Todays, Monday Travel Log takes us only 2 blocks up the street to Loose Park’s Jazz in Roses for a free concert. Vocalist Havilah Bruders @havilahbruders mellowed out the crowd with smooth jazz and her wonderful voice. The KC Jazz All-Stars, musicians Rod Fleeman, Rich Hill and James Albright backed her up. Loose Park is a beautiful 75 acre city park, founded in 1926. It contains a pond, a 1-1/2 mile walking path, a Beaux-Arts style pavilion, a Civil War Battlefield, a Japanese Tea House, A Garden Center and a formal Rose Garden. There are over 3,000 roses of 130 varieties. It was a lovely evening.
