The storyline towards the end takes so many turns that having something in front of you to physically read may help you not be confused. Maybe not 🤷🏼‍♀️ When I was done listening I was like WTF did I just listen to?! In this book we meet Evie who is seriously over romance and the idea of true love. Especially after she obtains the power to see a couples fate when she sees them kiss. When Evie sees a couple kiss, she can see how their relationship started, where it’s at right now, and how it’s going to end. This all started after a woman gives her a book titled Instructions for Dancing which takes her to a dance class. Will Evie write love off forever?!⁣ ⁣ Y’all!! This book right here…I have no words!! I SOBBED and I mean SOBBED like a baby while reading this. Brett looked at me and was like “𝘠𝘰! 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺?! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨?!” And I was all like 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞!! A mysterious plane appears out of nowhere at an airport with no crew and the only passengers are infants. 😮 I definitely enjoyed this first installment in the series!! Was a quick and easy read!! I would definitely recommend this one for anyone who loves a good YA thriller-type series!! This one gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫⁣ ⁣ Brett says he really enjoyed this one and thought it was a very well done YA book!! When I asked him if he would buy it and recommend to others he said most definitely!! This was the perfect summer read! I always adore a well-done family drama and Last Summer at the Golden Hotel did not disappoint! I always get a little nervous when there are alternating POVs within a book. I think it's one of the harder ways to write a book, but Friedland did such a great job with it! I really loved the Dirty Dancing vibes and enjoyed the flashbacks! It’s bittersweet but I’m so excited for new beginnings!!⁣ ⁣ In keeping with my happy mood I figured I would share my most recent 5 🌟 read!! I was not surprised by this one!! Grady Hendrix is becoming one of my absolute favorite authors!! The way he combines overdone tropes with comedy and some surprises always leaves me wanting more!! Check out my review for this fab book below 😍⁣ ⁣ Lynnette is one of a select group of women known as "Final Girls." They're the girls left standing when the killer is finished with his bloodbath. The girls who some may think of as unstoppable. These "Final Girls" have been meeting to help each other deal with life after surviving horrific murder attempts. Lynnette is the most cautious of the group, and she believes the killing is never over for a "Final Girl". The rest of the group views Lynnette as the most paranoid and unstable one of their group. But when one of their fellow members goes missing and is later found murdered, the other Final Girls begin to wonder if Lynnette might have been right all along. ⁣ ⁣ Grady Hendrix has done it again. I just love how he can take a well-known trope and make you feel like you're reading it for the first time. In true Hendrix fashion, the concept of a "Final Girl" is woven into a twisty and very entertaining read. Unlike other authors (who I will not name...but you know who) Hendrix does not hide the fact that he's using a well-known trope. Hendrix takes the well-known trope and makes it his own. ⁣ ⁣ I honestly could not put this one down. I usually find myself figuring out the twists in a story like this pretty early on, but I will admit this one took me for a wild ride! And of course I now want to go binge-watch all my favorite slasher movies. BRAVO Grady Hendrix!! You've done what others have failed at doing. You took what some consider to be an overdone trope and made it highly entertaining!!⁣ ⁣ Majorly huge thank you to @berkleypub & @netgalley for my copy of this one!! Go grab your copy now!!

