I’ve lived in Leeds on and off for the last 5 years and over that time I have tried out so many incredible food and drink places. Here’s my roundup of my top places to eat in the city centre: - @stuzzileeds will always be one of my favourites to take family and friends whenever they visit. I love the relaxed atmosphere, the food is always incredible and the small plates are great for sharing so you get to try lots of dishes! - @laynesespresso is my top place for brunch in the city centre. They have a great bakery section as well as an extensive hot food offering, and their proximity to the train station is fab for when you are meeting friends! - @sartopasta always delivers on huge portions of fresh pasta topped with mountains of cheese. If you ever visit make sure to try their focaccia and arancini, it is always incredible! - @ambientetapas is always my go to for tapas in the city. I love paella so much, it is definitely one of my top five dishes and this one did not disappointment, especially when served with a jug of sangria! - @kendellsbistro is always a great choice for a romantic evening. I love all the candles, the food menu on the chalk board which is ever changing adds a nice old school vibe and overall it is just a lovely venue for a date! - @olive_rye_official is a great choice for a cafe in the city centre. The queues speak for themselves so get there early! - @littletokyoleeds has been a firm favourite for me and my boyfriend for years. The atmosphere is great, and they have a very varied menu so great for when you want to try a few different things! 💴 Tips 💴 You may have noticed that just before Christmas we got a new card payment machine. This machine allows customers to leave a card tip when paying. They can choose a percentage or a custom amount or they can click “no thanks”. It’s not something we’ve ever offered as an option for customers, and only ever took cash tips. However, with many now not using cash, we were regularly asked if people could leave a card tip, but we didn’t have the facility to do this. Since introducing this, we regularly get asked if all the tips actually go to the staff and I just want to assure you that, yes, every single penny is split fairly between the team. The guys have seen a massive benefit of us adding this, as so many of you now leave a tip when paying and we’re really grateful for that. So I hope that’s clarified things for you, but if you have any questions, then please give me a shout (or just ask the team if I’m telling the truth 🫣🤣!)
