Welche Sorten mögt ihr am liebsten? 😃 Ich habe diesen Becher bei Rewe mitgenommen für 5,49€. Das Besondere ist, dass es sich um reines Milcheis handelt ohne Sahne. Außerdem ist kein Kokos oder Palmfett enthalten. Es sind wirklich gute Zutaten. 🥰 Und es wird ohne Luft aufgeschlagen. Deswegen empfehle ich 15 Minuten antauen lassen. Das Milcheis macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Es schmeckt Voll(nach)Milch. 😉 Die Süße ist gerade noch angenehm. Mehr dürfte es für mich nicht sein. Einen Hauch Vanille schmeckt man ebenfalls. Die Konsistenz ist super dicht, geschmeidig und extra zart. Man sieht in den Fotos schon wie glatt es ist. Ohne diese Luft schmilzt es ganz langsam im Mund. 😍 Einfach köstlich! Von den Schoko Splittern gibt es reichlich viele im ganzen Eis verteilt. Sie sind unterschiedlich groß, aber gleichmäßig dick. Es ist eine gute, knackige Zartbitter Schokolade. ☺ Man hat dadurch ständig etwas zum knuspern und kauen. Genau so muss ein Stracciatella Eis für mich sein in Geschmack und Konsistenz. Jude’s @judesicecream Belgium Chocolate Minis. Described as “Vanilla Ice Cream With Sugar & Sweeteners Coated with Belgium Milk Chocolate, Belgium Milk Chocolate and Almonds, Belgium White Chocolate”, these came as a set of 6. Purchased from @supervaluni @supervalu_irl, three flavours per set, two of each were inside a box. First was the milk chocolate. These were simple and smooth both inside and out. High in quality the chocolate had a pleasant cocoa flavour with a crisp outline. Using the same chocolate, the almond sticks were identical, only this time they included little chopped nuts textured outside. Last but not least was the white chocolate sticks. Being a white chocolate fan these were my favourite and the quality of this shell was delicious and sweet. Having the same inner base, a simple vanilla has been used. Pale in colour this was a Light and mild, soft and easy to eat centre. Health wise these range from only 89-98 calories a piece however per 100g 317-327 calories so not very much different than any chocolate coated stick and it’s more that these are small portioned sticks. For some more fun I’ve added some @reesesuk @reeses pieces. Overall l these were nice but Would have liked a denser more flavoursome base. They were still enjoyable and a handy size for a little treat. I will say this flavor was very sweet and I couldn’t honestly imagine myself commiting to a whole pint of it. I made a fantastic pairing decision by pairing it with the dairy free Texas Sheet Cake, which was unexpectedly incredible! This flavor was essentially a dairy free version of the Blackout Cake flavor but I honestly liked it even more because the cocoa flavor was RICH. It was not very sweet at all but not bitter either and the cake pieces added extra decadence to this flavor! I saw a few brands I wanted to try but a worker at Hy-Vee recommended this local brand so we got Cupcake and Very Berry. 🥄 Wow, this stuff is not good! It is not ice cream its ice milk! The Cupcake is absolutely flavorless. No cake, no vanilla, hardly sweet. Ugh. The Very Berry? Grade: B It happened again. Another pint of Enlightened froyo was thawed and refrozen. I doubt this is Enlightened's fault but it is frustrating nonetheless. So, my review is based on the center-middle of the pint alone. And that was good stuff. 🥄 The uncompromised part of the base was creamy with a nice texture. I am surprised this is a light "ice cream." The coffee flavor was pronounced, which I like. I don't want there to be any doubts about my coffee ice cream being COFFEE. The toffee chips had a good crunch and while there was plenty, I wanted more. 