✈️✨We recently heard a quote…”“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” This quote resonates with us so strongly. The education and experiences we’ve had over the course of the last 5 years has shaped us into who we are today. Going through our camera rolls and the rolodex of memories that we’ve forged since taking the jump to travel full time, makes us smile knowing that we are living our truth and spending life on our terms. Seeing the world and traveling together is the most valuable form of education we have. 🗺️✈️🌎 📍The Dunes in Abu Dhabi 📍Flying over the Exumas, Bahamas 📍Camping in front of Skogafoss in Iceland 📍@lifewithelliott snapping this photo in Grand Sand Dunes 📍Visiting Arches National Park on our Honeymoon (our first van trip!) 📍The Badlands under the Milky Way 📍Enjoying the Oregon Coast at Sunset 📍Saint John National Park, US Virgin Islands 📍The Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi 📍Home in our little slice of heaven (summer 2020)

Ah how much we miss sunsets like this 🤯 We’ve definitely been feeling the winter Northeast creative rut, more this year than others. So today we made a spur of the moment decision to get out of the winter and re spark our creativity again… The Exumas in the Bahamas have been on our bucket list for years! And we are officially booked for a trip down to the Caribbean in a month to experience all that the Bahamas have to offer 😍🙏🏼 Have you been to the Bahamas or the Exumas before? What was your favorite part of the trip?! ⬇️⬇️

1/27/2022, 2:23:48 AM

✨ Hi everyone :) ✨ We hope everyone’s 2022 has been off to a better start than ours 🤣 We both started the year with a good ole case of the flu and it’s taken us more time than expected to get back on track. With this additional time we’ve had a lot of moments to reflect on our goals for this year and what we want to do to continue bringing value and more content to our audience. We have a few new things in the works to bring more community together and connect like-minded travelers outside of Instagram. We are also ambitious with our travel plans (per usual) but in planning for some of these bigger trips this year, it’s our hope to bring you along on every journey and start creating more value driven content 👍🏻 That being said our top three bucket list trips this year are The Bahamas, Hawaii and Bora Bora 💯💯Are you seeing a theme here? 😋 What’s one bucket list trip you HAVE to take in 2022? ⬇️

Can we just pause time for a few months and keep these fall colors just like this? 🍁😁🚐

10/17/2021, 12:34:35 AM

Simple serenades on a mountain pond in the fall are just too good to pass up 😍🍁🎸 Our trusty van Moon will always be the first home we made together and our favorite way to travel. No matter the situation, she allows us the freedom to appreciate life’s precious moments of long road trips and scenic pull offs and we keep coming back to her time and time again for the reminder to just take things slow and enjoy the journey 🙏🏼

10/14/2021, 5:13:11 PM

Sunrise at our go-to-hike in the Whites 😍🍁😁 If you all remember, Anna lost her phone here last winter in three feet of snow and miraculously found it a day later using a metal detector 🤣😱 She was much happier here this morning than the last time!

10/14/2021, 12:25:04 AM

Just got back from 3-days, 25 miles, five summits and an incredible backpacking adventure in the White Mountains 🙏🏼 This experience was one we’ve dreamt about for a long time now and once we fully recover, eat a proper meal and sleep for a year we’ll fill you all in 🙂

10/12/2021, 1:24:49 AM

It’s hard to take a bad photo when all of the trees look like fruity pebbles 😍🍁 We are super excited to head out on our first backpacking trip of the year with @evanmcnaught and @christine_migs tomorrow for three days through the beautiful White Mountain wilderness. It’s a trip we’ve both been excited about for a while now and we’re hoping to share some updates and more color like this when we get back next week! DM us if you’re planning on being in New England/New Hampshire next week, we’d love to meet up to and head out on an adventure together 👍🏻🙂

Loungin among the live oaks last fall was pure bliss 🍁😁

10/7/2021, 2:59:02 PM

NBD just sitting on a different planet 😱 Thankfully we made it out without getting wiped out by any sneaker waves (look it up, they are insane on this beach). And as touristy as this spot can get, it was still such a cool experience immersing ourselves in these Basalt columns overlooking the ocean. The diverse landscape of this country is still blowing our minds as we scrub through footage for our upcoming video coming soon! Iceland has it all: beaches, mountains, grasslands and cute towns…it really is the perfect adventure playground for any avid traveler or explorer 🇮🇸

