Tokyo and its pockets of nature… 🌿 💭 When thinking of Tokyo, we can easily picture an urban jungle but that would underestimate the Japanese and their connection to nature! 🪷The two main religions in Japan are Shintoism and Buddhism, actually most of the Japanese will consider themselves as both. These two religions/philosophies have a special bond with nature considered sacred. For them every natural object such as trees, mountains, river, rocks etc… have a spirit! Therefore nature is really respected and appreciated. Japan will make sure that nature is never too far! So yes, even in Tokyo there are pockets of nature everywhere! 🪴You can easily find Japanese gardens, parks, and trees inside the city (and the rest of Japan of course). It is such a bliss to be able to unwind and relax surrounded by these shades of greens, water, birds, and flowers. I know I'm in danger of declaring every place I frequently visit as one of my favourites, but this place definitely shares the top spot. Although it's right next to civilisation, it feels almost untouched by humans, save for a rusty tree hide and some of those branch shelters the kids love to make. There're no paths or signs, no gates, and only one entrance which doesn't even look like an entrance, just a slightly more open spot next to the road. 💗My little Petal 💗 . If daughters were flowers, I’d pick you every time 🌸. . The other day Savannah and I went for a walk when the weather was nice, and we had such a lovely time just wandering around our village 🥰. It really is these little moments which become the big moments when you look back on them isn’t it ❤️. She’s at such a lovely age now and always tells me she loves me, and gives me hugs and kisses 😘. I wish they would stay this little forever. . The dress she’s wearing is one of Delilah’s old ones, they had a matching one but obviously Savannah outgrew hers a long time ago haha 😂 . Savannah asked me to wear it the other day. I couldn’t say no could I 🥰. I’ll have to find some of Delilah’s old handmade stuff so Savannah can get wear out of it 👍

🐰 Easter Bunny trail 🐰 . Today we went on the Easter bunny trail at @kent_life_farm . The girls found the clues on the nature trail so they could meet the Easter bunny. The girls loved going on the nature trail to find all the clues along the way. When we did meet the Easter bunny 🐰, Savannah was a bit scared and would only stay in my arms, but then she was a bit more brave to stand with Delilah. I couldn’t believe it, but Delilah loved seeing the Easter bunny and she gave it the biggest hug ever 🤗. . As this was at the farm, we saw all the animals and the girls got to feed them and stroke them. Savannah loved petting the baby lambs. Then Delilah had her face painted, they made bunny ears Easter bonnets and took part in the Easter parade. They also played in the parks and loved bouncing on the bouncy castle too. It was such a fun day out for them. 🥚 Easter Nest Trail 🥚 . Today we went to Leeds Castle with the girls and did the Easter nest trail. The girls had fun running around the grounds and looking for the eggs. There were six birds nests to find where they had to solve the clues, say how many eggs were in the nest and say which type of bird lived in that nest. At the end they got their chocolate treats too 🍫. We haven’t been there before, but it’s such a lovely place for a family day out. I’ll post some other photos of our trip another day 🥰. . Tomorrow we’ve got another family day out planned and hopefully the Easter bunny will be there.
