Wildlife Wednesday is here and we have baby squirrels again, our mallard and wood duck orphans are getting big and strong, pigeons as always can find respite at our center, and baby birds are still coming in, some in need of medical attention and some just needing surrogate parents until they are big enough to be on our own. My little cypress darling is thriving in this hot and humid weather! One is maybe a foot tall and the other roughly 6". Everyday I walk past them checking to make sure they continue to look healthy and happy. So far my plan is to allow them to grow freely for an entire year before replanting and shaping. I may only have 2 cypress babes this year but my cypress forest is only just beginning! My only wish I'd that I could share this journey with you.