9/30/2021, 3:00:49 PM

This was probably the clearest and nicest evening we had the entire time we were in Iceland… While we love the adventure and the rush of chasing the perfect sunset, sunrise or night sky, we’re truly comfortable when we’re at a quiet campground surrounded by likeminded travelers with views like this 🙏🏼🇮🇸 One of the many things we realized in Iceland is just how convenient and beautiful the campgrounds are throughout the country and this campground was our favorite by far. From the entrance of the campground you got a perfect view of the sun setting over the ocean and just as the last light set, we turned around to see the view of the Snæfellsnes Glacier clear as day. Needless to say we had to take advantage of some long lens compression and scale 😁😁 Ahhh this country is just too beautiful!

9/29/2021, 4:50:13 PM

The air is crisper, the smell is cleaner, the breeze is cooler and the leaves have never looked better 🍁😁👍🏻 Fall is here and we couldn’t be happier for its arrival. We’ll be spending the next week prepping gear for two weeks in the White Mountains and New England area backpacking and chasing colors like it’s our job 😉📸 Shoot us a DM if you are going to be in New Hampshire or Vermont sometime in early to mid October, we would love to meet up!!

Exploring hidden gems of Iceland 🇮🇸🧊 For anyone thinking about traveling to Iceland here a a few tips we gathered after spending two weeks exploring the country… 🇮🇸 It’s way easier than we thought to get to Iceland. Flights are cheap and short (especially from the East Coast or other European countries) and you don’t need a visa if you’re staying less than 90 days. It’s so easy that my brother @evanmcnaught and his gf @christine_migs joined us for a quick weekend visit while we were there! 🇮🇸 Be flexible with your itinerary. We will be writing a blog post with our favorite places and adding a Google map. We found it easiest and most enjoyable to just hop around to places on the map vs following a day by day plan. The weather changes quickly in Iceland so being flexible will give you more sunny days. 🇮🇸 and on that note - as they say in Iceland, “if you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes” and it’s so true. We’ve never seen the weather apps be so completely wrong with their predictions 🤣 bring layers and tons of waterproof clothing! 🇮🇸 If you plan on renting a campervan or SUV to camp, most of the vehicles are standard transmission and are significantly cheaper than automatic. Although we opted for automatic for its convenience if you can drive stick, rent a manual to save money! 🇮🇸 Eat as much seafood as you can and explore the local cuisine even though it’s a bit pricey. Worth every penny! We’re huge foodies and when traveling to another country you get a massive education by talking to the locals and trying the food from the land 👍🏻 If you have any questions about visiting Iceland, feel free to DM us! 😁

My entire life I have wanted to see lava in person. So when the opportunity to see the eruption at Fagradalsfjall presented itself I jumped on it. It was a breathtaking moment watching molten lava pour down the mountain and pool at the bottom. I might start a late career as a volcanologist. Huge thanks to @jamesbonanno_ for the second shot and to @iceland for keeping this natural wonder safe and accessible to the public. . . . #fagradalsfjall #fagradalsfjalleruption #leavethemap #djimini2 #fromwhereidrone #dailyoverview #icelanddrone #exploreiceland #volcanoexplorers #volcanosoficeland

@thenorthface please sponsor us? 😆😆 We love taking photos of landscapes, especially to show the scale of this place, but every now and then we fall back into our early portrait days and just have fun photographing each other. It was one of the first things we did when we first met 7 years ago and it still energizes us to photograph each other in this way 😍 We have plenty of waterfall photos coming your way but we felt that the grid deserved a little reintroduction to Anna and James up close and personal 👍🏻