Enter the Sunshine Vikram series from @daryndajonesofficial ⁣ ⁣ Sunshine Vikram wins the Sheriff position in her hometown, even though she never ran for the position, in Del Sol, New Mexico. She and her daughter Auri move in to the apartment her parents built for them on their property. Sunshine thought her new position would be pretty easy since Del Sol is a small place, but she soon finds out how wrong she is! A friend of Auri’s has been kidnapped and this drags up part of Sunshine’s past that she tries to forget. Will Sunshine be able to solve the case?⁣ ⁣ @daryndajonesofficial has hit it out of the park with this one! I absolutely LOVED this book! Sunshine and Auri’s relationship and banter is so fantastic!! And the storyline is just FAB!! I loved all the secrets and surprises in this! 𝔸 𝔻𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝔾𝕣𝕒𝕧𝕖⁣ ⁣ Happy Friday Jr. y’all! ⁣ ⁣ Hope everyone has had a fab day!! ⁣ ⁣ It’s exactly 1 week until my last day at my current job!! I’m starting to get excited for this new venture😍😍⁣ ⁣ Of course I’m still getting caught up on my reviews so I’m coming at y’all with another one today💜💜⁣ ⁣ The second installment in the Maggie D'arcy series follows Dectective Maggie D'arcy as she investigates an Irishman who is found in her jurisdiction in New York. Dective D'arcy is surprised when she has to follow a lead on her vacation in Ireland when visiting her boyfriend Connor. Will she be able to solve the case?⁣ ⁣ This one was a good follow up to The Mountains Wild. I do feel like this one was lacking some in regards to being a page-turner. I just don't feel it quite lived up to my expectations after reading The Mountains Wild, but it was still an enjoyable read. I will definitely continue with this series. One thing we’ve seen this past year is how much growing and change our country still needs to do.⁣ ⁣ Other Words for Home shows what it’s like for Jude to leave her home & part of her family behind to come to America. America promises to be a safer country, but Jude discovers that in America things aren’t so perfect. When you are from a different country and culture, people aren’t always so accepting. ⁣ ⁣ I think this one should be required reading!! Definitely such an emotional read!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Here’s some quick mini reviews for them! ⁣ ⁣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿⁣ Okay WTF was that?! I mean I enjoyed it, but like didn’t enjoy it in a way...it was definitely a page turner but that ending had me like really?! 🌟🌟🌟💫⁣ ⁣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀⁣ Beautifully written, but honestly a bit boring a times, this historical fiction was a quick read for me. I did enjoy the references in this one but over it wasn’t the greatest.⁣ 🌟🌟🌟⁣ ⁣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱⁣ I liked this character driven read! I liked the Cherokee myths that were interwoven into the story. I just felt like there was something missing from this. MY THOUGHTS My Recommendation A Special Place for Women was the perfect combination of a little mystery, feminist power, and a touch of spice! I will admit it took me a little bit to get in to the storyline of this one, but once I got through the first few chapters, I was hooked. In the beginning I got major The Herd vibes, so I was a little cautious because that book wasn't my favorite. But those vibes quickly went away! Laura Hankin definitely melded together such a great story and I seriously need this to be turned in to a movie! Oh and I need another book! How about a Netflix series?! I won’t say who because that would just spoil everything!! If you’re looking for a very well written coming of age story then definitely grab this one!! Loved the first one and this one did not disappoint either!! I found the audio to be quite confusing. I think I remember seeing where other reviewers had the same issue with the audio. As far as the storyline goes, it was an okay story. There were a few twists, but they were somewhat predictable. I really enjoyed the storyline of this one. I loved Hana Khan's character and quickly fell in love with her. The supporting characters in this one were all great! There were characters to love and characters to hate, which always makes for a good read! I appreciated the family drama aspect of this one and absolutely loved learning new things about the culture and religion. This one definitely made me hungry while reading, so maybe have a snack close by while reading this one! I can appreciate the reasons as to why it’s considered a classic, but it was just okay in my book. I’m learning more and more that not all classics are for me!! 𝔸𝕣𝕖 𝕎𝕖 𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕐𝕖𝕥⁣ ⁣ Alice Sullivan seems to have it all together in life. She’s got a great job, her house will soon be in Elle magazine, and her kids are doing great…or so she thought. Her son Teddy seems to be having behavior issues & her daughter Aidy is having trouble with her reading. Can she get things together?⁣ ⁣ This one was such a good story! I think many people will find Alice’s character really relatable. I am not a mother, but I still found things about Alice that I could relate to. I appreciated how the POV switches between characters, and allows you to experience the story from multiple characters. Multiple POVs aren’t always the best in books, but it was done well in this one. So much happens in this book that it was hard for me to put down, even after having already read it once. I can’t wait to see where this series goes! 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫 for this one!! 𝔹𝕝𝕒𝕔𝕜 𝔹𝕦𝕔𝕜⁣ ⁣ Happy Tuesday y’all! I took a little break over the holiday weekend and it was so nice!! Glad to be back posting though!!⁣ ⁣ For this one I listened to the audiobook. Big thank you to @libro.fm for my #ALC of this one!⁣ ⁣ Black Buck was not like anything I have ever read before. If you’re considering reading this one, I would definitely recommend the audiobook. The narrator did such an excellent job with it. At times I did find the audio to be quite intense, but that was the goal. It definitely added to the story. I appreciated the parallels that were drawn between the cutthroat sales industry and the current status of our country and the racism that is engrained within it. This book was a bit out of my comfort zone but I’m so thankful I read it. Overall I like this one and it gets 🌟🌟🌟💫⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲?!

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗲⁣ ⁣ Kristin Hannah is quickly becoming a must read author for me! When I saw this one was being made into a Netflix series, I had to jump on the wagon!! I’m so happy I did 😍⁣ ⁣ I thoroughly enjoyed (and was crushed) by The Nightingale & now Hannah has done it again for me with Firefly Lane. I loved the story of Tully & Kate’s friendship and loved following along with their lives. After reading this, I started watching the Netflix series & they are nothing alike! The book was definitely better and gets 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸?!⁣ ⁣ 𝘐 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳!

This one gave me a grown-up Hunger Games vibe and I am here for it. 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁, 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, & 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿⁣ ⁣ Justine and her dog Spencer were meant to find each other. Justine knew from the moment she saw him that Spencer was meant to be her dog. So what is she going to do when she finds out that Spencer used to be someone else’s dog and they’ve been searching for him since he went missing?⁣ ⁣ This one was such a cute read!! Loved the premise of the book and the characters. The relationship Justine and Spencer was such a cute one and I loved all of the supporting characters.
