I didn’t have “Hang out with Mikkey Dee till 4am at a Denny’s on the Las Vegas Strip” on my Wednesday night BINGO card 😂 Thank you Red Cup Geoff for the invite and a great time! I was in Vegas for a corporate gig with @taintedloveband and as soon as we left the stage, I headed from the Aria, across the street to Planet Hollywood in my stage clothes, to catch the last half of @scorpions residency set with @red_cup_geoff @georgepajonjr and @irablack_official_ After the show we headed back to @mikkeydeeofficial dressing room, after which our group was off to a blues dive bar off the strip called The Sand Dollar to watch @stoneycurtis77 - with surprise jams by #shrapnelrecords Mike Varney, @blackeyedpeas guitarist @georgepajonjr and the man himself @mikkeydeeofficial I got back to my hotel room at 4:15am, but not before hitting the last stop of the night…why, @dennysdiner of course! Nothing like breakfast at 3am with old friends and new friends. I’m #Humbled, to say the least.

"Nosferatu", Helstar. Albums that have influenced Bleak Flesh. To start off with, the biggest strength of this record, Helstar’s fourth, is that it manages to be innately balanced without really sacrificing anything. Namely, between cutting, thrashing force and its sickly, gothic atmosphere; the juxtaposition of its cutting rhythm guitar work and its flowing, studiously composed neo-classical styled lead work. Nosferatu feels like the album that their other 80’s albums were basically building toward – Remnants of War and A Distant Thunder are two records that are, certainly, quite brilliant a lot of the time in their own right. Brilliantly brash records that marry the melodicism and epic scope of US power metal with the aggression of thrash metal. They’re both albums that deserve spots in your record collection. But Nosferatu, even with the ballyhooed difference between sides A and B, is the record in which they put everything together so crisply and efficiently. ------ Para empezar, la mayor fortaleza de este disco, el cuarto de Helstar, es que logra tener un equilibrio innato sin sacrificar realmente nada. Es decir, entre la fuerza cortante y azotadora y su atmósfera gótica y enfermiza; la yuxtaposición de su cortante trabajo de guitarra rítmica y su fluido solista de estilo neoclásico cuidadosamente compuesto. Nosferatu se siente como el álbum hacia el que básicamente se estaban construyendo sus otros álbumes de los 80: Remnants of War y A Distant Thunder son dos discos que, sin duda, son bastante brillantes la mayor parte del tiempo por derecho propio. This album is solely instrumental, it combines speed metal with neoclassical metal and consists of 8 songs, almost all of them composed by Marty Friedman except "Saturation Point" and "Jewel", which were composed by Jason Becker. Perfection is a word that is rarely utilized when referring to an album in its entirety. With "Dragon's Kiss", there is simply no alternative to describe this amazing and masterful work of art. Marty Friedman's debut solo effort is probably one of the best instrumental "Metal" albums of all time. Every song is intricately woven together piece by piece with incredible structures and amazing guitar solos. It came out in 1987 when the band consisted of guitarists Jason Becker and Marty Friedman, drummer Atma Anur, and Peter Marrino on Vocals. "Second Heat", Racer X. Albums that have influenced Bleak Flesh. "Second Heat" is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Racer X, released in 1987 by Shrapnel Records. It is the first production with guitarist Bruce Bouillet and drummer Scott Travis, who joined the previous year as a replacement for Harry Gschoesser. Within the track listing is a version of "Moonage Daydream" by David Bowie and "Heart of a Lion" by Judas Priest. This last song was recorded by the British band for the album Turbo, but was ultimately not included in the production. It should be noted that the song was a birthday gift that Rob Halford gave to Jeff Martin, since they had been friends for years, although without the consent of K.K.
