A little more than 5 years ago, I started what was very literally meant to be a "closet" account for celebrating my love for all things @lillypulitzer. Today was an end-of-quarter teacher workday, so the kids and I took a little field trip. It was our first Smithsonian visit since January 2020 and Lilly's first ever museum trip! We ended the day by meeting up with Pa Jim for dinner!

@thetwiggymom inspired me to post our #LastSplash in honor of Splash Mountain's last day. 💦 The first four pics are from our last ride August 5, 2022. The last two of Cameron are from last April on Spring Break and just too adorable not to include. 💦For as long as they've been tall enough, Splash has been all the big kids' favorite ride, as well as Andy's. I'm not a fan of getting wet on rides but "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" reminds me of my granddad, so the end of the ride never failed to bring a happy tear to my eye. 🥲 We're big Tiana fans so we're definitely looking forward to Disney's magical reimagining of this classic. 💚

#CollegeSweethearts ❤️ We still pass as a couple of ungrads, right? 😉 Despite the dreary weather, we had the best time showing the kids around our alma matter while we were in Texas last week. The first, fifth, and sixth pics are on campus where Emily requested a visit to the library. She was impressed with the size and the fact that there was a Starbucks inside! The second pic is in front of where Andy's fraternity house once stood. They torn it down to build condos but we still visit this special spot every time we're in San Marcos. The third and fourth pics are outside my sorority house. Andy was worried about pictures and the "No Trespassing" sign but I assured him alumnae were welcome and the sign was more realistically directed at "20 years ago Andy" and other fraternity boys looking to do scandalous things like TP the house. (Probably the most criminal thing he's ever done.) The kids got tired of my reminiscing after an hour or so, but San Marcos will always hold a special place in our hearts and feel like home. It was a good day.

I forgot to post these yesterday, but our Baby Lilly is 10 months old! Time just goes more and more quickly! 💖 Getting pictures was a big challenge as Lilly is starting to climb and also beginning to let go of things and stand on her own. She also has 6 teeth now! She LOVES to "talk," laugh, go swimming and dance (World's Biggest Little Harry Styles Fan 😉). She loves to eat and can't get enough strawberries, blackberries, broccoli, eggs, pasta or ricotta cheese. Most of all she loves her "bigs." 💜💖💙
