Envision you wild animal. There’s something pretty indescribable about getting in full costume and getting on a massive stage in front of thousands of people. Our @momentomcollective Prayerformance on Luna Stage was truly one for the books. 30+ people from around the world, merging multiple performer groups and cultures and telling a full story of ascension amidst the chaos of the world. Envision was so epic! 💥🤩💥 I feel so lucky to have been in this heavenly place, the lush Costa Rican jungle filled with incredible music and talent for 7 days straight! I got to play music and meet some of my heroes, be awestruck by the amazing performances and cheer on my talented friends! This was the final night during Dimond Saints at the Luna Stage, when I was so deliriously exhausted I could barely drag myself around but still couldn’t stop dancing!! Life is full of challenges so when we have the chance to spread some joy around we must take it, and cherish these magical times! (St. Louis Repertory & Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park). TV credits include: “Orange is the New Black”, “Nurse Betty”, “All My Children” and “Law & Order: SVU”. She is a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and The London Academy of Theater. Keri has had a long career in voice over, voicing video games, cartoons, TV and radio. Recently she has taken her love of talking to a whole new level by hosting and producing the popular mom podcast MOMTOURAGE. This is the art of transformation, and transformation through art, and vice versa If we are indeed actors, consciously or subconsciously performing— then ask yourself : Who is the character I’m playing right now? Meet the one that comes easiest to you, the one that interfaces with the world the most, the one you consider to keep you safe. What values does this character hold? This also means we can be whoever we want to be, if we have the courage to let those parts of you be seen. Theatre opens us up to experiencing different perspectives that we may not be aware of or contemplated. Theatre's way of examining dialogue, monologue and character allows us to flex our empathy muscles. In other words- understanding theatre helps us understand what it means to be human As actors or spectators, we can perceive the world as dramatic, or entertaining, or terrible or awesome - we can judge - but at the end of the day, our experience of life, as the protagonist of our lives, is entirely up to us. Momentom artist residencies are professional artistic spaces where we can explore edges we hold as creators that do not allow for these expression to be fully released. We invite you.