🥄 I don't know if will keep buying Enlightened since this has happened just too many times. @riceculturex honey lavender and earl grey tiramisu swirl soft serve Score: 7/10 🌟 📍🍦 Rice Culture . . . I saw the new April flavors and had to make a visit to rice culture. Earl grey and lavender are always a solid combination so I was excited to see these two flavors swirled. The soft serve had a distinctly buttery texture today. The honey lavender flavor was one the milder side but did deliver on both the honey and lavender flavors quite well and if you were to get the flavor non-swirled I can imagine the honey and lavender shining even more. The earl grey tiramisu flavor was stronger in earl grey flavor than most earl grey flavored desserts I’ve had. It was not bad though a bit strong for someone who doesn’t drink earl grey tea. What I didn’t get from this was tiramisu though. Earl grey tiramisu dessert usually entails replacing the coffee with earl grey tea but the mascapone flavor is still prevelant and integral to the dessert. I personally didn’t taste anything besides earl grey and a bit of the same earthiness that the rose cardamom flavor from last month had. Honestly any bites with both flavors the earl grey was completely dominating the palate. Individually I’ll give Honey Lavender a 8.75/10 and the Earl Grey Tiramisu a 6.5/10. This time I got the Kiddie size which is a nice offering to have and personally was as much of this I had capacity to consume, anyways. In terms of value I would recommend people to get the standard size, however. I also sampled the cookies and cream which is also a seasonal flavor and it definitely tasted like cookies and cream though I would say the taste reminded of Oreo O’s cereal more than Oreos themselves. My initial rating would be a 7/10 for it. This ice cream has absolutely perfect texture - super smooth and creamy. 😍 I instantly felt that this is a low sugar ice cream and at first I thought that it is a bit bland but the more I ate the more I started to like it. 😋 Main flavor comes from the cream ice cream and raspberry is on the background adding a touch of fruitiness. I would have liked even more prominent raspberry flavor in it. This, like the coffee flavour is really top level for me. Rich, creamy, nutty and uper high quality taste. Magnum very rarely fails to impress. The chocolate layer, mix-ins and texture is superb (although I do think there could be more almonds). The milk chocolate compliments the vanilla ice cream so well it is really hard to over state it. Crunchy chocolate, creamy ice cream, what else could you desire? The ratio is also good as you still want more once finishing the pot, not so rich or one sides that you have had enough or get sick of it. Maybe the fact that this was absolutely free made it a little sweeter but this just might have to be my favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor I’ve tried so far. This scoop shop exclusive flavor is a coconut ice cream with coconut and fudge flakes, walnuts, and swirls of graham cracker and butterscotch. Everything was in PERFECT harmony in this flavor. It was generously chocolatey (look at how massive the fudge pieces are), and coconutty with the graham swirls and butterscotch just amping it up. The walnuts actually worked well in this flavor moreso than I’d have imagined. Grade: B- Alec's ice cream is certainly a quality product. The base is creamy and the inclusions tasty. Let's unpack this pint. 🥄 The flavor base is a peanut butter ice cream. I have found that peanut butter flavored ice cream is difficult to get right and this one is good, but the flavor is kind of muted. While still smooth it had a bit of texture, so you know this was made with real peanut butter, but it needed more of a punch of that salty PB. This was more of a vanila peanut butter. 🥄 The fudge was nice, but nothing special. The ribbons were thin and more akin to a thick sauce than what I would call fudge. The honeycolmb peices were small and chocolate coated, which kept them nice a crunchy. There was a good number of them but there certainly could have been more. Alec's is most definately not trying to compete with those brands who go crazy with thier mix-ins. 🥄 So if you are all about the ice cream, this may be more for you. Had the base a stronger flavor and the fudge actuctually fudgy this would have been a much better pint. Cinnamon Roll – Ganz neu gibt es seit letzter Woche dieses Eis von Rewe. Ich musste es natürlich sofort probieren, weil ich ein großer Zimt Fan bin. 