So things are really tough for me right now furreinds. The aftermath of the three nights of sky bangs has taken its toll on me. I can’t settle. I don’t want cuddles. I am hiding in my crate most of the day. I can’t sleep through the night. I am on edge for every single noise. The humans haven’t seen me out of crate once darkness hits any evening this week.😭 This is the reality of what fireworks do to animals. We really really wish there was more understanding around this so the powers that be would put legislation around them. We want it easier to manage. Easier to prepare. If there was not three full nights (for five hours at a time) of the bangs, I wouldn’t be suffering how I am now. The last night of them was just too much for me to bear and I was already so heavily medicated I couldn’t stand properly. That means that this week is going to be crazy trying to focus on work while trying to prepare for next weekend’s holiday travel, and still trying to keep up with my workout schedule that had to be put to the side while I went to see my family this past weekend. Looking at the Champion for Training level at Adult Amateur show with a 73.966% and a pair that earned our first Training Level score for regional championships!!! I learned so much about what I’m capable of, what I still need to learn and that I have the most talented horse who at 5 years old showed for three days with very little complaint (well a few moments of resistance).