We’re firm believers in balance and getting rest when you need it. But don’t forget to listen to your gut once in a while when it’s telling you that tonight will be one hell of an adventure… THIS NIGHT was one of the most epic and life changing nights we had in Iceland. For way too long now we’ve been trying to meet up in real life with @andtheytravel and when they invited us to come and shoot the Aurora with them, we had a tough time saying no. Our bodies were telling us to go to sleep and just take the night off, but we both knew we had to say YES to the adventure that we knew would lie ahead. Not only did we have an epic night of watching the Northern Lights dance across the sky for the first time, but we made new friends in the process and fell in love with Iceland even more. This photo represents so much to us: adventure, taking risks, embracing life and never taking life for granted 🙏🏼 This trip was truly the breakthrough we needed and the opportunity of a lifetime. Iceland, you are a special place…we’re already planning the next one 🇮🇸🇮🇸

9/21/2021, 11:07:29 PM

“Fran-the-van” has been keeping us happy, inspired, tired and showing us the way of the land. She’s become a pretty trusty travel companion the last 4 days here in Iceland. Here is what she looked before she went off-road for 5 hours 🤣 She’s gotten a bit dirtier since Day 1 👉🏻 Last night we took an epic adventure further north to the West Fjords in search of the Northern Lights. We were unsuccessful but the journey there and back was worth it so see some of the most beautiful coastline and countryside that is explored way less than the southern and eastern parts of the country. Crossing our fingers and saying a prayer to Mother Nature that we get luckier tonight with the show we’ve been searching for 🌌

9/11/2021, 6:41:22 PM

Day 1 in Iceland and we’re already in love 🇮🇸🙏🏼 This place is magic everywhere and we are so excited to continue exploring this beautiful country for the next two weeks. Anyone in Iceland, let’s meet up!

9/9/2021, 3:12:18 PM

So for those who have been following along in our stories the past few days, we were hit with some upsetting news of our trip to Bora Bora being canceled due to an outbreak of the Delta variant and a 2-week lockdown. As upsetting as this was to us to find out, we are so fortunate that we are not dealing with the actual situation that so many locals are dealing with in French Polynesia; hospitals are at max capacity and it’s continuing to spread in the region, so for us we felt it was too risky to travel there at this time. As gutted as we were, this trip was a bucket list opportunity for us, so it was only right to try and replace it with another bucket list trip. And today we made the decision to book our flights to Iceland instead!! 🇮🇸👍🏻😛 Thank you to those of who sent us recommendations and we honestly cannot wait to explore this breathtaking country. Lately we’ve being feeling creatively stuck and a bit uninspired to create and with this trip we are really hoping to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and experience something new! For those who have been there we are totally flexible and open to any advice and reccs you have and if you’re going to be Iceland next month let us know! We’d love to meet up 👍🏻👍🏻

In less than two weeks, we’ll be getting on a plane and traveling internationally for the first time since before COVID. As excited and thrilled as we are to get back out there, it’s also caused a fair amount of anxiety for us and with the world being turned upside down over the last year and a half, we realize we’re probably not alone. For anyone in the same boat as us or looking to travel internationally in the near future, here are a few tips to ease those anxieties and make your travels as seamless as possible: 👉🏻 Make sure all of your essential documentation is up-to-date. Your Passport and/or Visa is your lifeline and now carrying a vaccine card or a negative COVD test is pretty standard while flying. We also like to keep a folder with us for paper copies of all our travel insurance, hotel and transportation booking, etc. in case something were to happen to our phones or we didn’t have WiFi to show proof. 👉🏻 If you’re thinking of traveling internationally, think way further ahead than you normally would. Flight prices are cheaper the further out you book and popular tourist destinations are becoming harder to book spur of the moment. If you are thinking of traveling next year, start planning all the details now! 👉🏻 If possible, allow yourself extra time on the front and tail end of your trip. Delays and cancelled flights are too common to risk a short window of flying to your destination without any room in between. If you can, book your flights a few days before you are set to arrive to ensure if something does go wrong, you have flexibility. 👉🏻 If you have to check a bag, make sure you carry on a separate bag with all your important belongings as well as a change of clothes and toiletries. In case something happens to your bag, you don’t want to be stuck for a night without a clean pair of clothes and you ALWAYS want to make sure to keep the important essentials on you at all times. 👉🏻 If you’re experiencing this kind of anxiety for a trip, it’s completely normal! Meditating and journaling are great exercises ahead of time. Even a few simple deep breathes can calm you down amidst the chaos or travel!