🥰 Ich habe gleich zwei Becher beim Rewe gekauft für je 2,99€. Habt ihr es auch schon probiert? Ich habe den Becher 10 Minuten antauen lassen, weil dieses Eis weniger luftig ist, was ich lieber mag. 🥰 Das gelb gefärbte Eis ist dichter, aber auch nicht ganz fest. Die Konsistenz ist cremig, homogen und vollmundig. Es hat einen langsamen, milchig/sahnigen Schmelz. Es schmeckt tatsächlich wie ein zimthaltiges Gebäck. Zimt-Keks und kein Spekulatius Geschmack. Das eingesetzte Aroma ist künstlich aber sehr lecker! 😄 Die Zimtsoße zieht ihre Kreise in Bahnen. Ich hatte etwas zu wenig davon in meinem Becher. 🥺Die Konsistenz ist dünnflüssig ohne Eiskristalle. Sie schmeckt extrem süß, fast wie Zucker Sirup. Der Zimt Geschmack ist sehr intensiv und die Soße erinnert gut an eine Zimtschnecken Füllung im Geschmack. Die Mürbegebäckstücke halten was sie versprechen. Sie sind nicht zu fest und nicht zu weich, sondern noch leicht mürbe. Sie haben einen schönen Kuchen Geschmack und sind in einer guten Menge und Größe vertreten. ☺️ Eine Alternative für das ersehnte Cinnamon Buns von Ben& Jerry’s ist es leider nicht. Dafür fehlt das zimtige Cookie Dough und die Karamell Eiscreme, aber dennoch ist es ein sehr leckeres Eis. While I had a legitimate obsession with Tilamook cheese back in my senior year of college, this was my first time trying Tilamook ice cream. Admittedly I didn’t give this the fairest shot because the ice cream was very much melted when I ended up consuming it. That being said, I do like melted ice cream so honestly I think if it were really good ice cream I would’ve liked it melted too. The chocolate ice cream part was really whatever to me and tasted like grade school cafeteria chocolate milk (if it slayed just a little bit). The the chocolate covered waffle cone pieces were lifelessly soggy and while that could in part be attributed to the tub sitting out for a while, I would’ve expected the pieces to have some structural integrity. It really tasted like chocolate soggy cereal to me unfortunately. The vanilla ice cream was actually pretty nice and tastes pretty high quality and the caramel swirl was not bad either. I would like to give Tilamook ice cream a second chance but when it comes to waffle cone ice cream…well I have my opinion on which brand takes the cake but I should review it officially to disclose that info 😜. Triumf- Gräddglass churros 🍨 Churros är ju för gott! Speciellt med Nutella & mjukglass eller kanel & socker. Another flavour I've not met before. The top is thick with a generous amount of berry toppings too. You instantly know that this is going to be a fruit livers dream. Crack through the top and you get to a pinkish ice cream that clearly is some kind of mixed berry flavour. As with the espresso pot, the ice cream is super creamy and has a rich and quality taste. Grade: B- I am new to the Alec's ice cream brand. I do not have a dairy intollerance but I like the idea of this being an easier to digest treat. A2 all the way! 🥄 The Chocolate Chocolate Chip is just what it sounds like, a chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips. Basic, but the devil (devil's food?) is in the details. The base is a nice chocoalte flavor, nothing too exciting but nothing bad. It was creamy and dense, just the way ice cream should be. The chocolate chips were a very good texture. They had some resistence but were soft enough to not snap or crunch when chomped on. I hate a chalky or waxy chip! These were really nice. Unfortuneatly, they were a bit sparce. The pint could have used another dozenor more of those chips. Overwhelm me with inclusions! 🥄 Overall a good introduction to Alec's ice cream. While the flavor was a bit boring for this guy, it pretty much delivered on what it promised; chocolate chocolate chip...it even gave me more than just one chip, so bonus! Schokolade & Haselnuss – Eine neue vegane Eissorte von Cremissimo. Ich bin kein Fan von Schokolade, aber Haselnuss mag ich. Darum habe ich das Eis im Kaufland mitgenommen für 1,59€ im Angebot. Habt ihr es schon probiert? ☺️ Die Röschen geben es so schön vor, daher habe ich das Eis in 6 Portionen geschnitten und meinem Mann auch einmal probieren lassen. 