A little strenuous but not too overly, its 100 percent worth the view after a steady climb (unless your our pooch that literally tried to run up 😅) only downside is we never catch it on a sunny clear day but if this is what it's like a day like this then I can't wait to see it basking with sun and clear blue sky! On way home we diverted to a favourite of ours to @twothirdsbeerco on abbeydale road for their gorgeous schnitzel burger, (hot dog for me!) and them loaded schnitzel fries which are a must! Hope everyone had a slice bank holiday 😆🍕🫶 . . We certainly did, enjoying a bank holiday Monday trip to @wearerudyspizza on division street for a family pizza party (aka me, D, baby and doggo having a rare trip out for food) . . Rudy’s really needs no introduction. Since opening in Sheffield it has really established itself as an important player in the Sheffield pizza scene. And we enjoyed it as much as ever. I really love the soft, slightly chewy dough that rudy’s serve and always enjoy the rotating specials on the menu! And the pizzas are HUGE, much bigger than other local spots. . . We went for the Tarantina off the regular menu with an extra burrata on the top (so decadent! And only £3.50 for a whole burrata) 🍕🧀 And the second pizza we shared was a special one called the ‘Caprini’ which is San mazarno toms, fior di latte, goats cheese, sun dried tomatoes and toasted pine nuts. This one went amazingly well with the rudys signature chilli honey dip! 🌶️ 🍯 please make this a regular!!! From the specials drink menu I went for a morello cherry sour mocktail which was divine! 🍒 . . A super evening! The team made sure we had enough space with baby and doggo, came and gave Bonnie some cuddles, and were very attentive and helpful. Grazie grazie grazie!

A taster of the new summer menu at The Maynard 🍴✨ Last week I was kindly invited to try a couple of dishes from the new menu at @themaynardgrindleford and it was a lovely evening, as always! To start, I had the pistachio crusted mackerel which I was intrigued to try and was definitely not disappointed. Followed by pan fried duck breast with sweet potato and pak choi. 🍝 Only got eyes for pasta 🍝 . A self confessed pasta queen 👸 This is the Boscaiola pasta from Grazie. Which is mafalda pasta ribbons 🎀 (my fave type of pasta!) served with wild mushrooms, Italian fennel sausage, touch of cream, stracciatella cheese, truffle oil, parsley and chilli. Certainly a good looking dish… . However honest review and probably an unpopular opinion but I found this dish bland and not seasoned well enough, not served hot enough, and the pasta too al dente. 😬🫣 maybe I ordered wrong? I tasted no truffle, no chilli, not enough salt and pep, not much fennel… disappointing flavours. . . What do you guys recommend at grazie? I’ve been three times now and the past two times I’ve been sorely disappointed. Must say the pistachio tiramisu has been the saving grace for me on both of my last visits so I’d say that is a must order. Plus side the wine is also delicious! . . Service was great, the restaurant is beautiful but it’s just not the Italian restaurant for me. A shame as I know it’s so widely loved and gets glowing reviews. As they hadn’t opened fully, there was a short wait of about 10mins for the table as we hadn’t booked but as the food looked amazing it didn’t bother us. The houmous and flatbread appetiser was really good especially the bread, definitely homemade (fooled us if not 😂) Both the pork and chicken souvlaki’s were soo tasty and fresh and then we had a side of halloumi fries which were cooked in honey and lemon juice which were very more-ish! Our little one had the kids meal which was a kids main, side, drink and dessert for £7.50! @panenka_sheffield We booked in at Panenka for the bottomless brunch, this was around 6pm so don’t be deterred by the ‘brunch’ bit. On arrival, the drinks started straight away and a Top Tip is to both order the same drinks to make things easier/quicker 😉 you also get a glass of Prosecco with the first round. Food order was taken pretty much straight away too. The korean chicken bites were great and just enough when drinking! Drinks flowed really well and we were never waiting as they took the order before we finished our last. Really good atmosphere, good music and sports on in the background, win win for us! I went for this chonky number… a mocha millionaires slice. Hands down the best millionaires slice I’ve EVER and probably will ever have. Fudgy dark choc layer, thicccc caramel and a lovely crumbly biscuit base, with the subtle coffee flavour bringing it all together wonderfully. . Too good to share… I scoffed it myself over two sittings 😍 just as good the next day! . . Top marks, 10/10. Which wonderful baking team made this?! Wouldn’t be a Sunday if your feed wasn’t full of roast dinners! 🥘 . . After hearing great things we headed to @silversmiths_restaurant to try their roast options! The place was very busy (always a good sign) and I can confirm they do an excellent roast. . . I went for the Wortley wagyu beef (pictured) at £20 and hubs went for leg of lamb (£22). Both meats were perfectly cooked, although the lamb took the winning medal for me today! . . All the roasts are served with a massive yorkie pud, seasonal veg, mash, roasties, creamy leeks, and cauli cheese and gravy! (As greedy piggies we ordered an extra side portion of cauli cheese for £3) I was v impressed with the variety of options but for me I’d have liked another green veg eg tenderstem broccoli, and all the veg was lukewarm rather than piping hot. But it was seasoned lovely nonetheless. Would have been full marks for me if a little hotter! . . Gravy comes served on the plate - not to everyone’s preference but this suited me fine and there was plenty of it! All in all a solid 8.5/10 from me

