Unlike Sichuan food which is ้บป่พฃ or numbing and fiery in nature, Hunan cuisine is bright and punchy with the abundant use of green chilli pepper (note the resto's brand ID colour ๐). . Like the < Hunan-Style Fried Pork, $22.90 > - a crowd favourite of moist and tender slivers of Iberico black pork and heaping green pepper stir-fried with aromatic 'wok-hei'. The signature platter served on a lighted food warmer, is huuggeee ! Lest you think it's chilli hot, it's not. The green pepper adds a mildly spicy touch to give a moreish and addicting kick to the dish. . A unique Hunan dish to try is the < Century Egg with Green Pepper, $11.90 >. The wait-staff will grind the ingredients in a pitcher bowl front of you, serving it 'as is'. Interesting that this is a dish by itself and very popular too, tho' it may be an acquired taste for some. The < Steamed Wu Chang Rice, $6.90 > deserves a separate mention. But man, the premium Heilongjiang rice is sweet and fluffy, cooked to perfection using bottled pure drinking water. [Moxie] this Mediterranean restaurant caught my attention, thereโs a private entrance leading up to the restaurant and another door leading to the main dining area. Interior was stunning, cozy dim lights perfect for chill dinner out with friends family or dates! Umami Rice ($46) Combinations of seafood in one plate, i lovee! Huge tiger prawns, shellfish bisque, squid, mussels and last but not least matsu rice. The rice almost has similar consistency with risotto, and the seafood taste is quite strong so the rice definitely balance out everything! Moxie Dip Platter with 4 dips ($32) To start off our dinner, we tried their dip platter with freshly baked pita and sourdough. Had it with 4 dips, it includes hummus, roasted smashed kabocha, spinach yoghurt, and a creamy whipped ricotta with sun dried tomatoes and herb oil. We had to order more pita bread in the end๐ซข Eggplant Carpaccio ($18) Very interesting combination, eggplant was so soft and a hint of lemon and pomegranate pair well together. Personally wasnโt my favourite dish but it was not bad.. Spiced Corn Ribs ($16) This is surprisingly good! The flavourful corn seasoned with cumin aioli, feta crumbs and chopped herbs to top it all off. Best enjoyed with hands they say another main dish we had was this Arugula Pesto Orecchiette ($38) it is a huge portion, so recommend to share 3-4 ppl! Rock shrimp, crab, scallop and pasta work perfectly and parmesan shavings on top enhance the flavour even more. Spanish Salt Croquettes ($21) This croquettes were good too, itโs crispy on the outside yet very creamy inside. It has a balance flavour, unlike its name, this Spanish salt croquettes were not overly salty! Dessert!! We had Dark Chocolate Mousse ($16) hazelnut flavour and berries compote ๐ฅน plus the bittersweet mousse was so good and Moxie Mille-Feuille ($19) a layer of cream cheese and strawberries sandwiched between 2 layers of pastry was ๐ฏ we also had cheese platter which i didnโt take any pic cause we were too excited to eat haha Overall food experience was unique and good!

Sakura season is TEMPURA-ry so UDON wanna miss out on this seasonal special @tempuramakinosg ๐ธ Taste the season with the Sakura Petals to Platter Set [$25++] @tempuramakinosg which includes Sakura Ebi Kakiage Platter with mentai cream dip, Cherry Tororo Himokawa Udon, mentsuyu (udon sauce) and grated mountain yam ๐ธ๐ค๐ @tempuramakinosg is known for their "Tsudoage" style with tempura that's made-to-order and the Sakura Ebi Kakiage Platter features 6๏ธโฃ handcrafted tempura items: sakura ebi kakiage, prawn, asparagus, eggplant, vine tomato and sakura denbu enoki! I particularly enjoyed the ebi kakiage which features a mix of sakura ebi, edamame, corn & Japanese parsley. The different ingredients had complementary textures & flavours and taste delicious when enjoyed together! In fact, all the tempura items are well-executed with their light batter that showcases the quality of the ingredients! It's great that they're aren't too greasy too! Best enjoyed with the mentai cream dip on the side! ๐ Served up alongside the tempura platter is the Cherry Tororo Himokawa Udon which comes in a pretty pastel pink shade reminiscent of pink sakura flowers! ๐ธ Didn't get the chance to try this style of udon when I was in Japan last month so I'm quite glad that I finally got to try it here at @tempuramakinosg! ๐ฅฐ The udon has a unique flat shape and is silky and chewy, albeit a bit clumpy at parts. To elevate the flavours of the udon, pour the grated mountain yam, spring onion & wasabi into the mentsuyu sauce, mix well and dip the udon sheet by silky sheet into the sauce. Umai!!! ๐คค My only wish is that the serving portion for the udon was larger as I had run out of udon before finishing my tempura ๐ The sakura menu is available till 30th May so try it before it ends!
