On my final night in Italy, I stayed at the Hilton Rome Airport Hotel. This hotel is located just a 10-minute walk from the terminals in FCO, making it the most convenient option for my overnight layover in Rome. The hotel is quite large and offers amenities such as a restaurant, gym, pool, and business center. However, the hotel itself is a bit dated and basic. The rooms show some signs of age but include all the essential amenities. If you are a Hilton Silver member or above, you can enjoy free water bottles in the room. Otherwise, there are two vending machines in the lobby where you can purchase snacks and drinks. The in-house restaurant is noteworthy, and I had both dinner and breakfast buffet there before my morning flight. The prices were reasonable, and I appreciated the wide selection of breakfast items. Overall, the Hilton Rome Airport Hotel is a good hotel with a great restaurant. The Hyatt Centric Milano Centrale is one of my favorite Hyatt hotels in Italy. Its proximity to Milan's Central train station makes it very convenient to travel to top attractions and destinations via bus, tram, or subway. It features 142 guest rooms, a rooftop bar, and a fantastic spa on the lower level. As an Explorist member, I was fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to a corner King room with a spacious room and bathroom. There is ample space to store your belongings, and the room comes with daily coffee, tea, and water bottles. The bathroom has all your essential amenities, including a dual sink, a bidet, warm towel racks, and a rainfall shower. The spa is the highlight of the hotel. Though there is a €30 entry fee, it is so worth it! After making a reservation, housekeeping will send a welcome basket with toiletries, sandals, and a robe. The spa has three sauna rooms: dry, steam, and salt rooms. The main pool and jacuzzi are large, allowing you to swim underneath the stars. Overall, Milan was my favorite stop in Italy. It was a perfect mixture of old and modern Milan, and my stay at the Centric helped me relax as it was my last stop. I highly recommend this hotel due to its cleanliness, courteous staff, fantastic rooftop bar, spa, and many excellent restaurants nearby. The last day of what has been a fabulous holiday @rixos_premium_belek This is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed in and if you are looking for a holiday in Turkey, I can absolutely recommend this hotel. Firstly the hotel and grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept. You are allocated a whatsapp assistant on arrival and they are on hand day and night to help you with whatever you might need. The food and drinks offering is also incredible. There is a huge buffet restaurant, a food court, 4 a la carte restaurants where the food and cocktails are just stunning and a 24 hour table service restaurant. There is so much children to do but plenty of adults only spaces which I love now that the ravenous teen doesn't need to come with us. This included a beautiful swim up bar and private pool area. The spa facilities are also wonderful. We were gifted a VIP beach cabana experience too which really made our holiday. There is also unlimited free access and transport to the Land of Legends theme and water park which was a fantastic day out. All in all it has been a perfect 10 days, now back to see what havoc the ravenous teen has managed to create with a 10 day empty! Like I said in an earlier post..Hilton’s can be hit & miss since the pandemic. This @embassysuitesseattle was a miss. This Embassy suite is in South Seattle not far from the airport, not to be confused with the incredible Embassy Suites in downtown Seattle. The hotel is outdated but it’s much more than that. Our room was filthy dirty. Our bar sink drain was coated with who knows what, the vent in the bedroom was dusty and above it on the ceiling was dusty and had cobwebs. The nightstand in between the two beds was filthy dirty on top and had chips out of the wood around the base, leaving this a hazard for a splinter in your foot. We went to the reception where they were serving drinks & snacks. We had to stand in line at the bar to get our drinks, even though we just wanted a soda and they have a self-serving soda machine in the corner. We waited at least 15 minutes to get our soda and pick what snack we wanted. The next morning we went down and had our breakfast. Although the food was good they were backed up at the hot order counter. You can easily reach the hotel with a short 20-minute water bus ride from the main island of Venice and the charming Burano. I highly recommend pre-booking your ACTV Venezia Unica multi-day pass in advance to receive a discount. This pass allows you to enjoy unlimited water bus rides throughout the system, and it is a great deal if you arrive via train. If you arrive via the airport, you can also pre-book the free airport transportation with the staff at the hotel. The hotel is built within a glass-making factory. Its modern and chic design adds to the experience. The long hallways and high ceilings leading up to the rooms allow you to appreciate the property's history. I was fortunate to be given a corner room on the 2nd floor because of my Explorist status with Hyatt. The rooms are much larger than they appear because of the high ceilings, and the comfortable king-size bed and large windows bring in plenty of natural light. The bathroom is also spacious and includes a large bathtub, a bidet, and a wall-mounted towel warmer that changed my life. The hotel offers a cozy gym, bar, room service, and restaurant. During my stay, the heavy rain prevented me from venturing out to Venice for a proper meal. However, the restaurant and room service provided some of the best meals during my travels. The entire staff was courteous and offered spectacular service throughout my stay. There is a local grocery store, plenty of glass shops, a museum, and a beautiful church around the corner. Overall, the Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is a fantastic hotel with its beautiful interior and food. Recently, I had the amazing chance to stay at the IL Tournabuoni Hotel, a part of Hyatt's Unbound Collection. This cozy hotel sits right in the heart of Florence and offers top-notch luxury. With rooms starting at 25,000 Hyatt points per night, it's a fantastic deal for a Hyatt property! The IL Tornabuoni