It’s Friday and I’m in love…with @broadfieldalehouse sandwiches 🥪 . . Post dog walk we popped in to the broadfield today for a late afternoon sarnie. Their dirty Reuben sandwich is absolute heaven…beef brisket, Emmental cheese and pickles served with their signature chunky chips (or skinny fries) and a side salad. It’s huge!!! And the beef brisket is so tasty and melt in the mouth. . . It costs 8.50 and you can add a house wine or true north ale for £1.50! Which is an absolute steal. All their sarnies are included in the tenner deal up to 5pm every day except Sunday. . . Utter bargain. Utter perfection. Not many places you can get absolutely stuffed and have a vino for a tenner nowadays!

We were seated immediately on arrival after booking the table online, the person that served us was attentive and approached at the right time. The food and drinks didn’t take long at all even though it was fairly busy for a Thursday night. The bhaji tacos were class👌the pork belly one was a little chewy but the pineapple salsa was a great addition. Crack fries were standard fries with some nice seasoning on and aioli on the side and the tater tots were little pockets of perfection. These were free sides for the ‘Taco Thursday’ offer they had on. Chicken tenders were very tender and good seasoning but the showstopper was the buffalo chicken sando, the chicken was mouth wateringly tender and the combination of the blue cheese aioli and buffalo sauce was unreal 🤤 writing this makes me want another. Well, yesterday we visited their other regular pop-up which is held each Wednesday at the @mount_pleasant_inn up on Derbyshire Lane near Graves Park 🌳 . The pub has plenty of outdoor seating for the warmer months and is family/dog friendly inside too. My girl has been dreaming of @newyorkshirepizza cheesy garlic bread since we first had it… and so have I to be honest! It’s by far the best garlic bread! Their pizzas too are honestly up there in the best that Sheffield has to offer and I’m obsessed with their unique flavours. Their jerk chicken really hit the spot last night… it was delicious and had the fire that I look for so often in pizzas but finish feeling disappointed by the lack of heat! Recently we visited Chakra lounge in town after kindly being sent a voucher by the owners as a valentines gift 💝 Chakra lounge is a welcome breath of fresh air and a unique cafe offering lovely Indian inspired meals and even breakfasts and brunches with an Indian twist. . . We visited at lunch time and shared one of their vegetarian thali plates and a samosa chaat, washed down with a matcha latte and a masala chai. Not pictured is the lovely bakewell tart we took home for dessert that evening! All the food was delicious, fresh, colourful and with a lovely spicy kick. The kidney bean curry was absolutely amazing and a must try if you visit! . . Chakra lounge also have a pay it forward coffee scheme so you can pay for someone in need to have a hot drink 🩷🩷 Their drink selections are great and there’s a lovely pastry counter - so worth a visit just for a cuppa and cake 🧁 . . *partially gifted
Went to @gigiscucina for tea last week, their 50% off pizza & pasta deal is an absolute steal!! Me and my friend shared fresh bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and homemade red onion chutney (which was SO nice). Then for mains we each got a pasta, I went for a classic arrabiatta 🍝 this wasn’t on the menu but I really fancied it and they were more than happy to make it for me. when i tell you this is one of the best pizzas i’ve ever had…. i need @wearerudyspizza vegan lamb recipe NOW 😭 this was our first time trying rudy’s as we didn’t realise they had vegan options, danny went for his usual mushroom pizza and also loved it but my dayssss i got the ‘agnello vegana’ which is vg lamb, garlic broc, kalamata olives & basil cheese sauce and i added chilli flakes and it was so so peng. going back 5000 more times for this pizza pls never take it off your menu thank u rudy’s ! also we want vegan desserts pls thank u
