We are happy to share that we have kicked off our Climate Resilience Initiative in Upper Chitral which is co-implemented with @jazz_mosafir We recently held a stakeholders' engagement session. Different stakeholders, from Charun to the communities of Gokir, joined in to chart a course towards climate resilience and adaptation. Discussions were held on the importance of climate change adaptation, resilience building, and mitigation. After engaging with the community and experiencing the dedication of stakeholders to contributing to climate adaptation and resilience, we're hopeful that we can effect positive change. We recently held a Media Training Program on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) reporting for Hunza and Nagar Press club members including representatives of @hunzanews , @bolnetwork , Daily K2, Daily Rehbar & Daily Indus News. Led by Mr. Israr Udin Israr, the event aimed to equip media personnel with tools for responsible reporting. Miss Noor Jabeen from KADO emphasized a gender perspective in media narratives. Discussions focused on ethical reporting, GBV's impact, and gender disparities. Participants engaged actively, discussing laws supporting GBV prevention. Mr. Israr stressed the importance of referral mechanisms for victims and role of media to highlight these cases while protecting the interest of victims. KADO recently hosted Mr. Afzal Mehmood, the Inspector General of the GB Police Department, at Hunar-Khan, alongside his team. A collaborative training session between the @tdapofficial and Karakoram Area Development Organization KADO was recently conducted at KADO Hunar Khun in Hyderabad, Hunza. The main focus of this training was to empower SMEs and artisans from the upper and central regions of Hunza with essential knowledge in product and brand development, as well as documentation and export procedures.
