So things are really tough for me right now furreinds. The aftermath of the three nights of sky bangs has taken its toll on me. I can’t settle. I don’t want cuddles. I am hiding in my crate most of the day. I can’t sleep through the night. I am on edge for every single noise. The humans haven’t seen me out of crate once darkness hits any evening this week.😭 This is the reality of what fireworks do to animals. We really really wish there was more understanding around this so the powers that be would put legislation around them. We want it easier to manage. Easier to prepare. If there was not three full nights (for five hours at a time) of the bangs, I wouldn’t be suffering how I am now. The last night of them was just too much for me to bear and I was already so heavily medicated I couldn’t stand properly. It’s truly heartbreaking to watch someone you love going through this. 💔 Send me all your well wishes and please pray that we don’t get another round of them this weekend (we are aware of Diwali too so we haven’t stopped the additional meds just yet) Edit: we haven’t had any actual fireworks since Sunday. Random Fireworks on a Beach Obscured by Trees will be released on Friday January 15th. The songs on our new album are a mixed bag. Some were written recently, while others the band has been playing live for a few years. We had a bit of time on our hands in 2020, which we used to record all of these songs. We noticed some are more pop, some are more Americana and some are more Rock ‘n’ Roll. They all flow together nicely in a seemingly random way.