😁 Durch den hohen Lufteinschlag kann man direkt loslegen, aber kurz antauen lassen ist nicht verkehrt. Die karamellisierten Haselnüsse oben drauf waren etwas ungleichmäßig verteilt und hätten knuspriger sein können. Sie haben recht neutral nach purer Haselnuss geschmeckt. Im Eis selbst sind keine Stückchen. Das Eis ist luftig aufgeschlagen, aber schmilzt sehr langsam. Die Konsistenz fühlt sich cremig an, aber man merkt schon dass Bindemittel am Werk sind. Man schmeckt auf jeden Fall dass Wasser die erste Zutat ist wenn das Eis im Mund zergeht. Beide Eissorten sind grob verteilt, wodurch man sie meistens einzeln genießt. Das Schokoladeneis machte gefühlt ungefähr 40-45% aus. Es hat einen Kakao Geschmack, der weder herb noch bitter war. Die Süße war auch genau richtig, nicht zu viel. Das Haselnusseis war gefühlt 55-60% vertreten. Es handelt sich nur um Haselnussgeschmack laut Verpackung. Für mich schmeckt das eingesetzte Aroma nicht nach der klassischen Haselnuss, sondern nach Nougat. Das Aroma ist sehr vertraut und erinnert mich an diverse Süßigkeiten mit Nuss-Nougat oder Schoko/Haselnuss Geschmack.😄 Am ehesten erinnert mich das Eis an eine Praline. Haselnuss-Nougat mit einem Schokoladen Mantel. 😄 Mein Mann hat seine Portion genossen, ohne zu bemerken dass es vegan/wässrig ist. 😉 Er fand es sehr lecker. Nach Vegan schmeckt es für mich ebenfalls gar nicht. 𝕄𝕒𝕘𝕟𝕦𝕞 𝕎𝕠𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕣 𝔾𝕠𝕝𝕕𝕖𝕟 𝕋𝕠𝕗𝕗𝕖𝕖 Buongiorno e buon lunedì, come state? 😎 Con l'allungarsi delle giornate e l'innalzamento delle temperature, hanno finalmente iniziato a comparire nei freezer dei supermercati le prime novità in fatto di gelati attese per questa estate! 🤩 Tra quelli trovati però non potevo non iniziare con quello che mi incuriosiva di più, ovvero il Magnum Wonder, che, insieme ad Euphoria e Chill, costituiscono la nuova trilogia Algida di quest'anno. 😁 All'interno della confezione sui toni del marrone e del dorato, troviamo tre stecchi composti da un cuore di gelato al gusto di datteri e mou con copertura di cioccolato bianco con caramello e pezzetti di mandorle caramellate. 😋 All'apertura l'aspetto degli stecchi è sempre ben fatto ed invitante, anche se a me sembrano leggermente più piccoli del solito... 🤨 E se pensiamo che costavano più di 5€, mi sembra che i gelati si stanno trasformando praticamente in bene di lusso! 😢 Al morso la copertura risulta come sempre bella croccante e con un buon sapore di cioccolato bianco e delle belle note caramellate, con in più un piacevolissimo effetto super crunchy dato dalle mandorle. Il gelato all'interno invece è dolce e piacevolmente vanigliato e armonizza perfettamente con la copertura. 😋 Almeno finché non si arriva al cuore di gelato più scuro, che rimane invece eccessivamente zuccherino e con un gusto molto particolare e fruttato, che ricorda abbastanza quello dei datteri. Vi assicuro che di solito a me i datteri piacciono, ma qui trovo che stonino con il resto delle componenti. Grade: C 🥄 I have had Enlighteded’s Brownies and Cookie Dough a few times, but not the Greek yogurt version, so I was quite curious. Opening the pint, however, I was a bit surprised. 🥄 As you can see the pint was not filled. It was a good 1-2” below the top. So weird. Had it melted and refrozen? Not filled? Did Goldilocks get to it first? 🥄 It was the typical Enlightened texture, nice and creamy, not gritty or mealy, so I don’t think it had melted (despite what the Enlightened person said when I sent pics). There was hardly any yogurt tang, and I doubt I would have known it was yogurt. The brownie and dough pieces were good, sparse, but good. 