Oodles of noodles 🍜 Ad - INVITE . . On Saturday night we popped down to @oodles_chinese on London Road to try some of their grub! After hearing some mixed reviews we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, service was fairly quick (c 10 min wait), and my chilli cod and paneer were both freshly cooked 👍 . . We both got a large box with udon noodles and veg rice, and D topped his with Szechuan beef and I opted for the special chilli cod and paneer. The paneer was firm and tasty and the chilli cod bites really surprised me. They were crispy on the outside with tender flaky cod and had a fiery kick! In fact the whole box was spicy 🌶️ - much hotter than I expected! The chilli cod bites were the absolute highlight for me. . . For £10-£12 the large boxes are big portions (I ate mine over two sittings) and there’s lots of options to choose from, it’s a bit like a subway for ‘Chinese’ food where you build your box from different columns of options. I felt like the noodles were cooked well and the veg had a bite to it - it wasn’t over cooked. . . We also took two pots of @yeekwan_icecream home with us. Toasted coconut is one of my faves but we also tried the dragon fruit sorbet which is a year of the dragon special 🐉 it was vibrant pink and a lovely twist on traditional sorbet flavours. You can never go wrong with Yee Kwan, so it’s nice to see it stocked in a fast food place! . . This isn’t gourmet Chinese/Asian food but it’s a good option for when you’re hungry/on the go or to mop up the drink on a night out! We opted to take our food home with us but there are a few tables inside for you to eat in. . . Overall thoughts: Cheap and cheerful ‘Chinese’ food ✅🍜

We all agreed that their cheese topped garlic bread was the best we’ve ever had.. the garlic was so fresh and perfectly topped with just the right amount of mozzarella… absolute heaven for us garlic bread fiends! 🤤 . Now that’s what I call great pub grub 🍽️🍻 📍@thescotsmanspack , Hathersage . . A few weeks ago we went for a walk around Burbage and headed for lunch afterwards at The Scotsman’s Pack. It was a brilliant decision - a really fantastic midweek lunch. . . 🥧D had the Scotsman’s steak and ale pie, which came with perfectly cooked chunky chips and crisp tenderstem brocolli, plus delicious gravy! £17 . 🥪 I had the fish finger sandwich and soup. The homemade tartare sauce was incredible - so tangy!! Adding a soup to come with your sandwich is a deal I recommend - really reasonably priced. (£9 sandwich and £1.50 to add soup) You can also add chips but I just stole some of Dans 😜 . 🍮 star of the show was the sticky toffee pudding, it was stunning!!! Swimming in butterscotch sauce and served with rum and raisin ice cream it was bloody gorgeous 😍😍 . . Definitely check out the Scotsman’s pack next time you’re looking for a country pub! While we were away we sent our pals Marie and John and their trusted taste buds to try it out! Their review - John had the beef pie and crumble, I had the vegan pie and brownie. The pies are so so tasty and the mash potato was to die for. The vegan pie even came with vegan mash and gravy and tasted equally yummy. We would highly recommend trying them. We had been craving a good pie and mash for ages and this really hit the spot. John was very protective over his crème brulé crumble (even after eating half my pie) and said it was delicious. There were a few brownies to choose from, I went for double chocolate and it was perfect and squidgy just how I like them. S17 is planning to take their pies to the streets at markets like Peddler, they are for hire for weddings and events, and honestly, the world needs this goodness in their lives! The chocolate chunks gave it pain au chocolat vibes; and served with gorgeous raspberry jam and plenty of butter it was a real treat. And an absolute bargain at £2!!!! We love a deal that’s a steal 🤩 . . Hot cross bun season is here! It’s my fave because it means spring is almost here 😍😍 where else does great hot X Buns?! . . Their beef rendang was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, one of the best curries we have ever tried! The sharing platter was perfect for trying a bit of everything. The chicken satay and sambal squid were particular highlights and the fried chicken was so juicy. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area for some authentic Malaysian cuisine! Wingin it’ 🐔 📍@dukes_inthepark , Norfolk park . . My sister and I popped to Dukes in the park at Norfolk park today for lunch! Both of our first times trying this cafe and we were impressed! Prices are reasonable and portions are great too. . . 🍗 My sister had chicken wings with hoisin and siracha sauce served with a satay slaw. This was off the specials menu and only £6 for a massive plate of wings - really good value! Only comment would be that more sauce was required (maybe a pot for dipping?) - but the flavours were great! . . 🍅 I had soup of the day which was tomato, basil and Brie served with granary bread from @rosesthebakers! This was also £6 and a lovely little soup! You can’t go far wrong with a homemade soup - especially on gloomy days like today. . . For dessert we shared a chonky piece of rocky road. . . All this with an iced latte and an orange juice came to around £21 😃☺️ I will definitely be back soon - I want to sample the breakfast menu, and the afternoon tea also looked amazing!

