Registration is still open for teams and individuals.โ โ The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraising walk benefitting local health and human service agencies. The goal of the walk is to help participating organizations raise money for their individual missions, giving Sixth Street Shelter an opportunity to raise funds through a community-wide event.โ โ Follow the link in our bio to register and donate on behalf of The Shelter. To qualify for the 2023 @Highmark Walk T-shirt, you must be a registered walker and have a minimum of $30 credited to your walker account by your respective walk date. (All T-shirts will be given out on-site.)โ โ At 7:45 am, onsite last-minute registration opens. Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 am and the walks begin at 9:00am, ending around 11:00am. We set a high goal this year--it was a reach at more than twice what we raised from the walk last year--and we are currently at 91% of goal. We won't know the final total for a bit, since the walk's donation system stays open through June. We are especially grateful for the churches that stood with us for this walk.
