It’s been 2 years since we have seen a wave. Sensory overload. 💙
The first thing I’m doing when we set sail and get to that point where the water turns to that deep blue is go for a human trawl.. I may even cry a little! Welcome back in my life big old blue!! This was on our way to Vanuatu over the New Hebrides Trench which stretches between New Caledonia and Vanuatu. It’s the deepest water we have ever sailed in being 6000 meters but the deepest part of the trench is 7600 meters. No filter on the water colour.. it’s absolutely spectacular and to swim in it.. when you put your head under the colour is so dark and surreal. It’s like your surrounded by the deep blue colour. Biggest nature froth! 💙 Would you get in with me and have a squizz? 🧐 Or just yell from the boat “yeah I’ll be down in a minute.... what does it look like?? “ 😎😂

We went camping off grid last week and our enamel plates and mugs were the literal best! They’re lightweight, child friendly, plastic free, non-stick, campfire proof, non toxic, resistant to rust, durable, oven proof, easy to clean and actually looks good. They’re made from porcelain enamel, which is powdered glass bonded onto steel. Our @falconenamel plates and mugs are pressed out of a sheet of steel, which is then dipped in the liquid enamel and fired in a kiln. The porcelain enamel then hardens to a smooth, durable coating. Once the first firing is complete, the rim is hand painted and then it’s re-fired. And bingo... Enamel dinnerware perfect for entertaining, outdoor cooking and camping. A few scenes from our @southernoceanretreats stay in Deep Creek Conservation Park over the weekend. It was such a treat to stay in this eco-accommodation, nestled by beautiful stringybark Forest. Highlights included seeing echidnas, scarlet robins, blue wrens, lots of roos, Deep Creek waterfall, and playing board games by a big indoor fire. NATURE FROTH: I dug deep into my phone to find a random surf pic for an insta post, and came across this. Tide Pool Monkey Froth from low tide G-land. I had no idea monkeys even swam like this as I hadn’t really seen it Indo before. A few of them were legitimately holding their breath underwater for up to 20-30seconds (I literally counted). @fionapeters had gone to walk the reef, and were just chilling in some tide pools. The best part about lockdown is the natural tourist attractions are open and we pretty much have them to ourselves. Seven wells waterfall was absolutely stunning and the upside of being here during the wet season is the waterfalls are flowing. 😊👌🏽🌿💦

Would you believe this is in Scotland?! Seriously felt like I’d somehow been transported back to the Sunshine Coast when I stepped onto these sandy shores in Morar ⛵️✨ 〰️ If you’re heading to the Isle of Skye via the ferry in Mallaig, make sure you put some time aside to stop into Morar Beach and wander along the crystal clear coast line. I’ve been told that if the tide is out you can walk all the way to the other side of the bay!
While I only got to spend a quick few hours in Glasgow, the Glasgow Botanic Gardens did not disappoint 🌵 〰️ The stunning glasshouses within the gardens were my absolutely favourite, with so many rooms to explore and plant species from all over the world. The sun graced us with its presence while we were here and streamed in through the glass roof...it was pretty magical ✨
And just like that, we’re home! Quick round trip to the snowy mountains for a ‘spring wedding’ but experienced all four seasons in one day! We were lucky enough to have time to explore following the big day, and my gear survived being snowed on with no protection whatsoever. So many hidden beauties to discover in London 🌿 〰️ The Pergola was built in the early 1900’s and can be found nestled in Hampstead Heath. Over the years, the Pergola was forgotten, becoming dilapidated and overrun. It’s now been partially restored but still has vines twisting around the weathered wooden pillars. It feels like at any turn you could run into a character from a Jane Austen novel 🏛🍃

Walking into the week like... 🍂🍁 I recently spent a few days relaxing at @thewensley with friends. We cooked, we slept, we laughed, we chilled, we danced, we explored and we stoked the fireplace.