📍The School Rooms, Low Bradfield @theschoolrooms2011 We visited the school rooms for the 3rd time but this was our first time trying their afternoon tea. The presentation was really nice and it came served on a two tier black slate stand. Allowing you to be able to see and access everything. You get the option to have tea or coffee with the afternoon tea or you can upgrade for a fee to a glass of Prosecco 🥂 First thing we noticed was the generous portion size of the sandwiches and the taste didn’t disappoint either with the cheese and caramelised onion chutney being our fave! The quiche was also a decent size and very tasty. The only thing I would say was the scones were slightly dry and didn’t really end up eating them. Also it would have been nice to be able to choose your own type of cake from the options available as this was already chosen for you. 🥩🍟🍔@brewskirestaurants 🍔🍟🥩 📍West One Plaza, Sheffield City Centre. A meal of mixed opinions at Brewski This place wows with big flavours and portions and is a real comfort food treat. The massive grazing boards are something of legend, and they also serve up loaded fries, poutine, burgers, burritos and tacos. I couldn't help but wonder if things have slipped a little recently as the food was still great but I felt it had a lack of care and attention in places. 🧀🥩 We chose nachos to start that sounded incredible. Pulled beef , with a boursin sauce and n'duja. It was served in a small chipped bowl, the pulled beef was nice but the nachos were nothing to write home about and the n'duja and boursin was absent. Instead a regular tasting cheese sauce was under the meat. 🥩🧄🦐🍟for the main I chose steak loaded garlic butter fries with prawns. The steak and prawns was perfect and the garlic fries were delicious but so salty I couldn't eat many at all- and I'm a person that likes salt. 🍔🍟James ordered The Bear burger with bacon and this was absolutely delicious. Charred juicy burgers were spot on and I can honestly say this is the best burger either of us have tasted in a while. 🧀James also ordered the Mac and cheese side which was fantastic with a smoked cheese flavour coming through. Service was great and feedback was politely given. 🥐 Bon appetit 🥐 📍@bonsheffield , Broomhill . . This weekend @forever.fernweh and I met up for one of our coffee and brunch dates - this time with a month old bebe in tow ☺️👶💘 . . We decided to head to Bon in Broomhill - a cafe we have both been enjoying over recent months, and we both wanted to try their newly launched French inspired food menu! There was a lot to choose from on the menu, and I’m normally a savoury girl but decided to go sweet this time! . . I went for the rhubarb and custard croissant French toast with a London fog (earl grey latte) and @forever.fernweh went for a pan fried duck and Brie baguette from the specials with a creme-brûlatte! . . I loved the flavours of the tart rhubarb with the sweet Cardamom custard and also the crunchy caramel pumpkin brittle but I have to be honest that I thought the croissant French toast itself was too well done/overcooked (verging on burnt?). I think I’d just prefer a classic French toast on brioche bread! So probably a 7/10 for me. Adele seemed to really enjoy the duck and Brie baguette, which was a hefty size and looked packed with filling! . . Next time I’ll stick to my savoury guns and probably go for the tagine baked eggs which looked amazing! And of course I’ll save room for dessert - there’s always a cabinet stocked with sweet goodies! . . Prices: c.£10-£13 for a brunch dish 🌱 Veggie and vegan options available 🐕🦺 Dog friendly 👶 baby/kid friendly with high chairs available and changing facilities but limited pram space (I had to hold baby) . . Overall a great new addition to Broomhill! And the space is lovely - so light and bright with really helpful staff ☺️

☕️🍪🥣🪴Garden Kitchen☕️🍪🥣 🪴 We have visited this cafe regularly since last year but usually just post to stories! 🙈 But having been multiple times for food & drink, we thought we would finally share it! (Sorry it took so long 👀!!) The food is vegetarian & vegan 🌱 but mainly vegan. They recently changed chefs and updated the hot food menu to reflect it. It’s now cooked up by a 2 lovely chefs who have worked at a Mexican restaurant in the past. We had a nice chat at the start of the month and they are still keeping some of the old favourites in the salad & savoury/cake cabinet. 😊 We popped in last Friday and had some lovely food & hot drinks in their gorgeous handmade crockery 😍made by @hello.mr.ben In particular the matcha 🍵 by @blendsmiths was the best I have ever drunk so smooth & creamy and a hint of sweetness with a dash of cinnamon too. We will be getting some for at home. 