#ad Last week we went on an EPIC adventure right in our own backyard. We are always looking for healthy snacks that fuel our bodies and keep our energy high. These EPIC Pork Rinds & Crisps are light, full of protein, and made without preservatives, additives or sugar so we can feel guilt free on the trail 👍🏻 @epicbar And best of all, you can purchase them at your local @walmart or order online to have them delivered straight to your door 🚗🚪 EPIC makes it easy to choose meat snacks with ingredients you can feel good about!

After spending a few weeks getting acclimated in our new house, we finally went out to explore our own backyard. Literally 10 minutes from our front porch is the perfect gorge for hiking and exploring ☺️☺️ For us, finding adventure anywhere is a priority and it’s so nice to have it a stones throw from our front door. Whether we are traveling in Moon across the country, flying internationally to explore a new country altogether or just experiencing a little slice of our own hidden gems, this is the life we choose and we wouldn’t want it any other way ☺️

The smell of the Red Pines, the sound of the Brule River, and the embers of a crackling campfire; honestly what more could you want out of a camping experience? A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of visiting a really beautiful part of the country, in a remote state forest called the Brule River State Forest. The drive just to get to this campground was as beautiful as the site itself with the river running along the banks of the park and eventually stretching all the way to the headwaters of Lake Superior. While we spent much of our time here on the river canoeing and fishing, it was these moments around the campfire at the end of the day that made the experience that were our favorite. This photo was taken on the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and we felt lucky to just be present in the beauty of a never ending sunset and good company. Thanks to @travelwisconsin for the accommodations and local suggestions. #TraveWI #ad

Oh don’t mind me, I’m just hanging out on the largest freshwater lake by surface area in the world, sailing around like it’s my day job. I can definitely say that sailing on a lake is a first for me and 10/10 would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect afternoon on the water. @truenothsailingcharters even let us “sail” the boat and take over the wheel to make us feel even more legit. Life on the road is pretty sweet, but I definitely wouldn’t mind dabbling with life on a boat :) What do you guys think? New life change to sailboat owner and captain? Thank you again to @travelwisconsin and the great people of Bayfield for a wonderful and unique experience out on the water. This place is a true gem and I cannot wait to go back! #TravelWI #ad

Green Sands Beach on the Big Island of Hawaii gets its famous color from Olivine, a green crystal that can be found in certain lava flows. It’s been a busy few weeks renovating and painting in our new home! We’re both feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done but taking it one day at a time. In a few weeks we’ll be back in the van for another adventure! We’re excited to finally have some new photos for you all 😂

6/8/2021, 6:46:29 PM

It’s OFFICIAL! Moon now has a permanent place to park herself while we’re not on the road and boy is she excited! 🏡😁 For those of you that know us and who have been following along on this journey, you know that for the past two years we’ve been traveling full time/part-time in the van. It’s been the most incredible experience, with plenty of challenges along the way and we are in no way stopping “life on the road.” But we reached a point where it was important for us to plant our roots and have an actual place to call home for a while in the months that we’re not traveling. With the housing market being as crazy and competitive as it is right now, we were hesitant to start looking for the perfect home and have been pretty quiet on here about our entire home buying process, as to not share anything too soon. It’s been a few months of tirelessly looking for the home that checked all the right boxes and we really lucked out in finding this gem! We have LOTS of work to do in making this place feel like home, but if you know us well, you know we never turn away from a challenge 😝 A huge thank you to our realtor @lynnebensonrealtor for making the process of buying our first home such a pleasure and memorable experience. If you are in the process of buying a home on the east coast and looking for the best realtor, DM us! Here are the only two photos we took yesterday in our haze of excitement, I’d say they describe our emotions perfectly 🤩

Beer or coffee in hand, a cutting board and a sharpened knife ready to go, a the sound of crackling campfire in the background and a view to match are a few of the many luxuries of #vanlife 👍🏻⛺️🔥 The reality is though that the view is often the hardest piece of the puzzle. We’ve spent more nights in rest areas and Walmart parking lots, (like the last photo), eating cup of noodles from inside the van and putting up our black out curtains for maximum privacy. But it’s the evenings where we have solitude in a campground or a National forest, or a scenic overlook off the beaten path where the meal just tastes a little bit sweeter, the beer stronger and the vibes better 😁 Ahhhh the simple pleasures!

