The Penny Royal at night is a bit magical 🤩 Alida restaurant's food is also a bit magical 😋 All the dishes we had were divine with the perfect harmony of ingredients. We had Fresh Tasmanian Oysters with Yuzu Vinaigrette, hands down the best oysters I have had. Fried potato gnocchi w/ oyster mushrooms, buerre blanc spinach, pumpkin & peas, Parmesan & truffle oil. The gnocchi was pillowy soft, chefs kiss 😘 Lastly the Grilled eye fillet w/ B&T mushroom, burnt onion crème & beef jus, meaty and perfectly cooked 🥰
If you love cheese you will love the @ashgrovecheese tasting experience 🧀🍷 Even comes with eco milk 😜 But in all seriousness the milk was some of the best I had and it took my appreciation of cheese to a new level with some mindful eating tasting notes ☺️
🍔 HONEST, WINDSOR After embarking on Windsors widely recognised ‘Long walk’ we agreed upon this *unbeknownst to us chain* restaurant. Burger restaurant to be precise. For £15.20, I was presented with the ‘Windsor’ burger. As detailed in the third image. Although the burger was undeniably yummy, I personally found it challenging to distinguish between the *very distinct* flavour profiles promised on the menu. Furthermore, despite the lack of customers (as expected considering we chose to dine mid afternoon) the staff seemed oddly preoccupied. By what I’m unsure. However, I must include that the limited interaction we did have with them was polite & pleasant. It is a shame to admit the ever creeping, slow but very apparent, increase in the cost of dining out. It is also a shame to admit that I personally did not feel like my experience was a reflection of the bill & vice versa.