🏡 The food is lovely too, the soup is always homemade and fresh, a generous bowl with ‘buttered’ toast fills me up without being too heavy. They use flora butter by default so you don’t have to worry about being given dairy butter 🧈 accidentally and it seems like its more vegan food focussed then previously perhaps? My favourite salad is the the miso potatoes with the vegan quiche! 😋 My friend had the hendersons jackfruit wrap which she really enjoyed and was well made and hot/toasted & wrapped with lots of filling inside. We will definitely be going back here, they do takeaway or eat-in 🍽️ They’re currently open on weekdays 11-3 and Saturdays 12-4 again! On Friday we headed out for our first mini adventure as a family - which admittedly was just a walk down the road for coffee, but it felt great to get out and about and do something ‘normal’. Feeling lucky to have super friendly local coffee shops to take baby to ☺️ . . We both went for a mocha which was HUGE and shared a slice of the most delectable little cake! It was banana cake with candied fruit and a caramel type topping. Bloody delicious and I’ll pretend healthy 😉 . . In terms of pram friendliness, it’s a bit of a squeeze but we made room and felt very welcome with a newborn. Also the playlist was top notch 🎶 . . ZAAP THAI STREET FOOD, SHEFFIELD We’ve had the pleasure of trying food from @zaap_thai_streetfood a few times now, and we recently headed over with a lovely group to celebrate a good pals birthday. We shared the Khanom Pang Na Gai (chicken toast) and Gra Dook Moo ZAAP (braised ribs) to start, which we really enjoyed. The portions were generous and both dishes were delicious. For mains we had a winter special Gang Supparod Phed (Thai red curry with duck, pineapple and tomato) and the Gai Yang Ko Rat (roasted half chicken) served with fluffy rice and a couple of sauces. We couldn’t fault either dish, and again the portions were pretty sizeable! We had a fabulous time at Zaap, the food was brilliant and the staff were super welcoming. As well as sitting in, Zaap also offer delivery. Scones are my jam 🍓 . . In todays instalment of the never-ending wait for baby… we baked some fruit scones! . . We used the @jamieoliver recipe from Jamie’s Great Britain 🇬🇧 cookbook - and it made us 17 perfectly lovely crumbly scones! So we’ve stashed some of the dough in the freezer for later and baked some glorious scones for the next few days. . . The only difference in method was I soaked the dried fruit in tea rather than orange juice, which worked well! I would have loved slightly more of a rise but maybe I overworked the dough a tad. . . Either way pretty happy with the outcome! Served with clotted cream and @bonnemaman_uk wild strawberry jam 🥰 Who says scones are just for summer time? A lovely treat on a grey day

I was meeting my sister today for brunch and craving pancakes, so I saw this offer at the perfect time! . . I had American style pancakes with blueberries, lashings of maple syrup, caramelised bananas and ricotta - DELICIOUS! hit the spot so well 🥞🫐🍌🍁 . . My sis had the eggs royale with keto caviar and a dill hollondaise. Sadly one of the poached eggs was overdone and not runny at all- but she said the dish was super tasty anyway! . . We both had a lovely decaf cappuccino. With the discount the bill came to £18 for the two of us including service. What a steal 🤩🤩 I asked about the offer and it is available to advance bookings - so just make sure to book your table online ☺️💕 . . The brunch menu is small but perfectly formed, with vegan options available. And for these prices I’d highly recommend a visit to Sienna if you’re in Meadowhall over Jan! . . Our local @emberinns has quickly become something of a go-to for us. We visit maybe once a week for a meal. My mission this week to distract myself while I (impatiently) wait for my overdue baby to arrive, is to keep myself fuelled up on delicious treats and decaf coffees at cafes I’ve never visited before or haven’t been to for a looooooong time! . . First up today was a trip to @lisboapatisserie after a dog walk on the Bole Hills. We went for a matching order of a pastel de nata each and a Portuguese coffee! The natas were still warm, super fresh flaky pastry and the eggy custard filling was divine. D said the Portuguese Galao coffee was his fave coffee he’s had in a long time - super milky and creamy with a lovely froth, and served piping hot in a nice tall