5/14/2021, 1:09:02 AM

The beauty and warmth of the Arizona desert are just a few of the countless reasons we love exploring this beautiful country of ours 🙏🏼🌅 What’s your favorite state in the US?? On a more present note, Happy Mothers Day to all the rockstar mothers out there that make this life possible for all of us! One day isn’t nearly enough to celebrate all that they do for us and we are so grateful for their love and friendship 😍😍

5/10/2021, 2:22:25 AM

Moon got a pretty sweet upgrade this Spring with the newest addition of our brand new electric @radpowerbikes and the Hollywood Bike Rack to go with it 😁🚲 These are bikes insanely fun! Not only do they look sweet when we’re traveling but they are super convenient when we want to have more of a leisurely ride and take in the sights, rather than pushing ourselves for miles on our regular bikes. We honestly didn’t realize how much fun we’d have taking these in the van, but they’ve been a game changer for long 30+ mile rides without having to move Moon from the campsite. And by taking these bad boys out on longer trips, rather than Moon, we’re actually cutting down our carbon footprint, which is a win-win in our book 🤩 These particular models are the Rad Rover 5 but they come in a ton of different models for the everyday commuter, causal traveler or e-bike enthusiast. To get one of your own click the link in our bio! You will not be disappointed! 👍🏻 #riderad #sponsored

There are truly fewer things more spectacular than a Oregon sunset in the summer 🤫🌅 Ever since visiting the northwest we’ve been dying to go back and truly explore this magical coastline. Our plans for the summer we’re initially to head out west and explore some of our bucket list parks in Washington and Oregon, but plans have changed and we’ll be exploring a little bit more of the east coast instead! What are your favorite parks to explore in the northwest?? We’d love to hear your suggestions of your favorite places to visit ⬇️

Getting creative with meals while traveling on the road can be frustrating at times. Between running out of fresh recipe ideas and having a huge clean up after dinner, we often just resort to making something quick and easy, but hate when that doesn’t satisfy. @idahoanfoods Buttery Homestyle Mashed Potatoes have been a game changer in the van for both great tasting meals and the easiest clean up ever. Idahoan starts with 100% real Idaho potatoes from local growers, and then they wash, peel, boil and mash them like you would at home. After cooking each batch, they simply fresh-dry the mashed potatoes so they’re ready for you to prepare at home, or in a van! 🚐👍🏻 To spice up our dinner, we recently tried making some potato pancakes over the open fire using our cast-iron skillet and just a few simple ingredients, including chives, cream and salt and pepper, and they turned out perfectly! It was the perfect meal to spice up our dinner in a creative way, while also keeping our clean up time to a minimum 😁🥔 #ad

A huge factor for us when going out hiking for the day is being prepared with enough food and water, but not so much where it weighs us down on the trail. Protein bars are a quick fix, but we’ve always felt like we were missing that extra kick and convenient energy boost of a true meal while we were out hiking and backpacking on longer trips. We’ve recently partnered with @idahoanfoods and their Buttery Homestyle Mashed Potatoes not only taste amazing but can also be cooked and enjoyed within just 5 minutes so we can get back to spending more time on the trail doing what we love 🥾👍🏻 These mashed potato pouches are lightweight, take up very little room in our packs and give us that perfect burst of energy we’ve been looking for. Plus, Idahoan starts with 100% real Idaho potatoes from local growers, and then they wash, peel, boil, and mash them like you would at home - so they are downright delicious! #ad

