Last week was my last at @granitebarbellny for a while. Itโs very bittersweet leaving, but Iโm making some big changes in my life for the better. I just wish I could bring the gym with me ๐ I pulled a small equipped pr of 526 with @markbarnhartstrongish helping me out. A few months ago I tore my ACL. I had my last river adventure before surgery and I'm feeling much better now, especially after all the venison and rice since my regular food wasn't worth eating! Feeling homesick for a time today. Even if I could go back to the same places things would have changed, as is the way of life. Was it worth it? Hard to say. It cost a lot, for sure. It probably needed to happen, but not the way it did. I'm happy sometimes, often even, but could do with a positive word now and then; I might be used to constant criticism but that doesn't mean all of it is right, or that anyone should only ever hear how bad they are. A few pics from a much-needed sojourn back to Vancouver. It was a social whirlwind of a visit, which was intentional. I got to spend time with a lot of great people I wish I could see more often, and hung out in a community bike shop where I still feel so at home everytime I walk through the doors/smoke in the back courtyard.
