For the last couple of months I've been working on retexturing our walls. What started with new home builder grade textured walls being turned into something soft and velvety with subtle texture with new trim along all the baseboards is a project I never thought I would complete in this house. But I'm so glad all these months of hard work have paid off in such a big way, and we were able to add some old school charm into this home! We had some ulterior motives for heading to the coast last weekend. I had come across this beautiful antique cast iron table base off craigslist (for just $9!!!) and the guy was kind enough to hold it for me for a week till I could come pick it up (some people are just the best)! While it's still waiting for a more official table top (hopefully a marble one), we're debating whether this should be turned into our dining table or a side table! For now though, I'm just going to enjoy it's form for awhile before I make any decisions! Two “good sized” plants per 100 square feet of interior space is often recommended. 𝟑. 𝐀𝐝𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 - Fairy lights are good for occassions, people go mostly overboard on this. Keeping it in glass jar or pot will not make look like it messy if you want to decor it with regularly. Use always rechargeable batteries though. 𝟒. 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭 - Good thing, but not suitable where we live in, burn a 'soy candle' or few if you must. Burn 'dhoop' or incense to create nostalgic evenings, light a diya and play chants or your favorite music on Alexa. 𝟓. 𝐇𝐨𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 - Good for us in moderate quantity. We dont live in chilly temperatures, so burning up those extra calories that comes with it would be real difficult. Opt for something else which you are eating since your childhood.