🥄 In the end, it was good, but about 15% less than it should have been. Tried out the new/returning frosted animal cookie blizzard from @dairyqueen While there was nothing bad about this blizzard, I definitely don’t see myself getting it again over others in their lineup. The frosting makes the base taste like your typical (dare I say cheaper) birthday cake flavored ice cream. You all know what I’m talking about. The animal cracker pieces are animal cracker pieces so they don’t bring a ton of flavor. Basically shortbread cookies. However, big shoutout to DQ for using frosted animal crackers because every single one was as crispy as could be. Overall, this blizzard was a bit boring, just being sweet and nothing beyond that. I’d recommend another item from their new summer lineup. This is by far the best release of flavors since I became a Jeni’s frequenter about 6 months ago. For the solar eclipse Jeni’s released 4 limited edition flavors- one being the returning fan favorite, Super Moon. These flavors are all fruity and refreshing which is SO up my alley. The insta word limit is preventing me from going into their official descriptors so check out the screenshots I included from their website. Cosmic Bloom had a heavy passionfruit presence with a light strawberry kiwi hint and some peachy undertones as well. It was like those tropical fruit juice blends but even better because it had a surprisingly complementary milkiness to it. Super Moon was less floral than I was expecting tasting like a lavender london fog with the marshmallow’s vanilla just peeking through. It was not as sweet as the other flavors but none of the flavors were too sweet or artificial tasting. Nebula Berry had a sweet raspberry taste with some blackberry notes and an elderberry taste that reminds me of elderberry syrup. A surprising favorite for me was Purple Star Born which was grape flavored. Don’t like grapes or grape flavored things but it was so excellent. Concord grapes are far better than other grapes and the blackcurrant sent it into 10/10 territory.The space dust aka milky pop rocks wasn’t particularly my vibe but I will give them credit that fruity flavors are the best to be paired with such a topping. It gives Milkis vibes tastewise which I did like. Grade: A- 🥄 My experience with pretzels in ice cream is mixed. If they are not coated, they are an awful kind of weird-kinda-chewy. And even when it says they are chocolate coated, at least half are broken and therefore…a weird-kinda-chewy. So, I dug into the pint with low expectations. Described as “Chocolate ice cream with fudge-covered pretzel pieces and pretzel swirls.” Interesting, not fudge-covered pretzels but pieces. 🥄 As expected, the ice cream base is rich and creamy. Some peeps say they do not like Ben and Jerry’s chocolate, but I think it is great. Not overly dark and bitter, but not that weak “chocolatey” stuff you get in store brands. The pretzel swirl was good but a bit odd. Kinda soft but also sandy. It had a nice saltiness that made the sweet chocolate even sweeter. But what about those fudge-covered pretzel pieces? 🥄 Those pretzel pieces were the star of the pint…even though they were not pieces of pretzel covered in fudge. Nope, these were fudge pieces with bits of pretzel, like a pretzel bark. They had a nice snap, but they were also fudgy. In short, they were perfect. In fact, I normally take a picture halfway through the pint but I simply forgot. Maybe I was just too into it? They refer to the soft serve on the menu as ice cream but believe all their flavors come in soft melty swirls. This seasonal peach flavor tasted super homey like some good peach yogurt and was not too sweet. You can tell even by the color of this that this uses real peaches. They seem to only have vanilla, chocolate, a seasonal flavor, as well as vegan option or two available at the shop at any point in time which does seem like a rather small list of offerings for a place with Ice Cream in the name but their waffle options seemed more extensive. All that aside though, this is about as good as you can get with a peach soft serve. Grade: B 🥄 I'm an Enlightened fan, but let's be honest, it's different from other high protein ice creams. This pint has 87g of carbs, 31 grams of sugar. So you need to balance that against the 24g of protein and 27g of fiber. 