Hotel is nestled inside one of Florence's oldest palaces, dating back to the 13th century. The hotel's interior is beautifully decorated and well-maintained, and I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the Standard King bed. I enjoyed the nightly turndown service, and my water and coffee were replenished daily. The bathroom boasted luxurious amenities, and the dual shower setup was delightful. The staff was attentive and provided exceptional service during my entire stay. The highlight of my experience was the hotel's prime location. It's conveniently located within walking distance of everything in Florence. The Florence Santa Maria train station is just a 15-minute stroll away, while the Ponte Vecchio bridge and the Uffizi Gallery are both a mere five-minute walk. In addition, fabulous restaurants, gelato shops, and street musicians surround the area. If you can snag a booking, I recommend the IL Tornabuoni Hotel. Pixar Place Hotel 🎈 Was it a splurge? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely! 1. Early entry - Disneyland Resort guests are allowed into the parks 30min before it opens to the public, and because of this we were able to finish most of the rides on our list before 10am! 2. Easy access - no shuttles needed, just an 8min walk. This allowed us to head back to our hotel for Jordan’s nap and come back to the parks ready to power through the rest of the day 💪🏻 3. Exclusive Entrance into DCA - also with its exclusive security! 4. Park Views - we were able to watch The World of Color right from our bed with its corresponding music played on the hotel TV 🌈 5. Hotel Events - from rooftop games, movie nights, fireworks viewing, Pixar shorts playing in the hotel lobby TV, to meet-and-greet with Bingo, there was so much going on every day that we wish we had more time! The Best Western Plus Universo by Roma Termini is one of Rome’s hotels that offers comfortable accommodations at affordable prices! It is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the main train station, with easy access to Line A and B metro lines, buses, and trams that connect to other parts of the city. Most main attractions are also within a 20-30 minute walk from the hotel. I received a considerable discount on my booking compared to other hotels in the area, including a daily breakfast, by booking directly. The breakfast was diverse, with various hot and cold items, fresh coffee, and orange juice. It can get busy after 8 a.m., but there’s plenty of seating available. Checking in was easy, but have your passport and credit card ready for scanning. The rooms are cozy and basic, equipped with a kettle, coffee maker, and fridge. The king-sized bed was super comfortable and felt like memory foam, ensuring a good night’s rest. The bathroom was spacious, with an Italian-style bidet, a large bathtub, and basic amenities. The best part of the room was the always-available A/C, which came in handy even during my late-March visit. Overall, my stay at the Best Western Plus Universo was pleasant. It had helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms, a fantastic breakfast, and three working elevators! If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay in Rome, I highly recommend this hotel! A quick sojourn up the Great Western Highway to the world renowned Blue Mountains to check in for a couple days at the historic Hydro Majestic. This sprawling heritage listed building is steeped in history and was the brainchild of one of Australia’s first hospitality entrepreneurs Mark Foys. Originally the establishment was to be a health retreat and later became a sleazy getaway for Sydney’s well to do clientele who slipped up the mountains to imbibe in the devils poison of sly grog and nose candy during the prohibition era. Many famous people stayed here with Dame Nellie Melba performing here and Australia’s first Prime Minister Sir Edmond Barton actually carking it in one of the rooms from a chest grabber. Anyhoooo. What am I here for ? I am famous and also bravely stood in the face of the demon bushfire that threatened this place, single handedly saving it from being reduced to charcoal. But The bathrobe. There was none in the room. Probably because the rooms are the size of a cupboard. No bathrobe to save space, methinks ? A quick call to reception to request a robe was soon met by the housekeeping chap who was a cross between Lurch and Uncle Fester. I was pleasantly surprised to find the robe which was shabbily folded on presentation was however, #of a high standard. Plush thick toweling material with three quarter sleeves and front pockets. 📍 Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego - Hotel review If you are looking for a family friendly hotel in San Diego, with an abundance of facilities to keep you and your family happy - the Grand Hyatt is the perfect solution! I have to say I fell in love with this hotel from the start….every member of staff were wonderfully informative with all our questions (have you been to Disney in a rain storm being one 🤣), nothing was too much bother, and I was so sad to say goodbye! What I loved! ✨ Room views were WOW - we received a complimentary upgrade to a corner room and not only did it have so much space , but the views were genuinely unforgettable day and night! ✨ The Pool. Open from 6am - 10pm, heated and with the addition of a jacuzzi pool and fire pit (at night) beside it, it was a central feature to the hotel! Towels were provided by a vending machine (using your room key) so all very easy. With the position of the pool sunrise could be watched from the jacuzzi - heaven! The gym was on the same floor and was litter out very well! ✨ Rooftop cinema - unfortunately we didn’t get to use this, but it looked very cool (check out the video on my post) ✨ Basketball court and Tennis courts. We had some spare time before our train to Anaheim so took the chance to try out the courts…. This was a big fav of Zanders, and the rackets they had were perfect for kids. ✨ Food! Guests got $10 credit to redeem at The Top of the Hyatt bar every day, which we utilised for pre dinner drinks (kids allowed in from 3-6pm). On night 1 we are in the lobby restaurant, which was awesome and again service was 🙌🏽! There is a cafe selling your morning Starbucks which you can order in advance, snacks, breakfasts , lunch options as well s’mores kits for the fire pit!
