So whilst I’m on the subject of ceiling colour…take a look at this divine maximalist room @hinwood06 which has that juicy green up and over the top. I particularly like how this colour plays on the fine green line in the sky of the large dog painting…it’s the sort of trick I like doing. It’s hard to tell if this is a flat emulsion or a lime-wash but what I’d really like to draw your eye to is the top corners of the opening in the image …the left hand being a paler green with the receding wall darker, opposed to the right hand corner in the shade, with the receding wall paler from what we assume is window light. Look at the transitioning, slightly murky colour within the two corners on the ceiling too. These 4 greens are just some of the many hues and nuances, and this is just one way we can observe colour in choosing harmonious combinations for wood trim, walls or features.
