Each of the 10 masts feature a large storyboard depicting aspects of native culture and history. Below the Saamis Tepee in scenic Seven Persons coulee lays the Saamis Archaeological Site, one of the most important archaeological sites of the Northern Plains. The area was once a buffalo camp and meat processing site, and experts believe over 83 million artifacts are buried at the site. The Saamis Tepee is located on the Trans-Canada Highway next to Tourism Medicine Hat. So this is a cool story that most people don’t know about. In Calgary Alberta Canada there is a Phillips 66 cowboy standing at the Calgary Tunneling and horizontal auguring business. He is an original Phillips 66 cowboy and was purchased directly from a Phillips 66 station back in the late 60s at the end of the cowboy program. He was one of the few cowboys that were actually ordered with the six gun on his hip. A businessman from Edmonton came down and purchased the cowboy and moved him to Canada. The man owned a mobile home business and the giant stood there until it closed around 1999. The cowboy was then moved to the owners farm until it was purchased by the current business. The giant was then given a brand new paint job and set up and also given a giant shovel to hold.
