THE STORY : A desperate and cash-strapped family man (Fernandez) and his brother in -law (Dillon) set off a deadly chain of events after robbing a pill mill in a small town ,that put's them both on a collision course with the town Sherriff (Travolta) and a mob enforcer (Dorff) who will stop at nothing to get back what is owed. THE REVIEW : First and foremost, going into this movie, be aware that although it is sold as a John Travolta movie here in the U.K., this is more of a co-starring role for Travolta who put's in a decent performance but only appears in a handful of scenes , this movie is Stephen Dorff's movie as he pretty much walks away with this movie with his brilliant performance as a philosophy speaking but cold and calculating hitman. Dorff has really put in some great performances over recent years with the likes of Old Henry, King of Killers, and the brilliant True Detective season 3. Dorff is totally believable as the violent hitman for the New Orleans mafia who stops at nothing to get the drugs and money back that his employer seeks with violent retribution, which proves a problem for our hapless duo Fernandez and Dillon as they must pay the consequences for there crazy actions. Director Nicholas Maggio in his directorial debut, keeps things firmly grounded in reality throughout in a movie where many characters grey area's come to surface in a small town where no one is innocent.
