Home is not the building, home is the feeling of being where you belong There are so many amazing parts about sailing the world with your floating home. Yes, we miss our “home” and family and friends so so so much. However this chapter of our journey has called us to be here on the blue. The ocean is our home. The people we meet along the way, make us feel like we are home. We don’t know how long this journey will last, there is no real plan, so we are just embracing each moment that it is. Stepping fully and deeper into being present with where she takes us. 🌏 💧 🌊 ⛵️ The last 14months I have received lots of beautiful messages from all different people about how our journey has inspired them to move onto a sailing vessel and travel the world. However they are afraid of leaving “home”. I honestly can say, it is hard and there are times where I cry and miss my friends and family so much. Flying home & making regular trips back home helps. However the experience you will have and the people you will meet is quite incredible. And if your heart is calling you to something, it’s worth following that desire and inspiration. Nothing is fixed or permanent, maybe it will be just for a chapter or two, maybe the journey will write a whole book. We never really are to know where our heart will lead us. My advice is just trust the process and live with no regrets. Better to say I have that a go, than I stayed and never explored, “I wonder what it would have been like”.
