Who else uses the term "ennui?" I know a few of my fellow Gilmore Girl fans will get this!! First, Marmee. Because she is wise and wonderful. Momentum + forward motion are essential for our health and happiness. But second, Michel from Gilmore Girls! (Don't you love him??) He says he has ennui in an episode. (Can you hear him say it in his French accent?) Then he tells Sookie, so of course she thinks she has ennui. When she snaps out of it, she realizes she's just fine. Oi Leitores! Ontem eu acabei não conseguindo postar o post, mas hoje ele já está entre nós! A resenha de hoje é de um livro que eu finalizei recentemente: "Mil vezes amor" - Autora: Lynn Painter Classificação: +12, Gênero: Romance, young adult, comédia romântica. Nota: 4 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Eu terminei esse livro super rapidinho porque a escrita da Lynn é bem leve e tranquila de ler, porém alguns pontos dessa história me incomodaram bastante. 📚 Primeiro, eu achei que tudo nesse livro aconteceu super rápido, eu tinha a sensação enquanto estava lendo de que nada era desenvolvido direito, tudo acontecia rápido e basicamente sem explicação ou nenhum "peso". A protagonista, a Emily Hornby é interessante, mas é como se ela não tivesse nenhum background, a gente não sabe quase nada sobre ela, oque dificultou eu me conectar com a personagem, a única parte que me fez gostar mais da Emmie foi a relação dela com a família, já que seus pais são divorciados e eu gostei da forma como a autora não romantizou a vida de uma família que enfrenta esse problema, porém até essa parte que podia ter tido um desenvolvido muito bom, simplesmente foi apressadamente resolvida ao longo do livro! 💝 Outra coisa esquisita pra mim é a "obsessão" da protagonista por listas, é tão exagerado que literalmente uma das tarefas da lista dela é dizer "Eu te amo" pela primeira vez ao namorado dela, que inclusive é um grande babaca! Eu sei que essa parte era pra ser uma falha que a personagem iria aprender a superar ao longo da narrativa mas até isso é mal desenvolvido, porque literalmente DO NADA, ela decide deixar de ser uma garota certinha e obcecada por listas, para ser uma garota rebelde, que pega o carro do pai sem permissão, faz uma tatuagem e vive loucamente! 💋💌 O Romance é até que bem fofo e com química, ele foi inclusive inspirado no casal Rory Gilmore e Jess Mariano da série Gilmore girls, que inclusive é uma das minhas séries favoritas! Nick e Emily era um casal com muito potencial pra um desenvolvimento tão corrido, o "Enemies to lovers" entre eles não dura nem umas 100 páginas e eles literalmente passam de "conhecidos que não se suportam" para "Eu te amo" em uma noite! 👀💖

A literary trope is a common thread that you’ll see in certain genres and subgenres of fiction. Romance tropes are the lifeblood of romance. The heartbeat of what makes romance novels (or movies/tv shows) feel like cozy sweaters you want to snuggle into while sipping hot mugs of tea in front of a roaring fire.
