Been running every single day for 5 weeks now. It's been such a rewarding experience. The world feels lighter around me. If you want to follow along, go follow my professional page @jordanocteauphysio I've committed to running a minimum of 20min a day, every single day. If I feel like running more, I run more. Every day means every day. I was sick, I ran. I was traveling 13hrs in a day, I ran. Today I got home at 1:30am, I ran. No excuses. A lot of people are curious about injury risk. I started with intervals of 1min of slow running and 1min of walking. Slowly built up to 2, then 3, then 4 then 5 min of running and 1min of walking. After that I switched over to 20+ min of running straight. I still do intervals if my knees/shins/ankles/feet bother me but it's mostly been fine. It's important to listen to your body and not just push through pain on running. Start gradual and build up slowly! I started doing this for me, simply to meet the minimum amount of cardio everyone should be doing (2.5hrs per week). I always struggled with cardio so I figured if I make it an every day thing, I have no excuses to skip. I continued posting about it because I received an overwhelming amount of support and requests to keep doing it since it's been motivating others...
