✨One of my biggest break throughs on my journey!! we create our own reality. our brains are programmed to seek out evidence that confirms our beliefs about ourselves and our abilities. Ever been on a spiral because the morning has just not gone your way and all of a sudden your jacket gets caught on the door on the way out and you think REALLY!!!! (ok ill admit i have used many other phrases in these moments) followed by a thought like "omg today has been ridiculous" or ever been having a 'week' and the more you focus on it the worse it seems to get and all of a sudden its all you can see, feel and think about?? Now while having a day every now and then is absolutely ok and i mean its just life, operating in this state constantly creates negative reinforcement loops (your mind thinks shitty thoughts- and your brain looks for evidence of these beliefs) making it tricky to see the good. solid foundations-healthy beliefs create positive reinforcement, we are looking for the good! and when we operate from this state all of life's things seem less intense and we are open to new opportunities and our stress levels decrease. what foundations are you building your reality from?? #empoweringmums #healthybeliefs #lifebydesign

WEDNESDAY WISDOM if you look at the positives and not the negatives, you'll start to look at your life in a very different way. I know that we have all had stuff go down in our lives, but if we hang onto it and we keep hanging onto the stuff, it takes us down with it. If we look at all the stuff we've been through as a gift and what have we learnt with all that stuff going on. Look at the gift , find the gift and hang onto the gift as a lesson and something special that you have learnt. for example I have been married and yes I could be better but it's really not worth it. The fact that my marriage ended. I am so grateful that I have four beautiful children and they are my gift and they keep on giving every day. A reason for me to live, and to be who I am and strive to be the best person I am as a role model for them. Life is too short to hang onto the crap. We need to embrace every moment and never look back on the past. Keep looking forward and looking up for there lies the answer. If you have something that you want to achieve you need to look for the future not behind you. Go for Gold and go get it and keep your eye on the cherry. Growing up I was very on-again, off-again about having kids… ~ As a little girl I don’t remember wanting to like other girls did, but also it just being a thing you do ~ As a young adult I remember saying to a friends Mum - “I don’t want to have kids”, and her saying back - “Don’t say that” ~ When my sister had kids, I felt like I wanted them again ~ And then as I got to 30 and beyond, I knew they weren’t for me - and we decided they weren’t for us And having kids isn’t the only part of the life society wants for us, that I don’t want to live! Viewing life through the lens of creativity means reframing failure into a learning opportunity 👓 I remember what one of my college professors said in MARKET1 class: Fail well. There's such a thing as failing well??? How ingenious! A dark corner of my brain became permanently lit because of this concept. That was my experience in her class, too. She wasn't the type who would quiz us on theory. It was always open book, open notes, and answering one tricky question in essay form. I carried her words through job changes, uncertainties that came with freelance life, and biz ventures that didn't work out. All those things come together in my latest iteration as a coach. Hoooold on now. Don’t throw in the towel just yet! You wanted to succeed. You tried. Two steps forward, three steps back. Made progress and then gained the weight or spent the money or fell off track or whatever got in the way. It’s not your fault! It’s just your subconscious trying to protect you. Hear me out. When you want something or to do something and make a conscious decision to achieve it, but also have a deeper fear of what comes with it, the subconscious wins. When you have doubts about deserving it, the subconscious wins. Your subconscious doesn’t know right, wrong, good, or bad, it’s just trying to protect you from what it doesn’t know. It just applies the protection in ways that get in the way, and it’s designed to override your conscious choice. Instead of beating yourself up over it, we can thank the subconscious for working so hard and reprogram the protection. We can apply the correct protection instead of sabotaging. As a trained hypnotherapist and coach I’ve seen clients reprogram their fears into courage, their doubts into confidence, their unworthiness into unstoppableness! I believe in you and you can too. I always had big dreams. A few years ago, I had these visions for myself and my family, I had all the details, how I would spend time with my boys, where we would live, I pictured myself happy, cheerful, full of energy, active, creative, full of life, I saw myself doing something meaningful and travelling the world. But my life at the time was billion years away, and also me as a person was billion years from that picture I had in my mind. So I tossed the dreams in the trash bin everytime they showed up! Because it just didn't make sense. I had no idea how to achieve it, the gap was too big. But they kept boomeranging back 😄✨🙌 Then I started learning about how my energy, mindset, inner programs work and how it affects, creates everything in my life. When I started applying the right steps into my life, through a training program, boosting up my energy, building up a supportive mindset, changing the inner programs, paradigms, learning what it means to build and design your own life and actually being able to do it - this is where, instead of the dream, I threw away the bin. 🙌💝💃 So quickly it happens that we forget about our dreams, we leave them aside, because we don't have time, we don't feel capable, confident, strong, courageous enough, we don't know this and that and we struggle to make our way forward. GUIDED VISUALIZATION Have you ever done this type of exercise? We did it last week at our BOLD conference and it was so powerful. The lights were dimmed and the room was silent. Everyone closed their eyes and took deep breaths. Similar to a meditation. The leader of our session brought us on a quiet journey in our minds... where we met and spoke with our future selves. It was intriguing, as we reflected on our lives... where we are now and where we want to go before the end. After the activity was complete, many of us were feeling emotional. Personally, I was very moved. We then had to write a letter to our current selves about what we need to do at this moment to get us on the right path to fulfilling our dreams. It was a very deep dive into vulnerability. And although it is private, I want to share my written thoughts from that day, and tell you what my older self said to present day me... "This is a new time in your life. It is a time to be strong and use your voice. Change your name, stand alone and be brave. You will go on to develop powerful relationships, take care of families and independently fulfill your WHY. You will travel with your children, your family and your partner. You will live a prosperous life. NOW is YOUR time. You have taken care of everyone else, now you have to take care of you... And all the people you choose to share your life with along the way. You need to teach people how to treat you. Enjoy every single day. Spread the sunshine in your soul. Be happy. Be YOU." I hope this gives perspective to each of you. I also hope you will ponder your own goals and where you want to be in five years? Ten years? Twenty years? It is never too late to choose the road not taken. Find YOUR way.
