On my birthday (Monday) I decided it would be quite appropriate to raid the lilac bushes in the parking lot. Pulled together quite the bouquet if I do say so myself! A little beauty goes a long way especially in times like these when the world feels like it's in a pressure cooker. • Here's a cool tip and some tmi/too much info for yo lilacs... Lilacs and other woody stemmed flowers do best cut and placed in water when you peel back the bark a little and splay or break apart the bottom of the stem allowing them to more easily take up water.
