conditions. My response is I really try to put myself and train in all conditions. I want to feel confident and comfortable in when the weather isn’t the best. I will go out on a windy day where the water might be waves with white caps and see how long it take me to do a certain distance pushing through that.