glass. We both felt so blissed out on our lil sofa and could have stayed there for hours if it wasn’t for a midwife appt! . . This was unbelievably my first time visiting Lisboa in crookes. I have been a fan of Lisboa for many years but Crookes is somewhere I don’t visit often so I hadn’t made it up to this cafe since their peace gardens shop closed. I didn’t realise how big the cafe is - and I do think it has an authentic Portuguese feel. We both said it reminded us of cafes we’ve frequented in Portugal and it got us itching for another trip to our fave holiday destination! . . Also cannot grumble at the bargain price of £8 for 2 coffees and 2 natas 💛💛💛💛 . . Dog friendly 🐶 Veggie/Vegan options 🌱 Menu is toasties or pastries (currently no hot meals/brunch dishes etc) 🥪🥐 Very reasonable prices 💶

You’re the loaf of my life 🍞🥰 . . No seriously, the Persian breakfast tea loaf from @southstreetkitchen is extraordinary. Served freshly baked (so warm 🥰) packed with figs, dried fruits, pistachio and nuts, with a generous side of homemade fig and date jam and cashew butter. Spread them on thick and savour the glorious flavours! . . This is more like the best fruit cake you’ll ever eat than a bread. It is a MUST order if you visit SSK! Whenever me and D go for brunch at SSK we like to order this to share as our “dessert” instead of a cake or other sweet treat - and I’d highly recommend you do the same!! . . £6.80 and worth every penny. If I could eat it every day for breakfast I would 😍😍
@templeof.fun in Sheffield ⛪️ Attended Church last year for their Sunday Service 🧎🏼♀️🙏🏻we’ve visited many times before and always loved it but this was our first time for the roast! We ordered a Beef Wellington with all the trimmings, a fairground hot dog and shared some corn ribs, loaded satay waffle fries and chicken tenders (yes our eyes are always bigger than our belly’s!👀) The classic hot dog is delish and really satisfied a craving for a dirty dog! Now the roast was a real winner and is firmly one of our top vegan roasts we’ve tried! The pastry was perfectly flaky and the ‘beef’ filling was well seasoned and juicy! The accompanying veg and mash were lovely, just needs more gravy! Teeny down side; this is not our first or last Temple of Fun post and we usually love it! This time we were a tiny bit disappointed with our sides. The fries are always a solid go to but this time they tasted reheated and not super fresh, like the sauce had been sat and gone jelly like. Also the chick’n’ tenders just weren’t for us! Lots of people love seitan but we’ve yet to find one we get on with, otherwise the batter was flavourful and crisp! Aim & Hol xo
did you know @wagamama_uk has a vegan kids menu?? 🌱 anyone with vegan or veggie kids will know how much of a nightmare it is trying to find appropriate options - every kids menu is full of chicken nuggets and pizzas and fish fingers 😭 but wagas have loads of vg options - noodles, ramen, fried rice, or this katsu that we always try remy with. we know he’s realistically only gonna eat the rice but it’s worth a shot 🤷🏾♀️ love that it’s all fresh and healthy too, again so rare to find on kids menus 🥲🥕

Ending the year on a HIGH with a Boujie NYE lunch at Domo 🤩🤩 . . For our last meal out of 2023 (and possibly our last meal out without a baby!) we decided to celebrate and book in at @domo.restaurant for a late nye lunch. It’s been well over a year since I last went to Domo and I’m pleased to say it’s a good as ever. I can see why it’s become a Sheffield institution. . . I often order the exact same thing at domo so we decided to mix things up a little! We had: 🧀 skate wings and pecorino cheese fish cakes (6/10) 🦞 lobster Thermidor bruschetta (8/10) 🍝 carbonara de mare - a classic carbonara sauce made with swordfish, tuna steak and caviar! (10/10) 🦐 Fregola giant Sardinian couscous with seafood (8/10) - the sauce was so delicious but not a big enough couscous portion for Mr DC so a couple of points deducted 🍰 tarta della nonna with pistachio ice cream (8/10) 🍮 pistachio melt in the middle pudding (10/10) 🍍 pineapple mule mocktail (10/10) ☕️ americanos with dessert - boiling hot, just how I like my coffee!! . . All in all a really lovely and leisurely lunch- we didn’t feel rushed at all, despite the place being absolutely packed. Service was great and we so enjoyed our visit, we may well make it an annual New Year’s Eve tradition! . . Admittedly getting pricey at c.£100 for two including service - but it was so worth it for a wonderful occasion meal to toast the end to 2023 🥂🥂 and I’m absolutely stuffed now! . .
