Want authentic Vietnamese food in Brum? Here’s where to find it 👀 I can’t tell you how much I’d been yearning for a revisit here, or how often I daydream about it, so recently I went to @eat_vietnam with my bestie. The specials board is always full of delights, with plenty of dishes for meat lovers and veggies. I normally opt for their peanut butter and marmite chicken wings 🤤 but swapped to their cauliflower version and it’s just as incredible. As a meat eater, I’m always impressed when the veggie offerings are just as good as the meaty options. We had: • Veg curry £17 (Pic 4) • Peanut Butter and Marmite Cauliflower ♥️ £9 (Pic 1 & 2) • Bun Chicken £18 (Pic 1) • Pork Belly ♥️ £12 (Pic 1 and 3) • Salt and Pepper Aubergine £8 (not pictured 🫣) The Pork Belly is a must order for me, it’s so juicy. I could probably have a plate of this quite happily on its own. Simple and insanely good. If you’re lucky enough to live within delivery radius, there’s deliveroo deals on during the week. 🕰️ Opening times are Tuesday-Thursday 5pm-9pm, Friday and Saturday 12-9pm. I’d recommend booking as it’s a well loved brummy fave. 🚗 There’s a small amount of spaces out front but more spaces on the side roads. 🚂 A short walk from Bournville Station So, to cut a long story short; If you don’t know, you need to know and if you do know, you’re probably overdue a revisit 🥢

💫 Tapas in Barcelona When researching the best places to eat and drink in Barcelona, we stumbled across this little place. It's called Bar Joan, and it's located in the Mercado De Santa Caterina (which seems like a more local market than La Boqueria) We ordered a couple of little bits, which was more than enough for the 2 of us and VERY decently priced. ☆ Patatas Bravas ☆ Cod in Garlic ☆ Spanish Meatballs in Tomato sauce ☆ Chorizo - this was possibly the best Chorizo we've had ☆ (not pictured) Pork Kebab ☆ Bread to dip (also not pictured) A Beer & a Sprite too was ordered as well and get this....The total came to €26 😮 26 flipping Euros! Big Sandwiches courtesy of @things_in_bread Finally took the plunge this weekend after months of saying I will drop in and went to the aptly named @things_in_bread which as the name suggests puts things… in bread. Now considering you can pick up a sandwich from nearly everywhere in the country we have a pretty large sample size to go off but this really was top drawer. If you say you put things in bread, you need to make sure you put good things in bread. Now personally I wasn’t sure what the ceiling of tuna mayo was but as it stands this tuna mayo is hands down the best I’ve ever had. As for the XL chicken & Bacon, well that does exactly what it says on the tin. • CLUB HOUSE COFFEE I’m always looking out for a good brunch spot that also offers speciality coffee and I found a corker in Shoreham @clubhousecoffees just off the high street which offers just this! • The coffee beans are @backyard.coffee so I already knew it was going to be a great tasting coffee but this was definitely up there with one of the best Flat Whites I’ve had so this is definitely added to my favourite coffees list! • We also had a fantastic Bacon, Halloumi and avocado toastie which I really enjoyed and the Tuna Jacket Potatoes were huge with generous portion sizes so would easily keep you full for a while! We ended our visit with some great cakes too… rainbow sponge cake and biscoff too which were perfectly paired with another outstanding coffee! • Big fan of this place and will definitely be back when I’m next in Shoreham! Once you’ve made them a couple of times you won’t even need to measure the ingredients - just throw it all in a bowl, give it a good mix and make the list delicious moist pancakes 😍 Love my pancake pan - I’d be lost without it! And here's another winner that lives up to the hype - the famous cube croissant from @ledelirobuchonlondon 🥐✨ While they offer a range of savoury deli meals (which I'd love to come back and try), they're best known for their iconic cube shaped pastry, and it absolutely did not disappoint! I went for their classic chocolate option which was stuffed with a surprising amount of silky, dark chocolate cream and topped with a bittersweet chocolate ganache. I can only describe the flavor as deep and decadent, where you can really taste the high quality ingredients. While I was skeptical of the crunchy chocolate balls on top at first, they worked really well with an added pop in each bite 🍫 The pastry itself was huge and quite flaky, but a little hard to get through which made it quite hard and messy to eat. 📍Gaijin Dumpling House, Levenshulme We caught up with a friend this Saturday and took a trip to Gaijin Dumpling House in Levenshulme. It’s been on the cards for a while because we just love dumplings. But let’s be honest…we just love food! This is what we had 🥢 - The Mancunian Bao Buns (Fried Chicken, Siracha Mayo, Hot Sauce, Cheese Sauce, Fried Onion, Spring Onion, Lettuce, Toragashi) - Eggs and Hash Bao Buns (Hash brown, Egg Frittata, Spicy Siracha, Sweet chili Sauce, Scallion) - Pan fried mushroom dumplings - Veggie spring rolls The food was served as starters and mains with the spring rolls and dumplings first, then the Bao buns. You also get a portion of chips with the Bao buns which was a pleasant surprise! Lunch time, featuring @quorn_uk’s deli range 🌯 As you may have guessed already, I’m not a vegan nor veggie, but I do try and include meat-free products into meals. Quorn definitely makes it easier with their huge range of delicious products. I was very kindly gifted this huge haul of different 100% meat free deli slices from Quorn and @gifta_uk. They arrived today, just in time for work from home lunch. What did I make? I decided to go for a New York style wrap using the Quorn Roast Beef style slices, mixed leaves, mayo, gherkins, grated mozzarella and a drizzle of American style mustard 🤤 It was absolutely delicious if I do say so myself, and the deli slices are full of flavour. I can’t wait to get whipping up some different lunches next week with the rest of the deli selection 😍. … #PR/gifted
