Bacon wrapped chicken Diablo bites using the new Honey BBQ sauce from @headcountrybbq • • I love making these scrumptious bites but this time I used #headcountryhoney bbq sauce! • 1 pound of hickory smoked bacon 1 pound of chicken tenders 1 pound of jalapeños (seeds removed, cut in half and then cut again) Toothpicks 1 bottle of Head Country Honey BBQ Sauce Garlic salt with parsley and pepper for seasoning (optional) • Once the jalapeños are seeded and cut, cut the chicken tenders into 1/4 inch pieces. If you’d like to (I did this!) I tossed the chicken into a bowl with garlic powder salt and pepper. Cut the bacon strips in half and set aside. Place a piece of chicken into a piece of the jalapeño and wrap with bacon then secure with toothpick. Boozy brisket chili made with my favorite @konabrewingco ale 🌊 This weather is the best for chili and I wanted to kick this one up a couple of notches by 1, adding brisket and 2, adding Big Wave golden ale from @konabrewingco 🤙🏽 The crockpot did most of the work and @rudysbbq cooked the brisket for me. See the ingredients below for the recipe! 🥣 2 cans Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies 2 cans black kidney beans 1/2 diced white onion 4 diced cloves of garlic 1.5 pounds of brisket 1 pound of ground beef 1/2 bottle of Big Wave Golden Ale -Brown ground beef, then sauté the white onion until translucent and add garlic. Cook until lightly brown and strain all that grease out. Place beef, tomatoes, beans, brisket and beef into the crockpot and cook on high until beans are tender. Tis the season to bake cookies Fa La La La La 🎄❤️ • • Butterscotch oatmeal cookies for the win! I’ve shared these bad boys before, such an easy cookie to bake! What’s your favorite type of cookie? • • 1 1/2 cups of flour 1 cup shortening (Crisco) 2 cups quick oats 3/4 brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar 2 eggs (beaten) 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon hot water 12 oz package of butterscotch morsels • • Cream the shortening, brown sugar and white sugar in a mixer. Add the beaten eggs, hot water and vanilla. Once mixed, add flour and baking soda. Finally, mix in the oats and morsels. Grab handfuls of dough and place them on a greased cookie sheet. Since @central_market decided not to bake these this year, I put my Martha Stewart hat on and went to town. Here’s my Pumpkin Pecan Pie 🥧 • Pumpkin Pie Layer * 1 cup pumpkin puree * 1 large egg * ⅓ cup sugar * 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice Mix all ingredients and pour into your pie crust. I chose pre made. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour Pecan Pie Layer * 2 large eggs * ⅔ cup dark corn syrup * ½ cup sugar * 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted) * ½ teaspoon vanilla extract * 1 cup pecan halves • Remove from fridge and then add the pecan pie layer. Extra tastiness if you use pecans from your grandma’s pecan tree like I did. Bake for 60 mins at 350 degrees. My husband and I were invited to a beautiful location for a wedding last weekend and it was stunning! ✨ Dubbed a historical site, @sisterdaledancehall was so gorgeous and the perfect place to see our friends get married.