One more thing to add to our never ending bucket list: camp under the stars on the dunes at White Sands National Park. Last time we’re here we forgot our tents and had to stay in a campground outside of town instead. But you can bet that the next time we make it back to this magical place, dune camping is happening! 💭🌠👍🏻

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve actively gone out to take photos for fun 😩😩 Life has been a little bit chaotic lately, especially with the final steps on closing on our new house 🙏🏼🤩 But we are eager and excited to take a break from that this weekend for some coastal camping and a reset to bring that passion and spark of photography back. It’s so important to realize when you need a break from all of it. And as fortunate as we are to love what we do for work, we get burnt out just like anyone else working full time. Happy Monday everyone! Continue to explore those passions, grind away but always remember to take a step back if you need it ☺️ Cheers to a solid week everyone!

These photos are just a small representation of how breathtaking this Earth is and how lucky we are to call it home 🌍🌲🙏🏼 From the red rock deserts of Utah and the sandy white beaches of the Caribbean, to the fresh mountain air of Montana and everywhere in between, our life on this planet is a gift and it’s up to each and every one of us to respect that gift and treat it with kindness and love. We all have a part to play in protecting these finite resources so that generations to come may share in the same pride and joy that we feel for our home 👍🏻 Happy Earth Day everyone! 🌍🍃

Counting the seconds to our next adventure ⏱

We’ve had a busy last week with some major life changes... We’ve been toying with the idea of finding a place to call our own while we’re not on the road and we’re thrilled to share that our offer on a house has recently been accepted!!! 🏡🔑😁 We are by no means going to stop traveling and Moon is always going to be a huge part of the life we live, but it feels good to know that in the downtime we will now have our very own place to call home! And Moon will finally have a consistent parking spot to refuel and gear up for her next big adventure ☺️☺️ We feel so fortunate to be able to take this next step in our lives, but we’re treating it like the adventure that it is and enjoying every moment of the process 🙏🏼

Whenever we have the opportunity to bring the inside out, we take full advantage of it 😍😁

This is the largest all wood trestle bridge in the world, built back in 1933 😯 The bridge was constructed with a 14 degree curve to withstand the high wind environment. While it is no longer an active railway (as of 2008), it’s still an incredible feat of engineering. The quiet found in this part of the desert, mixed with varying gusts of wind can make walking on the bridge a somewhat nerve racking and eye widening experience. • Shot by @travistorok and edited by @bmontey Music: ‘Drive’ by Laxcity

We’ve missed doing cool things with cool people over the last year., as We know a lot of others have felt the same way 😕 But were so fortunate to have each other and share a life as best friends to experience these moments together. As simple as a winter sunset or evening on the coast, this life is special and we never take it for granted. That being said, we cannot wait to start hanging out with our friends again and spend time face to face again with one another 🙏🏼 Who else is ready for that day?

We’ve been prepping the van the past few days to head down south for a big job that we’re super excited about!! After a long winter, we’re so stoked to be getting back on the road!! If you have any recommendations of cool places in North & South Carolina, Georgia and maybe northern Florida, send them our way!! ✨

We watched Nomadland the other night and immediately recognized this spot in the Badlands - one near and dear to our hearts. We’re so grateful that we have the means to choose this style of living and to do it for fun but we are feel for those that may be doing this out of necessity or to escape society or their inner demons. We really liked the movie and felt that Chloé Zhao did a wonderful job with it. It makes you take time to reflect on the important things in life. We seen a lot of discussion and controversy over this film and we’d love to hear your thoughts. Have you seen it yet? What did you think?

Getting back on the road next week for some southern sun! This little thing will be staying with “grandma & grandpa” for a few weeks while we’re gone. 😂 Do any of you travel with cats? They make the best little road companions 😍

Have you taken any YOU time? 🧖🏽‍♀️🧖🏽It’s so important to slow down and take a break when you need it. We were feeling exhausted last week and went hiking, took naps & baths, and watched tv. It’s so much easier to feel productive this week after talking time to ourselves. How do you all unwind? ✨🥰 P.S. our best friend runs the hotel in this photo, @blackcanyoninn, and we highly recommend checking it out for a night or for an event if you’re ever in Estes Park!
