5月25日、五十嵐キャンパス第一食堂前の広場にカルガモの親子の姿が🦆 学生さんたちが「かわいい」とメロメロになりながらも心配そうに見守る中、職員による救出大作戦が行われていました。 ヒナは外に出たそうにしていましたが、親ガモは板の上にどっしり座り、まだ外に出る気はない様子でした😂 親ガモの上に乗ったりピッタリくっついたりしているヒナがとっても愛らしいです💗 次の日には姿を消していて、ちょっと寂しくなりました。 --- On May 25th, a family of spot-billed ducks showed up in a square in front of Cafeteria No.1 on Ikarashi Campus! The sweet family melted the heart of the students watching over anxiously how a duck rescue mission would be taken place by the university staff. Ducklings looked like they wanted to go outside, while the parent duck sitting sturdily on the board and not ready to go outside just yet. The ducklings were so adorable, riding on top of or snugly attached to the parent duck. Missing this ray of light. Feeling very grateful to be able to be fully present with parenting this kid. To see his continual joy makes me know that we are doing something right. I grew up feeling so unsafe as a child in an adult world. Never having fully stable adults around me and having to find my way in a reality that was not child friendly. So many of us have grown up that way and work so hard as adults to unencumber ourselves of all that comes with that lack of care. I am grateful to be a conscious parent with a partner who values that same way of parenting.
