We also enjoyed an evening at @equitybrewingco - a local spot, in Norman, that took me by surprise. I didn’t know little breweries like this existed out here in Oklahoma (for context, I’m from Virginia Beach). 🍻 The little tasty flights were adorable. @cabooseokc is tightly nestled into the northeast corner of the main area of @shop.bookish. A small bookstore with Used Books and Art. As Ben finished making my Americano I browsed to see what was available. So many great books that I had either already read, or that were on my list to read. This place is an Oasis set within the urban core of downtown Oklahoma City. It is a calm old building with so many things to see. Art, poetry, and books fill the walls with color and music fills the room. Extra points for playing a playlist with the likes of Bill Callahan and Kurt Vile.

📍frida southwest if you haven’t made it to Frida yet, you are seriously missing out on a flavor explosion! Their dishes are unique and creative with so many textures and flavors that you’d never think to pair together. They take southwestern cuisine up a notch. The dishes maintain their origins but in a modern, refined way. The space is also beautiful. Open and bright that feels warm and comforting. I loved this spot from the first step in the door. What We Ordered: •Queso Fundi 10/10 - oh my was this delicious. warm and cheesy but not too heavy. do not skip this! •Wild Isle Salmon 🐟 10/10 - this was hands down the best salmon i’ve probably ever eaten. it was cooked to perfection and the chimichurri added such a great freshness with the lobster-corn risotto. •Chilean Seabass 🐠 9/10 - the lobster beurre blanc was divine. COLD FRONT 🥶🥶 the cold weather is stopping by and nothing warms you up from the inside out like ramen! It’s a big hug in the form of a bowl 🍜 Tamashii Ramen has made a name for itself in OKC and serves up some seriously incredible dishes that you don’t want to miss out on. Their broth is so silky and rich and packs a ton of flavor in every bite. This is my go to spot when I want something comforting 🤩 Pictured Here: •Chicken Kaarage 🍗 6/10 - honestly not the best i’ve had. it wasn’t super crispy and had a floury taste to it. The chicken was tender tho •Gyoza 🥟 9/10 - these were so juicy and had a nice crunchy bottom with a soft inside. •Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen 🍜 10/10 - had a rich garlic flavor (if you love garlic get this one! 🧄) and their seasoned eggs were divine •Spicy Miso Ramen 🌶️ 9/10 - they don’t play around with the spice here so tread lightly! •Miso Butter Corn Ramen 🧈 8/10 - while it was delicious and the corn was sweet and buttery, the miso flavor wasn’t as strong as I envisioned you’ll find me here on every cold day in OKC! ~just roll with it~ Sushi Moto is now open for all your sushi cravings and an incredible Happy Hour menu that will fill you up without breaking the bank 🍣 Their Happy Hour Menu is available from Monday to Thursday from 3-5pm and they have the most amazing specials around. Their rolls are fun and fresh and feature both classics and unique creations 🤩 Pictured Here: •Salmon Deluxe 9/10 - so flavorful and the salmon was really fresh •California Roll 6/10 - too much rice in my opinion and was just okay •Salmon Roll x 2 7/10 - for a maki roll it had too much rice, but the salmon was fresh •Avocado Roll 10/10 - a classic and the rice ratio was perfect •Crabby Patty 8/10 - not too oily for a fried roll and the flavors worked well together •Spicy Cajun 8/10 - loved the crawfish mix, but felt there was too much rice in this one as well If you need a new spot to try, check them out.
