Deep in the forest. After 3 nights in the big mess of ko samui with traffic of airplanes above my head every single hour.. I have decided to take my children a little bit a way from the crowd. Surprisingly we found ourself deep in the jungle with great company. it was my children’s best adventure from all of the above (karabi, samui,hadrin kopangan, Bangkok). They had their best sleep ever , as they said. (Super basic room with bucket) Now I’m just waiting to get back soon… to the greatest heaven I’ve been in the last years. 👩🎨MORE ART. ART. ART.👩🎨 Weeks ago I met @amrietaa_arun. She heard about our place, came in and told us she would love to make a painting here. Well.. You only have to tell us that once! So she started the art, mixing clay and water and in this way creating natural paint 😍. Together with her friend @vivekanandaaaa they started with a great painting. It was a lot of work and they couldn't finish it totally, but already the wall looked awesome. BUT after a few weeks home she came back 😁. This time with friend @fakeeriyat. 🎨ANOTHER PROJECT DONE🎨 When we got the solar panels, we also had to make a structure to hold them. We wanted to create a multi functional structure which holds the panels, is a chilling area and a storage room. . So over the last period we started decorating this structure. @joyous_judy came in on the day the solar panels arrived and said she wanted to help out (so awesome). So she started the design and made the middle board. Later @dharini_somani stepped in and created this big and beautiful Good Vibes circle. @anoukel filled the whole thing up a little bit and... TADDAAAA..This is the result. 🎉FINALLY WE CAN TELL🎉 We now have SOLAR PANELS ☀ 😁. This is a big step in being selfsustainable ❤️. We had to finish our structure before Wednesday, because that was the day our panels would arrive. We wanted to make a good structure for the panels, combined with a storage area and a start of our new chilling space! Our last two loooong days have been about this only. We were going to write the whole story, but its just too long. So lets just say... Even our indian friends were surprised how the company handled this installation. Think that says enough. We are very very thankful that @nomadicmerijn and @joyous_judy were there to help us, that @weedyrasta did the installation for us (and so much more) and that @dharini_somani helped installing the floor. ⛰️SOLID AS A ROCK⛰️ Thats what we hope it will become. We continued our project. All the bark is removed from our logs, which made Lenny very satisfied as you can see in the picture. . There are now 5 poles in the ground and yesterday we collected a lot of stones. We still had to remove our old firepit from last year (which has lots of stones) so this was a win-win situation. Today we want to make a long day of work as there is some time pressure behind this project 🥴. . 🍂THE PROJECT CONTINUES🍂 The last couple of days have all been about taking of bark from logs and painting them. Also we put two more logs up in the ground now, so there are 5 now (forgot to take a picture 😅). . You guys came up with a lot of creative ideas of what you thought it was gonna be. Only a few more days and we will see who was right ;). . We only need to take bark of a few more logs. Some are easy, some really hard and time consuming. We do this with our nails 💅 or machette. And it is so satisfying when a huge piece comes off..as you can see on picture 2 😁. .
