Still kicking CKD in the butt 💪 Boba’s resilience still shines through, even on the gloomiest of days 🌧️ She is an avid tunnel explorer and enjoys the occasional run in the park (aka nighttime zoomies.) Boba is currently on an appetite stimulant* for weight management and to increase food intake levels. Besides that, she continues to take her phosphorus binder in her food. SQ fluids are typically recommended for kidney disease, but we are unable to administer them as she is not comfortable enough to let us hold her for that long. Plus, she drinks more than enough water every day, so we are not concerned about dehydration 💧 *Sometimes cats with kidney disease struggle with having an appetite, but there are options out there to help with this! Last year at this time, Bilbo was an outdoor cat who had been feral. It makes my heart happy that he is now an indoor cat, getting lots of cuddles. The most amazing thing happened last night! Miss Callie girl allowed pets and LOVED it! 🥺🥰😭 (volume up for purring) Rescues are truly remarkable! This is the result of working with her every day for 50 days. She has done SO much better than anyone would've expected and in a short time frame. She lived outside, feral and in survival mode for 8.5 years but in only 7 weeks, her wall has slowly started to come down.