🥄 This was the first frozen yogurt I have had from Enlightened and I liked it. Described as "Blue (yes, blue!) vanilla flavored frozen Greek yogurt with chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolatey, sandwich cookie." 🥄 The base was very creamy with a hint of that yogurt, tartness, which I don't typically love, but this did not overpower the sweetness or cookie flavors. The chocolate chip cookie dough chunks were good, but I much preferred the sandwich cookie bites and wish they had been, more plentiful than the dough. 🥄 I have a few other flavors of their Greek frozen yogurts, and I'm looking forward to trying them. @yasso’s vanilla chocolate crunch bars Score: 7.25/10 🌟 📍🏡 (found on the @yasso website) . . This was one was pretty good. It’s no Yasso fudge crunch bar but it holds it own. The base is vanilla greek yogurt which is coated in a milk chocolate shell with quinoa crispies. The vanilla greek yogurt base has that yogurt-y tang that makes it less ice cream like than some other yasso bar flavors but its still good. I prefer the dark chocolate coating in general but here the milk chocolate’s sweetness balances out the yogurt’s tang. In the past, the ice cream was crumbly, dry, and hard as a rock. Now, it was so creamy I couldn't tell it was nondairy! The ice cream has a light cream cheese flavor, and there are giant chunks of strawberries within. My favorite part is definitely the graham swirl. Any flavor that Ben and Jerry has with graham crackers is delicious, and there's enough to have some in every bite. Even if you don't have to eat nondairy, I recommend trying this one out! La Muu raspberry cream ice cream in a waffle cone. 💕 The texture of this ice cream is super smooth and creamy. Raspberry flavor is strong and adds some nice tart notes to the cream base. A couple of weeks ago I tried this intensely decadent bar which consists of a vanilla ice cream with chocolate ganache swirl fully dipped in white chocolate with dark chocolate cookie pieces AND then half dipped in milk chocolate. That double chocolate coating lead to an extremely satisfying crunch and was thicker than most chocolate shells I’ve had. The white chocolate with cookie pieces reminded me of the hershey’s cookies and cream bar but better (I’m actually not the biggest fan of the hershey’s c&c bar but I liked this). I liked that the base ice cream was vanilla since the chocolate ganache not being too overpowering. This bar was more rich than overly sweet so I found it to not be offputting that there were so much to this bar. It was quite decadent for sure but also extremely satisfying and filling. There’s really nothing to complain about here. Jeni’s Birthday Rewards are really top tier because I got this absolutely filled to the brim and beyond cone, for you guessed it-free! As per usual with these monthly Jeni’s runs I settled on the limited time flavors which this go round was the Fluffernutter Pie and Powdered Jelly Donut flavors. The Fluffernutter Pie flavor was SOOOO sweet but luckily the kind of overly sweet I have a soft corner for. It’s roasted peanut butter and vanilla marshmallow ice creams with oat pie crust pieces. The marshallow ice cream completely overpowers tge pb ice cream to the point that I couldn’t even taste the peanut butter (and pb is a hard flavor to overpower) giving it a very honeycomb buttercreamy kind of taste that I personally love. The oat pie crust pieces added a subtle crunch for some texture. I think this flavor will definitelt not be for everyone. My scooper told me the Jelly Donut was a good flavor to combine with it so I gave the PJD flavor a try. The vanilla custard base was quite nice but the brown sugar donut crumble weirdly felt both drying and too soggy. The raspberry jelly wasn’t my favorite either and made me realize just how different jam and jelly are. While I usually love flavors with raspberry in it this was personally my least favorite Jeni’s flavor to date. I also got the buttercrisp waffle cone for the first time and it was pretty good but it just got too much with all the ice cream so I didn’t end up eating most of the cone itself. Got a free cake slice from Paris Baguette, as well.
